Just picked up one of these things along with some used clubs and was excited for the app, but wow has it aged poorly. As the previous reviewer stated you can not access any useful screens. Only "first start", "how to use", and "golf tips." This app desperately needs an update. I followed ALL instructions but the device simply doesn't work. For what it's worth I have an iPhone 5. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t Run *2015-05-09* iOS 8 and iPhone 6 or iPad Air or iPad 2. The GSA Pro runs, but can’t get to the useful screens. I can only get to the opening screen that has buttons for “First Start”, “How to use”, and “Golf Tips”. The “NEXT” button doesn’t appear. Its not convinient to use on the range, data is complicated to access, the app kills the convinience of the device, so i dont recommend this swing analyser. There are plenty out there with WAY better software hence access to your swing data which is really what this is about. ### 4/5 — Informative and simple to use. *2014-06-20, version 2.18* Great bit of kit, gives good, mostly very accurate readings. Makes practicing a lot more fun and intuitive. Only negative is app only comes with too pro swings to compare to, one male, one female which is a shame. The software interface seems out of the 90's. Feels limited to its full capabilities. It would be nice to have a gauge of when your swing went wrong, and different colors showing speed. Restarted phone many times. Doesn't work at all. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — IT WORKS! *2017-01-02* I had just purchased the GSA Pro and recently got an iPhone 7. After reading these reviews I fully expected the Pro not to work with my new phone. However, that was not the case. After charging the little unit that slides into the grip and downloading this APP, I followed the instructions for Bluetooth connection and it found it immediately, no problem. I stuck sensor in my 7 iron, went out into my snowy yard and waited for constant blue light. Held club in that position for 2 seconds and swung. Blue light then blinked indicating data transfer to phone and sure enough, there it was. I did 2 more swings with no problem. Video and data of all swings there. I also signed up on 3 Bay Cloud and my data was synced to their site as well. I'm only 3 swings into this thing but it seems really cool and surely working as advertised. I don't know if swing speed and all is accurate but as other reviews state, the tempo and relative speed increase or decrease should help improve your swing, and it definitely showed if I had an inside or outside path. I gave it 5 stars to help overcome the single rating. It may not have worked in the past but 3 Bays seems to have addressed this. For example I don't carry a 4 wood and would like to not have to scroll through it to find my 3 wood. The Bluetooth gizmo is tiny but worked first time very well. Gave me info on speed, and power and swing plane variations. It is fun but used wisely over a while will chart swing improvements. At least you can discuss results with your PGA teacher with some accurate data. Putt is the other app but can't seem to discover whether another pricey gizmo is needed?!
