It would be nice if the game would function well, or at the very least tell you how to play.

Apologies if you had a poor experience with the game. I have not had any reports of issues with gameplay functionality - if you're having any problems please make sure you have updated to version 1.12. The instructions are in the app description + the gameplay is displayed in the app preview trailers.
