## What is GST HSN Code?

GST is a single tax on the supply of goods and services, right from the manufacturer to the consumer. It is to streamline all the different types of indirect taxes and implement a “single taxation” system which aims to remove tax barriers between states and create a single market.

GST- Goods & Services Tax, levied both on Goods and Services. 

HSN- Harmonized System of Nomenclature, which is internationally accepted product coding system used to maintain uniformity in classification of goods under the GST regime.

SAC- Service Accounting Codes, which are adopted by the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) for identification of the services. 

Taxpayers whose turnover is above Rs. 1.5 crores but below Rs. 5 crores shall use 2 digit code and the taxpayers whose turnover is Rs. 5 crores and above shall use 4 digit code. 
Taxpayers whose turnover is below Rs. 1.5 crores are not required to mention HSN Code in their invoices.

There is no possibility of giving this app "Zero" star so I ended giving it one star.  Wrong rates  and out dated information can lead confusion and faulty operation. I'm surprised, how can this developer be so irresponsible at such an important issue like GST.  They shouldn't have launched this application of that were not willing or equipped enough to update it correct information regularly. Please don't download this app.
