### 4/5 — Whats w the obsession w taps?

*2026-04-25, version 1.0.26*

Like bro almost every upgrade is taps this, taps that. Tap build still aint even attractive without 2 spell slots for multiplicitive bonuses. And then hold tap is randomly 1/10th what a human can do w 2 fingers

### 4/5 — would reccomened

*2026-04-01, version 1.0.26*

never forces ads down your throat. can watch an ad for a x2.5 money boost for 4 hours, but its not necessary to progress at a reasonable pace. rlly good game, way better than most of the ad-ridden junk on the app store

### 5/5 — Love love love this game.

*2025-05-16, version 1.0.18*

I’m an adult gamer who has hunted for and played mobile games for years. I’ve found my sweet spot is games with an idle function that allow me to farm when life gets busy or I’m working, but is minimally distracting and has active play when I’ve got the time.

Idle games have been SATURATED over the years with copy and paste mechanics and unoriginal art styles, or cringy premises like “prison warden” 🤢

Not so with Grimoire. I love that it’s distilled to two main playstyles tap or idle, but the heart and joy of the game boils down to enhancing the mathematics of your boosts and multipliers. Upgrades beyond your budget are hidden and maintain a sense of mystery. Ascension is fun as it allows you to frequently “pass your Grimoire to a new user” who will make completely different societal choices.

There’s beauty in Grimoire simplicity that doesn’t feel hollow or thin.

### 5/5 — Just a great Game

*2025-03-17, version 1.0.18*

I had a good time, I’ve almost beaten it, but it was one of the best idle clicker games I’ve ever played

### 5/5 — So fun

*2025-03-16, version 1.0.18*

The fact that the idle has no limit makes it so much better and more fun

### 5/5 — Actually 🔥

*2025-02-17, version 1.0.18*

is actually honest about the adds being fully optional. ive been playing for about a week and im already obsessed! would definitely recommend if you're a fan of these types of games. (plus i love the little story parts)

### 5/5 — Mildly Addicting

*2025-02-14, version 1.0.18*

I’ve tapped the screen 1.65 million times playing this game. I’ve beaten the game 4 times. And I’m still playing…

### 5/5 — Highly recommended for idle fans

*2025-02-06, version 1.0.18*

This game far exceeded my expectations. It’s very minimalist but in a sleek way, not amateurish. It’s your standard idle clicker but progress is fun and there’s a steady drip of new mechanics. There’s also a meta-story about the grimoire which is well told. There also aren’t any obtrusive ads. You can watch a 60 second ad for a 3 hour boost and that’s it, no treasure chests to click to get an extra ad and gold, etc… There’s a fun irony here, the idle game I’m most interested in spending $5 to remove ads/support the devs os the one that I feel least pressured to do so.

### 5/5 — wow

*2024-10-12, version 1.0.14*

I don't know how they did it, but when my progress slows down I get confused and think that I should just give up, but then I rebirth (whatever it's called) and I do one thing different and it has massive changes. definitely not for people who like a lot of colors and visuals because this game has black white and blue, and some symbols. very beautifully simple

### 5/5 — respectfully of your time and fun as all get out

*2024-09-29, version 1.0.14*

the progress feels good and engaging, wether your tapping like your life depends on it or if you forgot about the game for three days, one o favorite idle games in a long time

### 5/5 — Saved my fingernails

*2024-08-15*

I played this game for a full year, and I love it. While its minimalist aesthetic may not be for everyone, it is for me. Grimoire is the perfect incremental game. I love how you get to strategize for tapping or for idle. There are no ads except for a single optional one for a 2.5x boost that lasts an entire 4 hours after you opt into a 30 second ad. This game respects you.

Here’s the greatest thing this game did for me, though. I used to pick my nails all the time. My cuticles were a war zone. But I spent that year playing Grimoire, and somewhere along the way, I lost my bad habit. It had been replaced by tap tap tapping. Even after not having played for a while (I got to my goal of beating the game from reset to all achievements in under an hour), the habit hasn’t come back. Grimoire Idle is the reason my fingernails grow out now. I was surprised when I learned that and I’m still so thankful now

### 4/5 — Enchantments Creation

*2024-08-10, version 1.0.14*

What does all followers gain mean? Does it mean you get more followers or your followers generate more?

