Thanks ### 3/5 — Does what it says. Quirky. *2019-05-17, version 2.3.3* This app seemed to come up again and again when I looked for a solution to set a ringtone for all of my contacts. I downloaded it - paid version- and was able to set a ring tone for all of my contacts. Then I added new contacts.... Nothing. The edit contacts screen didn't work right. The all contacts group didn't update even when I let it run for a long time. I deleted the app figuring that since it worked the first time I would just reset it. It remembered it's old data upon reinstall. The trick is that you have to change the current chosen ringtone and then change it back to what you want in order to trigger an update to the new contacts. Jeesh ### 3/5 — Inconsistent *2018-12-15, version 2.3.3* The developer does not keep in step with iOS updates. For the longest time the app crashed and than after a very long time support for iOS 11 was added. It says it will work on “this phone” but all I get is a screen with my groups. As soon as I tap a group the app crashes. I’ve restarted the iPhone and still the app still crashes. You can only add one member to a group and then it will crash. So I'm using that to edit and create groups now. I'm hoping that this one will get an iOS 11 update soon, as I'd really like to have the ability to assign ringtones by groups again. Edit 1: crashes in ios 11. I hope this gets fixed, I really like the function this app provides. Original review: This app is a little awkward, but it does what it says: allows you to create contact groups, manage existing groups, and assign a ringtone to an entire group of contacts at once, on the phone - a function I was surprised and frustrated that the iPhone doesn't support natively. Invaluable for those with lots of contacts who want to categorize their incoming calls aurally - but who don't want to set a gazillion ringtones one by one. e.g. 1 ringtone for work colleagues, another for clients, another for friends or family, etc. The app could be improved by having a native English speaker proofread the instructions and popup prompts, and it also doesn't sport the most stylish or beautiful interface. But since it's function is something of a 'set it and forget it', the clunkiness is mostly forgiveable. ### 1/5 — App crashes *2017-10-21, version 2.3.2* Under 11.0.3 app crashes when any group is clicked on. Your app is what has been missing from iOS contacts app!! Features are great and functionality is awesome. Allows you to assign ring tones, text tones and vibes for groups of contacts. Would be better if, when going to assign contactS to a group, it let you know if a contact was already in a group. But it does what it does pretty well and i have not felt the need to go looking for another one. ### 5/5 — Perfect solution *2018-05-06, version 2.3.3* I want my phone to buzz for all calls but only ring for contacts. It seems like this should be built in to the iPhone but it's not. The solution is to purchase a silent ringtone and set it as the default. Then set all your contacts to an audible ringtone. But the iPhone also has no way to sign all those audible ringtones at once! The Gringtone app is the solution. You can create a group of contacts you want to ring (mine had 639 members) and then assign them all a ringtone at once. As of May 2018 it works perfectly with iOS 11.3. ### 5/5 — Awesome once again! *2018-05-03, version 2.3.3* Hooray - GRingtones is back - it works with iOS 11.3!!
