Such an ad makes me question their entire ethics and their claim of non-bias. Convenient how all the far left publications are high factuality while actual center or right news is low or mixed factuality. Wish I hadn’t wasted $40. ### 3/5 — 2 year Subscriber *2026-08-10* 2 years in and I generally like the app. PRO-The Left to Right leaning publications are easy to navigate, allowing for varying points of view when viewing multiple articles on subjects of interest. It is also easy to see what articles are being underreported based on a political point of view CON-The factuality assessments for publications appears to be fixed in time based on the app creators original assessment. Additionally, the majority of left leaning publications are rewarded with high factuality and right leaning publications are mixed to low. Additionally, I have noticed on several occasions that the app headlines can be more critical of the topic and not align with any of the supporting headlines for articles listed. There are no means of subscriber feedback to address these types of concerns. Conclusion: the app is a good source of news topics and does allow the user to read varying points of view easily. I feel that the factuality assessments by the staff should be more fluid, and hold publications accountable for past articles that have been proven to lack some factuality. The fixed rating, as it has been, rewards or punishes publications based on the boards feeling at the time, and not overall body of work **Developer response:** Thank you for such a thorough and balanced review after two years. There is a high tendency to list left leaning sources as having mixed or low factuality. When challenged by this observation, GN absolves themselves by simply saying ‘hey, we just report what ad fontes and media bias fact check tell us. I have pointed out several times that the left leaning sources such as cnn, NYT, WAPO NPR, and others will often place subtle statements of opinion in their titles or choose what to report while conveniently leaving out important facts that would change the truth of story if it were presented. Example - AP is listed as highly factual yet it has pieces like the one about Israeli department of justice indicting Jewish settlers for violence … a true statement… but then adds in the title that the indictment is a rare occurrence. This is not simply a matter of bias. It is an opinion to rate whether something occurs rarely without providing more facts to justify that statement. What do they mean by rare? What is the definition of? 1 in a 100 cases, 1 in a 1000 or one in 10. Moreover what one person considers rare is often based on opinion. So the title may sem factually correct, but it loses its factual relevance once the title adds an editorial element. This is not merely bias, rather it is factually debatable. These same sources refused to cover stories like Hunter Biden Laptop when it first came out. Or the many leaks about Biden’s mental and cognitive decline. By not covering these and other stories they not only demonstrated bias, but also an inability to be truthful and transparent …Aka… dedicated to telling the facts about important events. Calling a news agency that hides critical facts or buries them deep in the article is anything but a highly factual organization. To say otherwise is simple argument through semantics.
