Its way of remembering the purchase order of items is handy: not always perfect, but it improves with each trip! It is the app we use in the household for our shopping lists. The Pet Peeve: The App Insists On Capitalizing Every Word All The Time On Ios, Just Like This Paragraph. This Is Incredibly Annoying. It’s Especially Annoying In The Units Field, Where Capital Letters Can Actually Change The Meaning Of Units. On Macos, It At Least Only Auto-Capitalizes The First Word, But Still…. My Dear Fellow Developer, Most Of Us Write Our Shopping Lists In _all lowercase_ Except For Brand Names; Almost None Of Us Want Every Word Capitalized. Please Give Us A Setting To Change The Capitalization Modes Of Input Fields. And Please Show Completion Suggestions Using The Capitalization With Which They Were Originally Entered, So That I See “PB pretzels” instead of “Pb Pretzels.” Two much more minor UI complaints: 1. On iOS, it's too easy to accidentally lose an item by clicking / tapping outside the entry area. Data loss should always come with a warning / confirmation. 2. The blank space above “unsorted items” is large enough that it can seem like the list is already scrolled all the way to the bottom before reaching them. On two separate occasions, I have completely missed the unsorted items during a shopping trip! All that said, this is our go-to shopping app, and we make heavy use of it. If there’s a better one, we haven’t found it. ### 3/5 — Needs work *2026-07-28, version 3.1.4* I’m not purchasing premium on this app until it improves the online shopping integration feature. I can never get it to connect to walmart, HEB, or Aldi. I’m pretty tech savvy and so this shouldn’t be an issue…I’m tired of messing with it. Basically, without that integration, the only major thing it does that’s helpful is improve the sorting on your reminders grocery list ### 3/5 — Broken after latest update *2026-07-27, version 3.3.1* This was a great app but after the latest update it no longer will allow me to update my list. Share link between two users that have the same app should properly export and import the items under the same store name but this doesn’t work. Also for some reason so items have %7C at the end of the line. ### 3/5 — Sharing Not Working *2026-05-17, version 3.3.0* This seemed like such a great idea but unfortunately I tried multiple times to share the link with my husband and it was blank every time. I gave up trying after the 6th time. Upside, it doesn’t collect your data. If it is not slow on your phone, this may be worth looking in to. ### 2/5 — Use to be great, only ok now *2026-03-29, version 3.3.0* I really only use this app for event meal planning on shopping. What loved about it was I would tell it what recipes I want to cook, check off things I already have, and it would make one clean list. I had smart Clean Up on and I am still getting 6 different “egg” list items. I try to rename them with count to see if then it would combine and instead the item just vanished. I am using it for one more event as I am too close to the food shopping to find a new one but I will be changing soon. ### 2/5 — Not working on iOS 26.3 *2026-02-12, version 3.3.0* I have used this for quite some time! Other people in my household don’t seem to like to use it, and prefer to just access the shared Apple reminders list the app references. Unfortunately I now need to revert to just using the Apple reminders list, since the app is no longer working on the latest iOS. Hopefully the devs see this comment, and can work out how to fix this. I couldn’t find a way of contact anyone, besides twitter; which I prefer not to use. It was good while it lasted! I’m paying the subscription for the extra features, so it was really something I found useful. ### 4/5 — Nice app *2026-02-07, version 3.3.0* It was a very nice app. It gets 1 star off as it does not import recipes from the internet ### 2/5 — Has some good points but *2026-01-18, version 3.3.0* It’s just far too complicated to use. The nonsense with sorting is totally needless and who knows what it’s trying to do. Household sync doesn’t work at all on our phones and the explanations in help are long-winded and confusion. I really don’t care, I just want to share lists. It should just work and it doesn’t. On a single phone and ignoring the over-bloated sorting, it’s fine but there are hundreds of list apps that work for that purpose. ### 3/5 — Nice app but buggy *2026-01-16, version 3.3.0* This is a nice app. I like the list one my Apple Watch. However I found that adding items the shopping list totals are not updated or inconsistently updated. Which means a lot of messing around to get shopping list price totals. I would have liked a Windows version so that I could look online at prices etc and paste across. So this makes a lot of manual entry. The scan to update the list is handy. But is store dependent. However I do have a good idea. ### 4/5 — Works decently *2026-01-16, version 3.3.0* I downloaded this because my previous app was only available for android. It’s okay, but now it doesn’t give me a total amount for what’s on my list. It would be great if it did and maybe (as my precious app did) a total for what’s