## What is Gruvwork?

Gruvwork is the booking + business app for independent service pros — dog walkers, boat charter captains, tutors, music teachers, home-service techs, and anyone running their own bookings out of a phone.

WHAT GRUVWORK DOES

• Take bookings from a public booking page. Your clients pick a service, see real availability, and pay in the app — or pay you directly, if that's how your business already runs.

• Choose how you collect payment. Take payments through Gruvwork (Stripe handles the charge, payouts land in your bank in 2-3 days) or handle payment yourself — invoice, cash, however you already work — and let Gruvwork run the bookings, calendar, and records. Both are first-class; switch anytime in Settings.

• Manage every booking from one Today screen. See what's next, mark walks complete, track unpaid balances, send a one-tap "I'm running 10 minutes late" message.

• Write a post-service report your client actually wants. Photos, notes, GPS-tracked walk distance, the works — your client gets it the moment you tap Send.

• Build your services your way. A draft is saveable with a name alone; publish when the photo and price are ready. Photos, add-ons, weekly hours, blocked dates — all in one editor.

• Customize per-vertical: dog-walking gets pet intake (breed, vet, behavior notes); boat charter gets per-trip capacity caps and departure details; the data model adapts to your business.

• Watch app: glance at your next walk on the run.

WHO IT'S FOR

Solo pros and small operators who want to spend zero hours per week on admin. If you have 5+ active clients and you still text bookings, Gruvwork pays for itself in a month.

PRICING

Operator subscription is $4.99/month or $49.99/year (choose at signup). 3% transaction fee on bookings paid through Gruvwork — billed via Stripe, no surprise; bookings you collect directly carry no transaction fee. Subscription managed via Apple ID; cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

PRIVACY

We collect what we need to run your bookings and nothing else. No ad tracking. No third-party analytics. Your client list belongs to you — export anytime, delete the account and we hard-delete the data within 30 days. Full policy at gruvwork.com/privacy.

Gruvwork now fits any service business:

- Open signup — create your business right from the sign-in screen, no invitation needed
- Custom vertical — tell us what you are ("DJ", "personal chef", "skateboarding coach") and the whole app speaks your language: your bookings become gigs, dinners, lessons
- Pick a mark for your page from a new icon library, or upload your own
- Dark mode polish across booking screens

### 1.3.0 — 2026-09-10

A rebuilt Bookings experience for operators:

- New bookings home with Today, Upcoming, and Past views plus search
- Booking detail with a full history timeline, private notes, and quick actions
- Message your customers from a booking — they reply from their booking page, no app needed
- Cancel with a reason, reschedule, mark no-shows, and refund in full or in part
- Approval mode for services that need a yes before they're booked
- Reminder timing you control, and a new notifications tray
- Customers can leave a review after their visit; reply or flag it in the app

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-07

Payment, your way

• Choose how you collect payment: through Gruvwork (Stripe) or directly from your clients — invoice, cash, however you already work. Both are first-class; switch anytime in Settings.
• A rebuilt six-step setup: about ten minutes, and your progress saves as you go — finish later, pick up exactly where you left off.
• A new service editor: save a draft with just a name, add up to 12 photos and up to 5 add-ons, and publish when it's ready. Clear status for every service — draft, published, or paused.
• Weekly hours and blocked dates in one place.

Plus the usual round of fixes and polish.

### 1.1.3 — 2026-08-18

The walk, redesigned

For pet services operators, the walk session is rebuilt around one idea:
every tap during the walk writes a line of the report. Record a bathroom
break, water, a note, or an incident with one large button; the report
composer opens already written, and you review and send instead of typing
on a doorstep. Ending early asks why, once, and tells the owner honestly.

Walks are tracked with GPS only. The app records the route, distance and
duration itself and saves them with the booking. HealthKit integration has
been removed.

Owners can see more, only if both sides choose it. Live location sharing
during a walk is off by default for the operator and for the customer, and
turns on only when both opt in. Either way, the full report still arrives
when the walk ends. Pet profiles hold each pet's details, and every pet
gets its own walk history.

The Apple Watch app is now a remote for the phone's walk session: record
events and end the walk from your wrist.

Terms of Service update

We simplified our pricing. The platform fee is now a flat 3 percent of each
transaction, and the 1.50 dollar per-transaction minimum is gone. Because
the terms changed, you will be asked to read and accept them once on your
next launch.

Per-unit pricing

Services can now charge per person, per pet, or per whatever unit fits your
work. Set a rate, name the unit, and add an optional minimum charge; your
booking list shows the breakdown.

Invitation requests

Gruvwork is invitation-only for operators while we grow carefully. The
sign-in screen says so plainly and takes invitation requests directly.

A cleaner setup flow

The onboarding wizard lost a retired payment field, reloads your real
profile on re-entry, and names your inviter on the subscription step.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-07-22

A polish update focused on making Gruvwork easier to find your footing in.

Sample-data mode is now visually distinct. When you tap "Try the demo" to explore Gruvwork without an account, a modal confirms you are entering sample-data mode, and an amber banner stays pinned at the top of every screen so you never mistake sample bookings for real ones.

Your setup wizard now shows which business you are configuring. Operators invited by email now see "Setting up: Your Business Name" at the top of the wizard so it is always clear which account is being set up.

A new welcome screen greets operators invited by email. If a captain or service provider was invited by name, tapping the invite link opens a "Welcome to Gruvwork" screen with the founder's note before the setup wizard begins.

Sign-in screen refinements. The sign-in screen now leads with a simple choice — "I run a business" or "I'm booking" — so you land on the right path with one tap. Magic-link sign-in with your email is the primary path under each, and a small "Have an invite?" prompt appears for operators who received an invite email. Your last choice is remembered.

Small visual polish across the app: color-system consolidation and a friendlier error message when a magic-link sign-in fails.

Thanks for using Gruvwork.