### 5/5 — Definitely a great game!

*2024-06-07*

This is one of the best idle incremental games I’ve ever played. You start off pretty slow but what really makes it unique is that you can choose your own path. You can go for a more tap oriented style or idle oriented. There are various spells and powerful combinations. The only problem I have is that certain things aren’t explained what they do. For example the prophet evolution says it increases follower rune gain by the number of followers. Yet it doesn’t specify what kind of rune gain. Idle? Tap? What about increasing followers itself? It leads to be confused about what certain paths even do. I think you should add a “more details” part you can click and view about individual pathways. Otherwise it’s a really good game.

### 5/5 — Banger

*2024-06-06, version 1.0.14*

I’d put a description here but I can’t be bothered

### 4/5 — Amazing Game, just needs some balancing

*2024-03-19*

Grimoire Incremental is a super engaging incremental game, combining strategy to build up your multipliers and master the magic of the Grimoire. The loop of retiring and building different strategies each run in order to get to the next upgrade for the Grimoire is super engaging and really takes some thinking in order to plan your next build. I love the simple interface and I’m nearing the end of the game with three more achievements left.

That being said the game is really hurt by balance, specifically the prophet build in the game. Your third society option has so much power it defines your entire build that run, and they’re all so different that it makes sense to use different ones depending on your upgrades and goals. But the prophet is so underpowered, that it’s not optimal to use it for multiplier notes and it feels awful to use for expeditions that obviously want to use it. This creates a really big roadblock at the 10Qa follower and 20M comprehension expedition. It should be a good build for this with the recent library sprite upgrade you get, but that library sprite upgrade is also so bad that without making it to body augmentation it’s still impossible to make it to the 10Qa followers that the tyrant build can make so easily. A buff to the final library sprites upgrade would infinitely help the prophet build, and making lichdom actually add the follower bonus to your total would also help prophet even be a late game build, but for now tyrant by far reins supreme, and it’s boring building it every run for idle note multiplier.

### 5/5 — Fascinating

*2024-02-19, version 1.0.14*

Absolutely fascinating and addictive. I’ve played a bunch of these incremental games that trigger some part of the brain that loves to see really big numbers, but most of them the novelty wears off after a few play throughs, and that’s because of a simple relationship: xp means more damage, more damage means more xp, wash rinse repeat. But here there is a complex interaction between different stats allowing for different ‘builds’. Long after the story elements have been repeated and are no longer a driving element (which they are for quite a while) just crunching those numbers keeps you coming back.

### 5/5 — mysterious..

*2024-02-02, version 1.0.14*

super interesting and fun!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible game

*2023-09-17, version 1.0.14*

Gross game that has no content or fun. You just tap on a rune and buy upgrades that don’t really help at all. What’s the end goal? What am I doing this for? The story makes no sense and takes too long for any update to make it fun. If you’re making a game make it so you don’t wanna put it down. Make it fun, don’t incentivize the player to turn the game off for progress. This should have never been made and whoever made it should be ashamed and sad about themselves

### 1/5 — Not interesting or rewarding at all

*2022-09-05, version 1.0.12*

I have been playing for a few days and thought maybe there would be some grand plot reveal but nothing has happened. You just tap or hold your finger on the screen and every so often you get small snippets of story that only talks about writing runes with no substance. The game does not feel rewarding for the time you waste clicking. And no interesting graphics, just plain text and symbols on the main screen. You can have a boring game with good graphics or an interesting game with bad graphics, but you can’t have a boring game with no graphics.

### 1/5 — Not a game

*2022-07-07, version 1.0.10+b*

Hold button. Do nothing. Lame non game

### 1/5 — Waste

*2022-07-06, version 1.0.10+b*

Your constantly tapping for what? Don’t waste your time why are you gaining followers or more ways to tap, for nothing of course, but to gain more ways to tap faster. Basic point is nothing but to waste time.

### 2/5 — mid at its finest.

*2024-06-08, version 1.0.14*

incredibly dull and even more repetitive than the average incremental game.
you either sit there tapping endlessly for very little gain, or have to just stop playing and come back hours later to get enough for an upgrade. i thought “well ill just see how it goes if i keep playing” it goes nowhere lol. its the same thing until the end of that game and it isn’t even enjoyable to begin with.
bonus points for creativity and aesthetic, minus points for the least depth in any incremental game ive played. even the og cookie clicker is much better . sorry !

