### 3/5 — Was Great Service

*2026-04-29, version 9.0.3*

Grow credit was a great asset. My only complaint is that after relaunching their app, within a few months they stopped processing payments claiming system integration updates that have taken over a month so far. When the system actually works like it is supposed to it is an awesome program. They
are also extremely slow in adding more streaming services to their platform. They also advertise the monthly fee is up to $9.99 depending on your account level but they actually charge $12.99 a month. Lastly their highest level has a spending limit of $150.00 monthly which is extremely low considering the increasing cost Streaming services.

### 1/5 — Exspensive

*2026-02-28, version 9.0.3*

Basically the service that this app sells; is called secured credit line.

Which you can obtain from a credit union without a monthly charge of $7-$23+ a month!

Join a credit union rather than a bank,
And ask them about getting a secured credit card.

Then you pay your monthly bills like your phone bill or whatever, and you make at least a minimum payment to that secured credit card every month to avoid getting any interest rate so your building credit and Not having to pay a monthly fee for a very small line of credit (this app only offers $17 to like a max of $50)

### 1/5 — Don’t use it

*2026-01-25, version 9.0.3*

This is the worst app anyone could use for help with their credit. It's pathetic. Due to an app error, the automatic payment didn't go through, and they reported me for five months of late payments. Despite paying off the entire outstanding balance and requesting in good faith that they remove the late payment from my record, three years later, it's still the only negative mark on my credit history. It's disgusting.

### 1/5 — Was good until the update

*2025-12-05, version 9.0.3*

It was great to use until the update. Now when I try to log in it takes me to a website and constantly states now processing. It’s been like that for a while so it’s safe to say there isn’t a fix.

### 1/5 — Horrible Company

*2025-11-04, version 9.0.2*

They block transactions, don’t respond to customer service requests and chats for over 9 weeks about payment issues (on their side) but will gladly report you as late to the credit bureaus, then you’re back in the customer service he’ll cycle trying to get a resolution.

### 4/5 — Inaccurate reporting to credit

*2025-10-23, version 9.0.2*

I’ve paid my account in full but grow credit reported inaccurately causing my credit score to go down. I’m disputing the report since I have proof of the payment. The customer service team is not helpful at all. I have been contacting them for a month regarding this issue and they haven’t done much about it other than saying that they’ll update it when the payment processes. I know they have already received the payment because I’ve mailed it out (priority delivery) with tracking and they haven’t done much received it. Also I’m pretty sure it doesn’t take a whole month for payments to process. Grow credit is a scam that damages your credit score instead of helping it.

### 1/5 — Used to be a great app

*2025-09-23, version 9.0.0*

This app used to be great. It helped boost my credit when I was trying to rebuild it and was a convenient way to pay for your subscriptions; I used it to pay for my YouTube Premium.

Recently my account was closed without warning (apparently some sponsorship thing in their end), but since then the app is a shadow of what it used to be.

### 1/5 — Great till it wasn’t

*2025-09-04, version 8.2.0*

I’ve used Grow Credit for the past 1 yr and 1/2 and it’s been nothing short of amazing. It did everything it said it would and then some! But recently it has been a nightmare they shut down their app and services with no real notice then come back and you can login or access your account to reconnect subscriptions. Tried several times to get in contact with customer support only for them to never respond or not answer my questions. They shut down peoples accounts knowing fully well that it affects their credit. NO ONE should support them with how bad that have gotten.

### 1/5 — Abysmal Takeover

*2025-08-08, version 8.0.0*

Sadly these guys went through a transition and put all their customers in jeopardy with a buggy product launch. Logging in forces you to update your subscription and asks for payment, then continues to stall out and now I have an app that doesn’t launch properly. The website on desktop is also useless and customer support is mentally absent with the rise of AI. I do NOT recommend Grow after this recent acquisition.

### 1/5 — Disappointing Experience with a “Credit-Building” App

*2025-07-29, version 7.3.4*

I used Grow Credit for over two years with the goal of building my credit responsibly. I had one late payment — due to a compromised bank account — and unfortunately, it’s now the only negative mark on my credit report. Despite my consistent payment history and loyalty to the service, they refused to remove it, citing a technicality that I didn’t submit a forgiveness request within 6 months before the account closed.

