## What is GT7 Tuning Calculator?

The complete car-tuning companion for Gran Turismo 7. Enter the handful of numbers you can read off any car — weight, power, drivetrain, tyres — and copy back a full settings sheet that drops straight into the game's Fully Customisable parts.

EVERY SETTING, NOT JUST SPRINGS
• Suspension: body height, natural frequency in Hz, anti-roll bars, compression and expansion damping
• Alignment: negative camber and toe angle, in the game's In/Out convention
• Differential: initial torque, acceleration and braking sensitivity per driven axle, plus the 4WD torque split
• Brakes: front/rear balance matched to your weight distribution
• Downforce: front and rear targets as a share of your car's slider range
• Transmission: a top-speed slider target, plus the final-drive trick explained
• Ballast weight and position for PP and BoP targets

Claims it matches the sliders in game and it doesn’t. Theres no independent rear body height adjustment The HP inputs have minimum and maximum input values so it doesn’t allow you to remove the placeholder to type actual values and then reverts the values to the maximum 2500. 

Untested and inconsistent really.

Happy to change this if effort is made to update it, otherwise it feels like AI slop.

Thank you for the feedback — this update rebuilds how tunes are calculated.

• Spring settings now come as a slider position, not a fixed Hz number. GT7 gives every car its own Natural Frequency range, and a different one front and rear, so a figure like "2.50 Hz" lands somewhere different on every car. The position is the number that actually transfers. Enter your car's limits under Natural frequency range and the app shows the Hz that position works out to.

• Your car now changes the tune. Weight and power reached almost nothing in the old suspension maths, so a light hatch and a heavy GT car could come out with identical springs, dampers and camber. They no longer do.

• Anti-roll bars, differential, camber, toe and damping have been rebuilt around the baselines experienced GT7 tuners use, starting from your drivetrain rather than from spring rate. Rear toe-in in particular was several times higher than it should have been, which scrubbed speed on every straight.

• New track type setting. Downforce now follows the circuit — Tsukuba and Le Mans want opposite wings — instead of being guessed from the build.

• The Weight and Power fields can be cleared and retyped. Deleting the value no longer snaps it back to the lowest number, and clearing a field then changing your mind restores what was there.

• Copy Tune and Save are no longer hidden behind the keyboard, and the Garage has a New Tune button so you can start a car from scratch instead of editing an existing one.

Your saved Garage tunes carry over.

Thank you for the feedback — this update fixes what you reported.

• The Weight and Power fields can be cleared and retyped. Deleting the value no longer snaps it back to the lowest number, so you can type your car's real figure straight in. Entering 614 HP used to be impossible: clearing the 40 brought it straight back, and typing around it jumped to 2500.

• The allowed range is applied when you finish, not while you type. A half-typed number is left alone until you tap Done or move to the next field.

• Changing your mind restores the old value. Clear a field and tap away, and it returns to the figure it had rather than keeping a half-deleted number.

The tune sheet still recalculates as you type.

• Now in all 38 languages. The app follows your iPhone's language automatically; version 1.0 shipped English-only by mistake.

• The Garage saves every setup. Each tune you save is kept as its own entry — before, saving replaced the previous one.

• Damper values match the game. Compression and expansion now stay inside GT7's real slider ranges, 20–40 and 30–50. Some setups, especially on Comfort tyres and dirt builds, used to show numbers the game would not accept.

• Better front-to-rear spring balance. Natural frequency now sets the rear slightly stiffer than the front for a flatter ride, matching how GT7 arranges its own front and rear ranges. Weight distribution now drives the anti-roll bars, where it belongs.

• The in-app guide has been updated to match.
