Very disappointed that the city will not allow a home to have more than 2 yard waste containers as there are huge amounts of leaves in my area in the fall. Using the brown bags works elderly people to “death”. Maybe you could say people over 70 could have a 3rd one. When reported no one knows anything about it. The app is really superior. I’m deleting this app, going back to the paper schedule, and setting an alert on my phone. It’ll work better. Notifications. Yes, I have it set correctly and get test alerts. The actual day alerts DO NOT WORK!!! After having to scramble to get my can out this morning, in 20 degree weather, I’m done. I’ll be setting an alarm on my phone. I know that works. ### 1/5 — After years of using this app I might delete it. *2024-12-20, version 2024.11.21* First off let me say that up until this last design change the GSO collects app was probably the most reliable app on my phone when it came to notifications. Now in the current version of the app, even though I have notifications on set for 12 hours in advance of the weekly garbage collection, it won’t notify me at all. Not to mention I can no longer set a truly custom reminder, because I used to have the notification set earlier in the day, so it’d at least be in my mind. If you care anything about the citizens of Greensboro using this app you need to at least make sure the basic functions of this app are working, instead of adding games and trivia. ### 1/5 — Junk and a Stupid Program *2024-12-17, version 2024.11.21* Recyclables and large items along with yard waste and regular trash should be weekly.