checked off ie: in my cart and for what’s left to be checked off. The creators behind this app are clearly not actually using this app. It’s such a mess honestly. I thought it would be as simple as Notes, just make a list. All I wanted was to be able to add prices, then get a total. I thought this app would do just that. But no, it’s beyond confusing. “What’s in stock/out of stock” that feature makes no sense. I just want to go thro a mastery list & add what I need for the day. If you don’t need something on your list, you can select it but it doesn’t go awhile, so you still see while shopping. Or you have to remove it from the list & then whatever the inventory feature does with it, is confusing. I don’t need a damn inventory keeping track, it has no idea what I’ve used through the week or not. It’s assuming. I could go on, but I’ll stop here. Someone needs to actually use this app not just create it & put it out there for others to figure out what’s wrong with it. There’s no update available for the app so… did I just waste my money? ### 1/5 — A bit buggy! *2026-03-12, version 3.3.0* Update: app no longer opens, dev needs to give it a bit of tlc Pros: this app integrates really well with ios reminders, meaning it also works with Siri. It also has a decent Apple Watch app, works with live activities, and is very customisable. Cons: quite a few bugs! I’ve noticed things like ui elements duplicating, graphical flashing, and the settings menu doesn’t always save my changes forcing me to redo them. Also, let’s be honest, the app is a little bit ugly. Suggestions: fix the bugs, obviously. I’d also really like to see a beautification pass. Some translucency layers and some textured/skeuomorphic backgrounds could go a long way, maybe even different backgrounds per list. Please look at the Wishlists app for inspiration. I’d also like to see the recipes section get a glow up, at a minimum I’d like to be able to add images. Please look at the Mela app for inspiration. One time purchase, no subscription, no data collection. It just works, and it’s easy for my wife and I to collaborate on the shared grocery list across our phones. The only drawback is that the app might be a little intimidating because there’s so much to offer and learn…one may NEVER fully appreciate or use all of its benefits. It’s excellent! My only complaint is that if I add a note, it doesn’t transfer to inventory. Or if I add an item description, it doesn’t show as a note when it gets added to my list for repurchase. I want notes to stick. It’s not helpful if I add “air filter - 12x24x1” but the note with the size doesn’t show up and I have to go hunt it down every time. ### 5/5 — Exactly what a shopping app should be *2026-02-07, version 3.3.0* I have downloaded and used multiple grocery list apps over the last few years trying to get away from using my notes on my phone. This app is such a treat. And I can use it for other stores that I frequently use. I just use the free version however I am flirting with downloading the premium to start using the other options. BEST! Grocery list utility. Ever. It has a growing list of little features that I have never seen in any other grocery list utility app or general list app or anything. Examples: price tracking, bar code scanning, inventory management, aisle (catergory) editing, different lists for different grocery stores, the BEST meal planning/ recipe utility (probably half the heft of the app), unit editing per item (1 "5lb bag" of rice vs 1 bag of rice), a notes line for each item, AND IT GOES ON! I also cannot say enough good about the creator of this app; the best I can do is to assure you that since I bought this app 4 or 5 years ago, I have seen nothing but evidence of their devotion and passion for this app. Absolute gem. Love it. Can't recommend it enough. ### 5/5 — Great App, wish Inventory was more Customizable *2025-10-08, version 3.3.0* I’ve been using this app with the lifetime plan and have been loving it for the majority of the time (there was a small bit of time where loading it up would take forever and it would crash a lot, but an update later took care of that and it works smoothly now). The extra 1 time cost is definitely worth it and I’d recommend it to anyone. The App certainly does have a learning curve especially when it comes to sharing with family, but once you get used to syncing Reminders and the Grocery App, it becomes much easier. Being able to keep track of Groceries across multiple stores and automatically syncing with others is great. Being able to keep recipes, also sync them with others, AND also have the ability to mealplan and add ingredients automatically to the Grocery Lists is also super handy and useful. The 1 spot I wish would be improved is the Inventory section which I find myself hardly ever using. In all honesty, setting an expiration time for items is useful, but hard to predict. Honestly I think the thing that would make this section more useful is if we had the ability to organize it into separate categories, such as Leftovers, Fridge, Pantry, Laundry, etc… this way it would be easier to look for and keep track of specific items or say even keep track of items for a specific room.