It’s incredibly disappointing that a service meant to grow your credit is the one doing the most harm. There was no flexibility or consideration given for my specific situation, even though the issue was clearly outside of my control. This feels like a contradiction to the company’s mission and customer support model.

If you’re using this app hoping it will help you build credit safely — be extremely careful. One glitch, one late payment, or one unexpected financial hiccup can set you back, and they won’t work with you to fix it.

### 2/5 — Not great since the new takeover

*2025-07-29, version 7.3.4*

Have been having issues logging into the app since the new takeover and yes, I have updated to the latest version. Unfortunately, it looks like I will be canceling my subscription and moving to an alternative.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time

*2025-07-27, version 7.3.3*

App just collecting emails!!!

### 1/5 — Updates make the app unusable

*2025-07-26, version 7.3.3*

After updating the 2 updates it won’t let me access my account. Keeps crashing and sends me to website and still doesn’t work

### 1/5 — App not working

*2025-07-21, version 7.3.3*

For the past two weeks been trying to log in on app and it pops up on safari to relogin. I tried logging in on the website as well and it tries to open whatever subscription youve chosen but doesnt do anything after. Ive tried on several different devices all with the same problems.

### 1/5 — Used to be good

*2025-07-16, version 7.3.3*

I first signed up for grow credit about a year ago and it worked really well. I could manage my subscriptions and keep a mental note of them. I just recently tried signing in again and every time I sign in I’m kicked off the app and taken to the website. After I confirm my subscriptions it leaves a 505 error. I can’t manage my subscriptions and need to cancel one and reconnect the other. This is quite frustrating and I really hope this problem is fixed.

### 1/5 — App don’t even work now

*2025-07-16, version 7.3.3*

Lost an extra perk of a subscription all because you couldn’t do your part and let me know you stopped paying my bill after all consecutive payments on time. No reach out or nothing.

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2025-07-15, version 7.3.3*

I’ve been a member of Grow Credit since 2019. They used to be great and convenient but since they recently updated their app and switched companies and I can’t even access my account anymore. It redirects me to the website where I’m told my application is processing and it stays that way indefinitely. Contacted customer support multiple times and have been told this issue has been escalated yet no one follows up to provide any updates or even explain what’s going on. 3 weeks later and still no resolution with no end in sight.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Horrible Company

*2026-07-24, version 9.0.5*

Terrible app and company. Website and App haven’t let you login months, haven’t had a successful charge to the account in a year, except for their stupid fee. Get threatening emails about reporting me for not paying but it literally errors out when I’ve tried to login since at least March. Do not use this app. It is terrible. Glad they are closing.

### 1/5 — Total waste and frustration

*2026-07-17, version 9.0.5*

The company does not care at all. They keep on saying their system issues and it’s down. I got worried and frustrations that it’s gonna report late payments while I’m trying to fix my credit and all these responses are total lies. It’s been going on for a long time, they do not really care. Nobody knows what’s going on at the company and I think it’s time I cancel.

### 1/5 — Do not use!!!!

*2026-07-14, version 9.0.5*

Crooks!! My card only worked for 1 month they took my deposit of $150 and did not get it back. I keep getting the run around for over 3 months!!!

### 1/5 — Do not use!!!!’

*2026-07-07, version 9.0.5*

Beware of this app it has so many bugs and problems It won’t let me upload my debit or link my new bank account to pay off the balance and close this dang account 🙄🙄🙄🙄so frustrating and you can’t get ahold of customer support only threw email

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2026-05-28, version 9.0.3*

I have had Grow Credit for several years now. I even stayed with them when they shut down completely and then reopened after they shifted their lender. Now they are doing a “short-term” “company wide system integration upgrades” but that means all cards have been locked, no one can pay their subscriptions, and the current accounts are basically useless. I have not personally been able to pay any of my bills since March. There is no timeline available for customers for when this “short-term” situation will end. When you are budgeting, as most (all?) Americans are doing right now, this creates a huge problem for the plans you have in place and when bills will be paid, from which pay periods. I appreciate being able to bundle all my smaller bills and know when that will come out of my account, and the tiny boosts o my credit the account provides. However, this is completely unacceptable and ridiculous for customers to have to deal with in this economy. Fix it and get things working again.

