You continue to guide Maia on this treacherous journey where decisions aren't simply about life and death. The gods are watching Maia very closely, judging her behaviours, weighing her choices.  Maia's mana is at stake in many of the moves she will make. 


In the context of Guardian, 'Mana' represents Maia's personal and spiritual power, her will, her integrity, her inner strength. Episode Two continues the theme of three different endings and it all depends on what Maia's Mana Score is at the end of the game.


Accompanied by Ariana from Episode 1, Māia reaches Laketown, where she earns the trust of the local people.  Although they are suspicious of this newcomer, Maia earns their trust by helping them and in return they help her with her journey ahead beyond their borders.


This is a whole new world for Maia, it is a world she has never seen before, and she meets characters and creatures she never encountered. 
 
Will this new world be kind or cruel? Will her new encounters help or hinder? Will Maia find what she’s looking for?
