Recently, I have been getting a lot of emails to say that I have photos in my account and that I should pay to reactivate my account to see them. I reached out to customer care to confirm. They said I had 570 photos. Then they sent me emails everyday to confirm that I am paying to activate my account. I paid. My account was empty. Now I have sent a message to customer care to assist but suddenly, there’s no reply. Photobucket has a two day cancellation policy. I’m guessing they are waiting for the two days to pass so I cannot cancel for a refund. And then they might contact me. It’s quite unfortunate that they are working this way. Waste of time ### 1/5 — Don’t Email Me to “Revisit My Memories” If I Can’t Access Them *2026-07-01* I created my account over a decade ago when Photobucket offered free photo storage. After receiving repeated emails encouraging me to log in and revisit my old memories, I downloaded the app only to discover that I cannot access my own photos unless I pay for a subscription. Locking users out of their personal files after storing them for years feels extremely misleading and unethical. If you are going to advertise that you’ve been “keeping our photos safe,” at the very least, users should be able to access and download their own content without being forced into a paid plan.
