False update note. ### 4/5 — A bit bright, but excellent lighting *2024-11-25* I have had good use of this lamp. My only comment is that I have the brightness setting at 1% since there are so many LEDs in the lamp. It is too bright for my small bedroom (12’ x 10’), but works well, ### 1/5 — Complete garbage *2024-02-25* If you are downloading this app for a new light, just stop. Put it back in the box and take it back to the store. The app makes a good light into junk. The lights won’t even work without an app setup to keep them from flashing. The app doesn’t connect to Alexa. There is no Alexa skill. The FAQ is worthless. The app seems like someone quit halfway through building it. Half the features don’t even work. After getting a new router, there’s no way to change the WiFi settings to make the light connect again, so it’s headed for the dumpster. ### 4/5 — A bit bright, but excellent lighting *2023-12-16* I have had good use of this lamp. I have seemingly tried everything.. Wish the company would reimburse us. ### 3/5 — Fix for find device but unable to connect *2023-06-26* Lights must be close to router to connect, which is near impossible since both in fixed location! Solution: 1) On different phone than ap is installed.. connect that other phone to a 2.4g network. 2) Then, open the hotspot on that second phone and note the connection password. 3) On the phone with the gt-lite app, add your device (+ button or manual selection. I used the ‘AP’ mode) 4) Enter the hotspot wifi connection id and password. That should solve issue.. as hotspot wifi and ap on phone both close to the fixture. ### 1/5 — Very hard to work with *2023-02-07* Pairing was simple enough but when we needed to download the bluetooth or whatever, it said we had the wrong wifi (because you need to have 2.6g instead of 5g) and we didint have that so we decided to delete the app but even after three days every time we turned on the lights they would keep flashing no matter what we tried. We had to return the lights and get new ones (the lights worked perfectly fine until we got the app). ### 1/5 — Junk *2022-05-13* Your light/app is dog crap. A lights primary function, work as light. Secondary function, bells and whistles. So why make this light rely on a functioning app to set it up? I don’t want to watch my light blink for 30 seconds every time I turn it on, just because you have a crap app that won’t connect to the light. And no, the reason it isn’t working isn’t a list of things you are going to say is wrong on my end. Own up to your shortfalls, make the corrections. ### 1/5 — Can’t connect *2022-04-20* Connection times out every time. Tried all the FAQs and suggestions. Even told me to submit a report but requires me to choose the device I’m having issues with, but I have no device paired from which to choose. Called support. No troubleshooting was actually done. Told me to exchange at the store (which obviously involves fully uninstalling, re installing, then same problem. Writing this after my THIRD device still won’t pair. ### 1/5 — Failed to load *2022-04-17* Please make this app ACTUALLY work for apple products! Light will connect to my husbands android, but gives an error on my iPhone EVERY time.
