## What is GroundingWire?

GroundingWire is a single-purpose tool built for one moment — when anxiety spikes and you need to come back to your body, fast.

Open the app. Tap once. That's it.

A single breathing ring expands and contracts to guide you through box breathing — a clinically recognized technique used by Navy SEALs, therapists, and first responders to interrupt panic and restore calm.

4 seconds inhale. 4 seconds hold. 4 seconds exhale. 4 seconds hold.

Deep haptic feedback pulses through your phone in sync with each breath, giving your nervous system something physical to follow when your mind can't focus on anything else.

No menus. No onboarding. No accounts. No internet connection required. One tap starts it. One tap ends it.

Works in airplane mode. Works at 3am. Works when nothing else does.

Disclaimer: Grounding Wire is a wellness tool intended for relaxation purposes only. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional before making any medical decisions. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-06-19

Renamed breathing patterns to plain English — Basic, Deep Calm, Quick Reset, Slow Down
Added a one-line description under each pattern so you know what it does before you pick it
Changed phase labels from "Inhale / Exhale / Hold" to "Breathe In / Breathe Out / Hold Still"
New pattern select screen opens with "You're okay." instead of a clinical header
First-time users see a quiet "Follow the circle." prompt that fades after the first breath

### 1.0 — 2026-06-10

No release notes.
