I really wanted this to work for me. I unexpectedly had to adopt a family dog due to an emergency. I found this through a Google search and saw that they could do same-day service, if you pay for one of the upper tier packages—upwards to $200. I selected the available slotted time, HAD TO PRE-PAY, but it was never accepted. The person it was assigned to didn’t respond until after the time I picked. Mind you, I booked it 3 hours prior. The app then had me reschedule, so I saw that I could make my work schedule free two days after if I got up early enough for the appointment at 8am. *Mind you, I also work in a similar industry of service and have my own practice.* My scheduled appointment was at 8am and the person cancelled 10min before the time scheduled—due to van issues. So, if she was planning on leaving at 7:50am, she would have been very late, otherwise, she should have messaged me earlier for either 1. She was having issues and may run late or 2. Told me whenever she discovered the issue that It would have to be canceled. I rearranged my calendar for this and it wasted my time. Maybe it will work for you, but it didn’t for me. ### 2/5 — Inconsistent and poor customer service *2026-02-09, version 4.0.19* I booked one appointment quite successfully through the app and was very happy to try to book again. When I selected the appointment time offered, I never heard back from the groomer or the app saying whether the appointment was confirmed, though my card was charged for the full fee. I even wrote to the live chat to ask and they told me to wait and I would hear from them. I waited 5 days and never heard … so decided to go on faith assuming that they would follow through with the atonement time THEY offered. Instead, I waited for no one and had to reach out to the live chat in order to get them to cancel the PREPAID APPOINTMENT. It was an awful experience, wasting my time and taking work from another groomer that could have booked my appointment. Horribly unprofessional and will not be using again. ### 2/5 — Inflexible *2026-02-08, version 4.0.19* The Groomit site is annoyingly inflexible. The chat representatives are great in solving my issues. The prices have increased a lot over the past 2 years. ### 2/5 — Great Idea, Poor Execution *2025-10-31, version 4.0.13* After moving to a new home, our dogs were overdue for grooming. I found this app and was excited to try it, even though the price was double what we usually pay. I booked a week ahead, and a groomer confirmed right away. On the day of the appointment, just hours before, the groomer canceled. The app tried to reassign, but the replacement never confirmed. I eventually got a refund, but I was left scrambling to find another groomer and had to wait even longer. What seemed convenient at first turned into a frustrating waste of time. I would NOT recommend this app. ### 3/5 — Mobile grooming appointment *2025-10-25, version 4.0.13* Site does not move along fluidly . Takes a long time to get to the additional questions . On my phone it kept circling back to the same series of questions before it went on to further selections. Took me more time than it should have. Now I can’t even get a nickname . They seem to all be taken already ( including my own name)and it won’t let me proceed without one! Ugh! ### 3/5 — Great concept *2025-07-02, version 4.0.10* This is a great concept and could be very convenient especially for the pet parent who has to be in two places at once. It’s just expensive as a one-time use or an ongoing basis. I’ll make the time to take my pets to the groomer and buy groceries with the money I saved had I used this service. ### 2/5 — Too many hoops! *2025-06-21, version 4.0.10* The process is too long -I do not keep my dog's rabies test result on hand. So stupid ### 1/5 — Worst appointment EVER!!!! *2025-01-17, version 4.0.2* I brought my dog in thinking that it was going to go well had brushed him the night before he’s a very curly haired dog and come to the appointment. The guy who is cutting his hair starts telling me that he’s severely matted, which was not true and so I thought that he would be cutting him to shorter not taking all of his hair off. I come to pick him up and he’s completely bald not a single hair on him. I was borderline almost worried that he was hurting my dog because he had so little hair. I am extremely upset by this. I am a dog trainer and I know, and have worked with many dog groomers before and this was just very unprofessional. ### 5/5 — Love GROOMIT! *2025-01-02, version 4.0.2* I have used GROOMIT 4x and I love the at home service! It takes the stress out of having to load our dog up in the car. The app is user friendly and not complicated. I book with that specific Groomer and then I’m confirmed by another Groomer. It’s impossible to cancel. I get charged fees I shouldn’t be. Seems like a scam. ### 1/5 — First time disaster *2026-06-29, version 4.0.25* Had scheduled four dogs. They came about 3-4 hours late. Took the first dog, and then brought the second after I was told first was done. My dogs but is now bleeding. If I had uploaded ability to show pics I would. Cancelled the other 3. You make the call. ### 1/5 — Terrible grooming experience *2026-06-27, version 4.0.25* I booked my first service using Groomit this week. My dog was only partially trimmed and returned wet. The groomer refused to finish grooming him and Groomit would not offer me any type of refund for the incomplete service. My dog has been groomed many times with many other groomers and has never had any issues. ### 1/5 — Paid Upfront Just to Get Rejected *2026-05-14, version 4.0.24* Paying hundreds of dollars before an appointment is even truly confirmed is ridiculous. I was quoted around $360, rejected by multiple groomers, then pushed back to one who had already declined earlier. The biggest issue was the lack of respect for customers’ time and money. Their solution to all of this was offering a $20 credit. If appointments aren’t actually secured, companies shouldn’t charge premium prices upfront and market the service like it’s guaranteed. ### 1/5 — Terrible customer service *2026-03-31, version 4.0.21* Customer service is terrible, they will text you at 10:30 at night. They will also text you at 7:30 in the morning. I have 2 large dogs and they matched me with someone who clearly does not want to groom them. She has canceled both appointments. For something that’s so expensive to use, you would think the entire experience would be much better. However, an hour ago, Groomit texted me saying that 1:00 was available and asked me to change the time. I was upset, but I changed the time to 1:00. But I got a text right away saying that they couldn't come and that they said that I should make cancel.The company didn't take any action and I didn't get any compensation for wasting my day. This is the first time I've ever worked at a company like this. I wonder how a company that doesn't keep to the time and is so messy can do well. ### 1/5 — Do use this service *2025-04-18, version 4.0.7* My usual mobile groomers moved out of state and I been looking for new mobile grooming because I love the convenience of not leaving my dog somewhere for a few hours. I tried this one (much more expensive then the prior) but you know it is what is I’ll pay what I need for my dog he deserves it. The groomer shows up an hour late (that’s ok no biggie) so she asks the standard questions. I was a bit taken back when she told me she’s only been bitten once… in this field really????? My baby hates being groomed and she was fired from the previous groomer I had used because they needed 2 people to do the grooming and was not able to do it for her anymore. The new groomer did a phenomenal job on my baby. I feel that the groomer was able to calm my baby and was able to complete the job and my baby looked so good and exactly how I wanted it to be done. I will definitely recommend them to others.
