I don’t understand this …… Why is the gt e token not working or is my card now blocked? Not everyone have got the time to go into the banking hall to reactivate this. I can’t even confidently login with the home of completion. Your apps are as useless as the bank itself ### 1/5 — Disappointing *2026-02-22, version 3.0.6* Would not activate with debit card details tells you to call gtconnect for authorisation code, and when you call and hold on the call for a whole century you end up being told they are sorry you should go to the bank!!!! ### 1/5 — Needs serious work *2025-11-10* I’m currently out of the country and need transactions doing, I can’t physically go to any branch and I’m trying to sign up for the etoken which is a hot mess by the way, I’ve put in the correct details but still says not recognised, your tech team is way below par and needs to catch up, now I can’t do any transactions and I’m left stranded. Imagine when you’re in a hurry or have an important call ongoing but have to end your call so to turn off and on in order to use. I’m now back home in the states and unable to receive OTP or tokens. This app helped me to receive OTP and tokens. Definitely worth the download! ### 5/5 — THE APP WORKED FINE *2023-02-03* I was having a problem logging into my account, so I had to reach out to the customer support; they went above and beyond to help me get started. Everything took less than 15 seconds and I’m up and running again! GTbank is the best!!!! ### 5/5 — Best experience *2023-01-24* At first I regretted using the soft token because of technical glitches, so I reached out to the gt developer via email. You open it and it launches, authenticate with FaceID and you are in. The new update is so much slower. Takes about 15-20 seconds to load. Please try speed it up as before with next update. You guys need to upgrade this version or revert to previous one. Have not be able to make use of this since upgrade to the current version. It’s so difficult to generate the token. Was very handy as I recently travelled overseas without the hard token and would have been a nightmare if it wasn’t working then. But alas it will appear the recent update has not been effective as the app now throws out errors and can’t get past the front page when attempting to login to the app. Hopefully the GTB tech gurus will look into this ASAP. Update: - Appears to be working but note that if your email address has an unusual domain like mine does eg not a yahoo or gmail or Hotmail then it struggles to recognise your details. (Shouldn’t matter but it seems like it does) Eventually used my account number and it works. ### 2/5 — Time consuming and frustrating *2023-07-26, version 1.2* Very useless app, I kept getting different error codes ### 2/5 — App won’t open *2023-07-06* I got a new phone and now the app won’t open for me. Being a diaspora customer it’s not easy for me to call to be setting these apps up-the customer service is good but these calls cost a lot and you have to be on hold for ages before getting through.