### 1/5 — DONT DO IT!!!

*2026-05-15, version 9.0.3*

Used to be a really good app and service. Then they switched and started “updating” and it was a complete waste, over a month of “updates” and “ it will be back soon” always canned always the same agent, always “I am a live agent”. Don’t waste your time!

### 1/5 — Small Credit Gains, Big Headaches

*2026-05-14, version 9.0.3*

I’ve been using Grow Credit for a few years, so I can give an honest review based on my experience. If you’re planning to use it for larger recurring bills like phone payments, I’d be cautious. In my experience, the payment processing can be inconsistent through certain bill payment portals.

For example, a payment might go through one month, but then the same company may not accept it for the next few months. I’m not sure why, but it can be frustrating and unreliable.

Another issue I’ve noticed is that Grow Credit doesn’t allow you to make another payment within 30 days of your previous one. So if you paid late one month and want to get back on schedule the next month, you may not be able to. That can make it difficult to stay current and may lead to a cycle of late payments unless you skip using the service for a month to reset the timing.

Overall, it feels like the app and service could use improvements on the backend to make the experience smoother and more user-friendly. Oh did I mention you’re not able to change your address within the app?
Yeah…smh

Also, after using Grow Credit for years, I personally didn’t see a major impact on my credit score — only a small increase. For me, the hassle outweighed the benefit.

### 1/5 — Grow Credit was once great but has now been ran down

*2026-05-10, version 9.0.3*

Had them for a few months and everything was great until they were bought out. The new “system” they use had me locked out for weeks and o was constantly tossed AI like word salad on when it would be fixed.

Finally got it working and the subscription payments have been hit or miss. Imagine thinking payments are being made only to receive emails that your card has been declined. Then you reach out to customer support and get the same canned response. And then being told we would suggest using other options until the issue is fixed. What they don’t stop is the monthly fee coming out every month even when you can’t use the service you’re paying for

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2026-05-02, version 9.0.3*

Application doesn’t work

### 1/5 — DO NOT USE!! Unreliable Service & Privacy Concern

*2026-04-22, version 9.0.3*

I was a loyal customer and loved this app when it initially came out but mid 2025, it was bought out by another company and there is when issues began. After a good several months, I am finally forced to just cancel. They have breached privacy issues where they will check your linked bank account without your consent and let you know if you have insufficient funds. When I addressed this issue, they proceeded to tell me that there would be a 45 day investigation put forth and then surprisingly the next few days, they failed to pay my subscriptions, noting a “system is down”. PLEASE be warned! They are not reliable service.

After inquiring them another time about this, they only said “We understand this must be confusing and frustrating, we are really sorry about that. These are system integration updates, so we are not able to predict the time frame, as soon as is restored we will notify you. We sincerely apologize about the inconvenient this situation might be.”

So be warned, they have caused nothing but stress over these issues, when their service should help make things easier for its customers. NOT worth it at all.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great Service

*2026-04-13, version 9.0.3*

Grow credit is a great asset. My only complaint is that they are extremely slow in adding more streaming services to their platform.

### 5/5 — Trash

*2025-09-06, version 8.2.0*

As with all the order most recent reviews, this “card” has become trash since around March. Can’t access anything anymore, goes straight to the web, processes for a while and nothing..contact support. About what? A waste of time email message? This went from 5 stars to what should be ZERO STARS rapidly. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Update 09/06/2025: App is back to functioning as designed. It was just some patience as they transitioned. Back to what it used to be and better when it comes to subscriptions.

### 5/5 — Doesn’t work after update

*2025-07-21, version 7.3.3*

+71 points

### 5/5 — Simple, Smart, and Effective Credit Builder!

*2025-05-07, version 7.2.1*

Grow Credit is hands down one of the best apps out there for building credit without the stress of high interest or complicated terms. I love that it links to services I already use—like Netflix and Hulu—and reports those payments to help boost my credit score. It’s a smart way to build credit just by staying consistent with monthly subscriptions.

The interface is clean and easy to navigate, and the whole process is transparent. I’ve already seen a jump in my credit score within a few months of using it. Highly recommended for anyone new to credit or working to rebuild!
