I wanted an app to help me track it all, and unfortunately, this one fell short. I didn’t see a really good place to journal, as soon as I harvested a veg, I couldn’t find it in my history. And those are just a couple of examples of why it didn’t quite work for me. ### 3/5 — Too basic *2026-08-03, version 1.36* Does not allow for different varieties of plants very much, reminds me to water everyday whether it should be or not, does not show me what date I planted my vegetables and shows limited information about growing. It has been helpful for me to plan my beds and keep basic logs and has limited information for harvest time. One feature I would love to see is the ability to view updated photos from other gardeners within my region or growing zone. Seeing how others’ gardens are progressing would create a stronger sense of community while allowing us to learn from one another and stay motivated throughout the growing season. The watering reminders also need improvement. They don’t always align with the weather forecast. In the past, the reminders seemed to account for expected rainfall, but recently I’ve received notifications to water even when significant rain was forecasted or had already occurred. Making the reminders more weather-aware would greatly improve their accuracy and usefulness. Overall, the app has a lot of potential, and with these improvements, it would provide an even better experience for gardeners. ### 4/5 — Grundsätzlich hilfreich *2026-06-24* Schon hilfreich zu sehen welche Pflanzen gedüngt und gegossen werden müssen. Beim update kann man leider nicht das Wachstum verfolgen, Bilder der Pflanzen zu machen ergibt keinen Sinn. Auch zeigt er die Pflanzen vom Vorjahr an, diese aus der Erinnerung zu nehmen ist nur über Ernten möglich. I withheld one star because the weather is not as accurate as it should be to help with watering, certain varieties of plants are missing or all lumped together, and timelines for vegetation stages seem to be inconsistent between the same veggies when added in twice. There are so many incorrect identifications and the garden planner aspect only allows you to pick from like 5 veggies. It literally can’t identify any varieties, it never knows when it’s actually rained well enough and constantly tells me I need to water. The final straw was the fact we got 4 inches of rain last night and the app is harassing me to water my plants and saying rainfall was light. No, the city is flooding…. If anything they are water logged. It also doesn’t actually identify any disease or problems, just gives you a list and nonorganic ways to help it. ### 1/5 — Unhappy with results and cost *2026-06-10, version 1.36* I saw many good things about the grow it app before subscribing unfortunately, I feel I’ve made a mistake. If I could figure out how to get refunded I would and unsubscribe. The garden plants I’ve taken pictures of for help in caring for my plants were all detected incorrectly and if I asked for a plant to be diagnosed it shared info on the wrong plant or give details that didn’t fit the description of the plant I took a picture of. Ex: My Avacado tree (seedling) with no leaves and still only a seed. After taking the pictures I was told it was dried up with dried leaves but my seed hasn’t grown any leaves for leaves to even be detected. The seeding is sitting in wet soil clearly seen in the image and the seed is green.
