## What is Grind Distortion?

A true powerhouse of audio warfare, Grind puts the "damage" in Audio Damage. From subtle tube-style saturation to full-on mangled wavetable distortion, Grind is a Swiss Army Knife of sound design. This effect consists of three main blocks: wavetable lookup, in to algorithmic saturation/distortion/, and finally to a multi-mode filter with eleven different topologies, from your favorite four-pole lowpass ladder filter, to the 18dB screaming acid, to more subtle toolbox filters like notch. Driving it all is a tempo-synced LFO for rhythmic filtering and grinding. 

Grind is code-identical to our VST/AU/AAX version, and can even load its presets. Take your favorite destruction plug on the road with you in this AudioUnits v3 version. Also includes a stand-alone app.

Could be great but in the Auv3 buttons don’t work so you can’t control the parameters, why don’t they update it? I would pay for it :(

All the apps are great I own almost every one of them but this one just wont work. 5 Stars for all the others-QuatroMod, Discord and Phase Three you can’t get better but Gring dont work. Wish it did

Unfortunately this is one of those abandoned apps that had the potential to become great. While it works, the distortion feels terrific. However, if you click on any of the buttons below, the app is dead until you unload & reload, limiting the customizability to only the knobs.

When using the app as a Auv3, the buttons kind of don’t work. If I push the button to change the wave for the LFO, it would crash the plug-in it’s self.

Since iOS 16, if you try and change the algorithm, filter type or shape then the app becomes unresponsive and freezes. The app hasn’t had an update for years and now it’s broken. Avoid.

This is a distinctive take on the old distortion/crunch effect. When a project or line need a hop in the rear, this never fails to take sounds to new heights of enthused depravity.

I have had no problems with the app regarding AU-host compatibility. It will not write your thank-you letters to grandma or cure your addictions, but it will do some pleasingly twisted things to your audio.

Grind gets my bubbling-warm recommendation.

1. Redesigned GUI (So the desktop and iOS versions match.) Replaced the font for better legibility. Moved some controls so the GUI better matched the signal flow. 
2. Rebuilt with all current SDKs.
3. Fixed a problem where filter type wasn't reloading correctly. Unfortunately, the only way to fix this was to replace the parameter. So any existing saves with previous versions will resolve to 4PLP filter until you re-save the session.
