### 3/5 — A little limited

*2026-05-28, version 37.0*

I use this for running, I like matching my song tempo to my running cadence. I like that you can make playlists, but it drives me crazy that I can’t shuffle them. Please add a shuffle feature. Also, it’d be nice to just pick a BPM for all my songs rather than try and math the percentage increase or decrease for a specific BPM.

### 3/5 — Good but I was looking for more

*2026-01-04*

I like the app but it doesn’t suit my needs. I can understand and overlook the slight change in sound when the tempo is adjusted. I can work with that. What I thought it could do was sync the whole playlist to the same tempo. I wanted to use it for a fitness class. But I will just go back to the way I was doing it and live with the slight changes in tempo for each song. If you ever add that feature, I would use it all the time.

### 4/5 — Did exactly what it said it would do

*2025-01-31, version 35.4*

Downloaded it. Created a set list, imported my favorite playlist for my Apple Music, and then I airplay it to my Apple TV and the speakers. Worked perfectly definitely worth the money. I have a severe adult ADHD, and I need music to help me focus. But I need to speed it up. I’ve been waiting for an app like this for years. Thanks for not making it a subscription like Music Speed Changer.

What could be better:

You should be able to set a speed for an entire playlist, or have a speed set for all songs
Doing it for each song is very troublesome

why don’t you make this app available for the Mac? All you have to do is flip a switch and then the iPad version of the app will work on the Mac! Please do so! And it would be even greater if you had an Apple TV app too!

### 5/5 — Repeat

*2024-09-04, version 35.3*

Want to know, can i set track on repeat?

### 5/5 — Great tool for musicians

*2024-05-30, version 35.2*

I use this app all the time to learn guitar solos, couldn’t be happier!!!

### 4/5 — Good but some surprising omissions

*2024-05-24*

I’m using this app to casually listen to songs at a sped up tempo for workouts. It works but two things would make it an easy 5 star for me:
- Autoplay apple music playlists (not having to manually create a setlist from them, which is extra work to create and maintain)
- Default tempo for songs, I want to default to 20% instead of having to manually tweak every single one.
The apple music integration is otherwise great! Thank you for making!

### 2/5 — Don’t buy

*2024-04-14, version 35.2*

I paid 4.99 for something I can just as easily do on YouTube, total waste of money. I don’t like to just be negative so I’ll say that this app has potential but it needs work, the audio compression needs to be better at lower tempos and I think it would be nice to have other effects like maybe down tuning or up tuning ect. Not terrible but like I said you can get this effect on YouTube.

### 3/5 — Migliorabile

*2024-02-05, version 35.2*

### 3/5 — Not sure

*2024-01-16, version 35.2*

Bought this app and immediately regretted! Sure it has many features and the most feature I like was playing directly from the cloud stored music however I had to put the same tempo for each song it should be saved for the entire playlist! Even free apps has this feature.

### 3/5 — The playback speed is adjusted... But...

*2023-11-05, version 35.1*

I was planning on using this to listen to an audio book. I could add files to the playlist, but it stopped playing at the end of each file... And the playback speed was reset to 100%. Unfortunately not suitable for long trips in the car.

### 3/5 — Sometimes works...

*2023-08-16, version 35.1*

Sometimes doesn't work... Bad experience

### 5/5 — Worth it

*2023-07-13, version 35.1*

Worth the money! Very easy and simple no downloading or transferring needed def would recommend.

### 5/5 — Love this app… still a few glitches though

*2023-07-08*

I’m really enjoying the new set list options! I use this app to practice music. A lot. I’ve found when trying to practice a song in a different key I’m having some issues in set list mode. When I change the pitch on a song I own, switch songs, then go back to the previous one, the pitch shift controls go away (and it’s stuck in the new pitch). The only work around I’ve found so far, is to pick a totally different tune, close the app, reopen it, and then go back to the one with the pitch adjustment… Kind of a pain for now.

EDIT: I found a much better workaround to this little glitch… If a song you own is giving you trouble after you transpose it, open Apple Music, play that song for a split second… When you go back to Perfect Tempo, your transposition options magically reappear.

