### 5/5 — Easy to use, simple shopping support

*2026-07-08*

As a mom, peace of mind while shopping for our family is my top priority. This app is super simple to use and makes quick grocery runs that much more efficient. Love it!

### 5/5 — No other way to know

*2026-07-07*

Only way to know full transparency of whatever you purchase. A lot of apps will tell you what’s good or what’s bad about products but I’ve never seen one then. Also let you know what’s good or bad about the companies. I didn’t know that Nestle had child labor or that there had been such big recalls for baby food. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who cares about what their money goes towards.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 2.0.0 — 2026-09-05

Food Expose is now Grocery Max, rebuilt to help you eat better and shop smarter.

-Plan a full week of meals around your budget, diet, and stores
-Automatic grocery lists from your plan
- Step-by-step guided cooking
-Real recipe photos and shareable recipe cards
-A fresh new look and logo

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-10

-We're Food Exposé now. New name, new icon, and a new sidekick named Specs who turns up around the app!

-Ingredients in plain English. We rewrote hundreds of ingredient explanations to make them easier to read.
-We also stopped showing garbled label text and duplicate ingredients, and when a label hides something behind "vegetable oil," we name the real oil.
-Suggest a product by name. No barcode needed. Tell us what to add right from your profile, even if you're nowhere near a store.
-Know who owns what you scan. We nearly doubled how often a scan traces a brand back to its real parent company, and added 32 companies - including the chains behind store brands.
-Straighter answers. Some company pages were filling in blanks where we didn't have the data. Now a blank says blank.
-Sharing is free. Send any scan to anyone. No subscription needed.
-A new start. Set a goal, pick a deadline, get a nudge twice a week.
-Results pulled live from the open food database are now labeled, so you can tell what we've reviewed from what we haven't.
-Fixed: a crash on the home screen and a few places where the back button didn't behave.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-07-14

-Homepage redesign to be more visually appealing
-bug fixes
-added more curated products
-search feature improved

### 1.0 — 2026-07-07

No release notes.