### 2/5 — So close.

*2023-12-11*

I can really get sucked into clicker/idle games that open up to have a nice story or good mechanics. This I was extremely into for the first month. Yes a full month of progressing, optimizing etc. but after that point I hit the last few relics remaining. The game slowed to an absolute crawl. The multipliers stopped coming in. Legacies were all unlocked. I can hit every single point on the social tree within seconds. But I was at a wall. I paid to stop needing to deal with the candle as that bonus was absolutely crucial but to no avail.

The last two relics were just not possible for me to reach. So I left the game alone for a full month to let my followers accrue as much as possible (with the tyrant + artifact follower mass combo) and I came back with this massive bonus and still had to tap for a few minutes just to buy another upgrade.

The beginning of the game was fun and nicely paced. The end of the game is absolutely frustrating, slow and nothing is happening. It’s not even worth it to finish it. It’d probably take me anywhere between 6 months to a year! For a clicker mobile game!

If they ever fix the end game balancing I’ll come back just to complete it. But it’s such a disappointment to sink so much time into it (over 100 days) to not have any payoff.

### 2/5 — poorly balanced

*2023-02-20, version 1.0.14*

Eventually hits a hard wall that basically entirely stops progress.

### 2/5 — Great game to give yourself an RSI with

*2022-08-26, version 1.0.12*

So. Much. Tapping.

### 3/5 — Losing my entire progress

*2024-08-15*

Before I lost my phone my progress on this game was far, I unlocked artifacts and unlocked the three choices after the buying mansion and water the other two choices were, and since I was mostly idle I would pick my second choice as 100% per artifact created ever and I even managed to get my comprehension to 4.27k, and when I lost my phone, since my Game Center showed up for achievements and stuff I assumed that I’ll be able to keep my progress on another phone, well it turns out I couldn’t keep it and I’m not gonna lie, I’m kinda upset bout it.

I’m conclusion: It doesn’t save Progress between phones, so don’t lose ur phone

### 3/5 — Meh?

*2024-05-30, version 1.0.14*

Fun at first. Then I had to time travel 100 years to get anyway on this game.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — really good

*2026-04-28, version 1.0.26*

its just fun. its not too grindy unless you want it to be by skipping the corruptive researches. im normal.

### 5/5 — Question on tap farming.

*2026-02-22, version 1.0.25*

do you think if I have my phone between my butt cheeks, I could farm lifetime taps while I'm doing other things?

### 5/5 — great game!

*2025-12-09, version 1.0.24*

Overall a great game! Got a new phone, lost a years worth of progress (Around 300 days), but to be honest, im fine with starting over! I love this game. So much.

### 5/5 — Sweet Spot

*2025-09-16, version 1.0.22*

This game hits a nice sweet spot that I like in idle games. It allows you to live your life and put it down without much consequence but allows for strategic and logical thinking on how to optimally progress when one has time. I bought the 4.99 2.5x boost which does not seem to be required to enjoy the game but I got it mostly to throw the developer a few bucks.

### 5/5 — Simplicity at its finest

*2025-09-06, version 1.0.22*

A super minimalist idle game with one goal. Make number go up.

The Grimoire theme is perfect for those who’d like a less distracting experience.

The scaling is very well done, a goal is always in reach with the right sequencing and a little patience.

### 5/5 — What a nobis game

*2025-08-17, version 1.0.22*

This is my favorite incremental nobis game I’ve ever played it is full of numbers and limbs and I enjoy this keetadonian

### 5/5 — My favorite idle game!

*2025-07-04, version 1.0.20*

As some critical reviews have said, I used to think this game was stupid because it got to be too difficult to advance at a certain point. However, you really just have to get creative with all the different upgrades! If you’re ever stuck for more than a day, you’re probably doing something wrong

### 5/5 — Great game

*2025-06-05, version 1.0.20*

If you enjoy incremental games this one is for you

### 5/5 — Great game

*2025-05-21, version 1.0.20*

Played it for a week! Finding how different stats synergies with the mechanics was great fun. Would recommend

### 5/5 — i absolutely love this game but...

*2025-05-17, version 1.0.18*

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ADD MORE CONTENT I WANT MORE GAMPLAY THIS GAME IS SO FUN