### 4/5 — Would like to see Beats Per Minute

*2023-06-13, version 35.1*

Happy I found this app but would love to see the BPM of the songs too.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Sounds terrible

*2025-01-14, version 35.4*

Sounds quality is trash.

### 1/5 — Dead app

*2024-02-08, version 35.2*

You can find better for free

### 1/5 — It’s honestly terrible

*2023-07-26, version 35.1*

The app itself is great. Very user-friendly but the way it slows the music is terrible. It should have sliders for speed and pitch. All it has is tempo making it sound terrible once you get to 20%

### 1/5 — “unable to play”

*2023-06-22, version 35.1*

almost all the songs i wanted to use this app with say “unable to play”. some songs on apple music work, some don’t. the app doesn’t explain why. why did i pay for an app that doesn’t fully work?

### 1/5 — What just happened??

*2023-06-12, version 35.0*

After the new update, I can’t play any of my Apple music. That was the whole reason I downloaded, and PAID, for this app. And since most of my music is Apple Music, app has become useless.

### 1/5 — Apple Music

### 1/5 — CJSTEPAN

*2022-05-01, version 33.1*

Can’t access my iTunes no options to get to my songs.

### 1/5 — Lame

*2022-04-25, version 33.1*

Why make an app that won’t allow you to use Apple Music. When Apple Music is the only means of getting songs to play on an iPhone. If that was going to be the case later on down the road, meaning now. The situation make one wonder, what was the whole point in purchasing the app

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Need two new features

*2026-06-07*

Very helpful and intuitive app. Two features will make this much more useful. (1) display the current bpm. (2) ability to export to mp3 if music is already an imported mp3 file or the drm tags allow it. Thanks for considering. This is worth additional payment imho 😊

### 5/5 — Perfect App

*2026-02-06, version 36.1*

Does exactly what I hoped it would. Well worth the price.

### 5/5 — Fully Blind

*2026-01-31, version 36.1*

[2026.01.31] fully blind user 8+ years using this now for a few months and love it, only tiny complaint is no song lookup by artist, and it’s understandable but I wish there was one like in Apple Music, instead of search

### 5/5 — Works Great

*2025-09-25*

Overall these reviews are harsh and don’t seem fair so I wanted to counterbalance. Perfect Tempo has always worked great for me and does just what it says it will do. I do wish it had the ability to transpose as well, but otherwise it works flawlessly and I’ve used it to teach music, practice my own music, and more! Big fan!

### 5/5 — the best!

*2025-09-23, version 35.5*

I would not have progressed In guitar without this app!

### 5/5 — Choreographer’s Dream

*2025-09-19, version 35.5*

I am a choreographer and use this app every day while teaching. Slow it down a little (or a lot) at first, and gradually bring it up to full tempo. Such a great tool while teaching!

### 5/5 — Great for dance setlists

*2025-05-08, version 35.4*

Perfect Tempo allows me to include fun songs that would be too fast for zouk. I’m no DJ and just want to play from my phone. I run a practica for once a week and this app has expanded the possible songs to dance to many fold.

### 5/5 — Easy to use and great for creating running playlist

*2025-04-08, version 35.4*

It’s like playing your 33s at 78 without it sounding like tracks are being sung by the chipmunks.

This is great for creating 180bpm tracks that I actually want to listen to while running to maintain running tempo.

### 5/5 — Great for line dancing

*2024-09-26, version 35.3*

This a nice app for learning line dancing. Easily lets you slow down a song, limit playback to just a section of the song and save a setlist. I create a setlist made up of the same song played at different speeds. I would love to also be able to save the loops. The way of setting the loop start and end can be finicky and easily messed up. It would be nice to see a waveform of the song to help with setting the endpoints of loops.

I’m able to use both my Apple music and my own music files.

Thanks for a nice app at a reasonable price,

### 5/5 — Amazing practice tool

*2024-09-06, version 35.3*

Worth every penny. I use this song to learn complex drum parts every day.

Being able to pull up a song, select a small portion, then slow it down makes really honing in on a part a breeze.

You can also upload your own files, so i have been able to upload tracks for all of my bands so I can easily play through an entire set at once.

Love it!
