## What is Grow Credit?

With over 700,000 downloads, Grow Credit, featured on the 2022 Forbes Fintech 50 and recognized as one of America's most innovative companies, helps consumers build credit for free using their subscriptions, with no prior credit history required.

As featured in the App Store “Hot This Week” section.

Your credit score is different on Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. Having a strong score on all three matters as mortgage lenders, car dealers, and credit card companies often review more than one to determine a consumer's creditworthiness. Grow helps you boost your credit score quickly on all three.

Grow your credit with your subscriptions in three easy steps:

- Apply for your Grow MasterCard.
- Link your bank account.
- Add your subscriptions: Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Spotify, HBO Max, or over 100 others.

Your subscriptions will be billed to your Grow MasterCard, and we’ll automatically debit your bank account every month and report your progress to all three credit bureaus.

A better credit score means lower interest rates on future loans, which could save you tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Applying for Grow will not result in a hard credit pull and will not affect your credit score.

We recommend using Grow alongside Rocket Money and Credit Karma.

The press raves about Grow:

Techcrunch.com: Grow "is a pretty elegant way to solve a problem that’s a real barrier to entry for a large number of financial services. Credit scores can impact mortgages, the ability to receive small business loans, and a host of other services that are ways to boost economic opportunity."

Creditcards.com: Grow is "a very useful tool for climbing the ladder and eventually qualifying for a better card."

Nerdwallet.com: "The Grow Credit Mastercard is ideal for those with no credit or poor credit."

### 1/5 — Horrible Company

*2026-07-24, version 9.0.5*

Terrible app and company. Website and App haven’t let you login months, haven’t had a successful charge to the account in a year, except for their stupid fee. Get threatening emails about reporting me for not paying but it literally errors out when I’ve tried to login since at least March. Do not use this app. It is terrible. Glad they are closing.

### 1/5 — Total waste and frustration

*2026-07-17, version 9.0.5*

The company does not care at all. They keep on saying their system issues and it’s down. I got worried and frustrations that it’s gonna report late payments while I’m trying to fix my credit and all these responses are total lies. It’s been going on for a long time, they do not really care. Nobody knows what’s going on at the company and I think it’s time I cancel.

### 1/5 — Do not use!!!!

*2026-07-14, version 9.0.5*

Crooks!! My card only worked for 1 month they took my deposit of $150 and did not get it back. I keep getting the run around for over 3 months!!!

### 1/5 — Do not use!!!!’

*2026-07-07, version 9.0.5*

Beware of this app it has so many bugs and problems It won’t let me upload my debit or link my new bank account to pay off the balance and close this dang account 🙄🙄🙄🙄so frustrating and you can’t get ahold of customer support only threw email

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2026-05-28, version 9.0.3*

I have had Grow Credit for several years now. I even stayed with them when they shut down completely and then reopened after they shifted their lender. Now they are doing a “short-term” “company wide system integration upgrades” but that means all cards have been locked, no one can pay their subscriptions, and the current accounts are basically useless. I have not personally been able to pay any of my bills since March. There is no timeline available for customers for when this “short-term” situation will end. When you are budgeting, as most (all?) Americans are doing right now, this creates a huge problem for the plans you have in place and when bills will be paid, from which pay periods. I appreciate being able to bundle all my smaller bills and know when that will come out of my account, and the tiny boosts o my credit the account provides. However, this is completely unacceptable and ridiculous for customers to have to deal with in this economy. Fix it and get things working again.

### 1/5 — DONT DO IT!!!

*2026-05-15, version 9.0.3*

Used to be a really good app and service. Then they switched and started “updating” and it was a complete waste, over a month of “updates” and “ it will be back soon” always canned always the same agent, always “I am a live agent”. Don’t waste your time!

### 1/5 — Small Credit Gains, Big Headaches

*2026-05-14, version 9.0.3*

I’ve been using Grow Credit for a few years, so I can give an honest review based on my experience. If you’re planning to use it for larger recurring bills like phone payments, I’d be cautious. In my experience, the payment processing can be inconsistent through certain bill payment portals.

For example, a payment might go through one month, but then the same company may not accept it for the next few months. I’m not sure why, but it can be frustrating and unreliable.

Another issue I’ve noticed is that Grow Credit doesn’t allow you to make another payment within 30 days of your previous one. So if you paid late one month and want to get back on schedule the next month, you may not be able to. That can make it difficult to stay current and may lead to a cycle of late payments unless you skip using the service for a month to reset the timing.

Overall, it feels like the app and service could use improvements on the backend to make the experience smoother and more user-friendly. Oh did I mention you’re not able to change your address within the app?
Yeah…smh

Also, after using Grow Credit for years, I personally didn’t see a major impact on my credit score — only a small increase. For me, the hassle outweighed the benefit.

### 1/5 — Grow Credit was once great but has now been ran down

*2026-05-10, version 9.0.3*

Had them for a few months and everything was great until they were bought out. The new “system” they use had me locked out for weeks and o was constantly tossed AI like word salad on when it would be fixed.

Finally got it working and the subscription payments have been hit or miss. Imagine thinking payments are being made only to receive emails that your card has been declined. Then you reach out to customer support and get the same canned response. And then being told we would suggest using other options until the issue is fixed. What they don’t stop is the monthly fee coming out every month even when you can’t use the service you’re paying for

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2026-05-02, version 9.0.3*

Application doesn’t work

### 3/5 — Was Great Service

*2026-04-29, version 9.0.3*

Grow credit was a great asset. My only complaint is that after relaunching their app, within a few months they stopped processing payments claiming system integration updates that have taken over a month so far. When the system actually works like it is supposed to it is an awesome program. They
are also extremely slow in adding more streaming services to their platform. They also advertise the monthly fee is up to $9.99 depending on your account level but they actually charge $12.99 a month. Lastly their highest level has a spending limit of $150.00 monthly which is extremely low considering the increasing cost Streaming services.
