The cynic of me says this is on purpose £££, or just a result of poor UAT ### 2/5 — Banned *2026-08-23, version 26.14.1* I have had my account banned for no apparent reason so I opened a new account on a new email and number and Phone and that was banned in less than two weeks and I have hardly spoken to anybody on this site. I rather suspect that somebody has a grudge against me and has made false reports against me so now I have lost all my contacts and I have to sit and play the waiting game until my appeals are reviewed. To my knowledge I have not broken any of the guidelines or rules and I have paid until March next year but I cannot access anything and I can’t even get a refund ### 1/5 — Not 5* *2026-08-22, version 26.14.1* Clearly same fake reviews on here. Overpriced. Full of 'straights' ( as if don't have anywhere else to go) chasing trans... constantly blocking the same idiots over and over as account creations as simple as farting. Deleting! ### 1/5 — Worst app imaginable, epitome of owner greed *2026-08-22, version 26.14.1* The people who own the rights to this app are blatantly taking features away on a regular basis, even from those paying for their most premium subscription. To be clear, all prices for all subscriptions to this app are exorbitant, but I have their unlimited subscription and even with that I suddenly I can no longer view my full chat history which now only goes back a few months, and the search feature for favorites notes was removed. For a service called “unlimited” it sure seems like they are adding more and more *LIMITS* by the day. They obviously do this because they are the most well-known app of their kind and people will use it anyway, but they should absolutely continue to be called out for it, or they’ll continue to take things away and keep charging the same price. Hopefully a competitor will eventually fix that. Their 4.5+ star rating in Apple is absurd and not at all deserved, most likely paid for or something along those lines because there’s no way the majority of this app’s users are actually satisfied with it. As a result, I don’t expect the legitimate negative reviews to make any difference as they won’t outweigh the contrived ones, but still, any users reading this should give it the poor rating it deserves so they either go out of business or are forced to bring back the features they know users want but they get away with removing anyway because users don’t voice their extreme dissatisfaction. They deserve zero stars until they stop exhibiting this blatant greed and disregard for people paying way too much money for their terrible app just because of the name recognition. Updated to add: when using the explore feature, they put popular users at the top of the grid, so there’s no reliable way to sort those by distance. Also their “for you” section removes people from the regular grid so you don’t see them sorted by distance with other users, and also cannot tap them. All of these features should have an option to disable, but of course they don’t because once again, the developers are garbage people exploiting the fact that their users have limited competitor options. ### 1/5 — Opening my browser w/o consent *2026-08-22, version 26.14.1* While scrolling the profiles the app will open my browser and redirect to a website. I have repeatedly reached out regarding an issue and have gone 26 days without receiving a response, despite following up multiple times. Their standard explanation is that responses may be delayed due to a “high volume of requests,” but at some point, you have to wonder how much of that volume is created by people having to repeatedly submit requests or follow up because their original concerns are simply not being addressed. I understand that delays happen, but 26 days without meaningful communication or even basic follow-up is not reasonable customer service. If a company is going to provide a support or appeals process, there should actually be someone available to respond within a reasonable amount of time. What makes the experience even more frustrating is how quickly action can be taken against an account, while getting someone to review the situation, explain what happened, or respond to an appeal seems to take an unreasonable amount of time. The lack of communication, transparency, and responsiveness has been incredibly disappointing. Thankfully, I do not pay for this service, because based on the customer support I have experienced, I certainly would not recommend paying for it. It allowed me to see their distance in relation to other faved profiles which had a distance displayed. But with the latest version you can only fave two profiles unless you pay so I can’t see where profiles sit in the overall distance amongst other faved profiles. And Grindr is too expensive to pay for. So now it’s unsafe. I get they want to make money, but they have all those ads.
