When i check on gov website. It was because FCA had blocked them and FCA mentioned not to make any payments to this company. And now after 3 months they just sold my credit file to a different company which i believe is their own company. There calling me again n again every day harassing me. They even lied to Transunion stating my account is open which is false as i have proof of my account is still blocked. I will dispute this with transunion. Their customer service only gives generic answers. Guavapay is a SCAM do not use their services as if you do they will just block you from using it anyways and then sell your file to a credit company and will harass you all the time. ### 1/5 — Stole my money *2025-12-12* There cards don’t work anymore,and all my refunds I still not received back!! ### 1/5 — Do Not Download — This App Is a Complete Trap *2025-11-30, version 2.5.2* This is the most untrustworthy fintech app I’ve ever used. MyGuava ONLY freezes your account when you receive money — never before. The moment funds land, they lock your account and hide behind a vague “review” excuse while keeping your money hostage. They froze $1400 of my rent money and gave me no timeline, no explanation, nothing. There is no Canadian phone number, no landline, no real support of any kind. Just emails that go nowhere. How a financial service is allowed to operate in Canada without even a Canadian phone number is beyond me. To make it worse, Guavapay’s UK services were suspended by the FCA, which says everything you need to know about the stability of this company. There are dozens of reliable fintech apps in Canada — this is NOT one of them. Save yourself the stress. Awful ### 1/5 — Pretty Upset *2025-11-15, version 2.5.1* Over a few months now I love my guava for its multi-currency services and how convenient it is to add funds, even though when you add funds your card is unblocked the next day. But today really made me mad. My account was closed because of an automated system specifically; “we’ve decided to close your account because our automated systems detected transactions that goes against our policies” and when I asked for more details, nope, they didn’t want to review it and don’t care whatsoever. I've been locked at least 4 times saying they need security check. They now hold all funds into my account for review. Please be aware they will do everything to not pay you, and will say it’s all automated. Even after providing in depth documentation for all transactions it’s still hours and hours to process, if it all. I would steer clear of them if you need anything done quickly or if you receive more than 2-3 transfers a month as they are very good at making excuses to not pay you your money. I can’t even send $30 to my fiancé overseas. I can’t even transfer my fund to my own bank account. This app is a nightmare. They harassed you in every way. I even provided my fiancé ID and even previous transfer to her which I made with Remitly and they still hold the transfer and tell me that they still investigating. It’s ridiculous now they are holding my money won’t let me transfer out. Even after the investigate and clear mẹ. I still cannot get my funds out. ### 1/5 — Extreme fees *2025-08-23, version 2.2.2* Charging 9% of fees for doing interacts is a real scam, on top of that they will suspend your account after you do a transaction for “verification process” that will take hours to do to have access to your hard worked money… ### 1/5 — The worst ever mobile finance *2025-07-08, version 2.0.1* I have owned this app for almost 4 months, I started using the app in April to be precise, on 4th of May I noticed my card was suspended, on query I was made to know that there is a balance of 0.27£ which needs to be paid, I have a Credit limit of 3000£ but a balance of 0.27£ is the reason for the suspension of my card, this must be a joke I still have available amount to spend of a sum of £2999.73. Then I tried to make the payment, at a point I was told I need to make a payment that’s over 1£ ok no problem I will do as you advised I used all the method of payment available on the app all was abortive and not working, I spoke to the customer care representative, I called and sent an email up until today nothing is been done To my big surprise on the 5th of July I received this message “Hi Ola**** Your MyGuava credit card payment failed, and we've applied a 12.00 GBP late fee. Your credit card is currently suspended, but we'll lift the suspension once we receive your payment.” This comes to me like a shock then I spoke to there representative again all he could say was sorry but the delay fee cannot be waived as you will need to pay it. My submission is that this app is a fraud they will deduct unreasonable amount makes it difficult to pay into the card then charge you delay fee, you won’t be able to pay the delay fee and charge you another delay fee and it continued on and on. Initially, the account was frozen for over three months with no clear explanation. After checking the government website, I discovered that the company had been restricted by the FCA, which explicitly advised customers not to make any payments to them. Despite this, after those three months, they proceeded to sell my credit file to another company, which I strongly suspect is linked to them. Since then, I have been receiving repeated mails from them, which I consider harassment. They have also provided false information to TransUnion, claiming that my account is active, when in fact it remains blocked. I have clear evidence confirming this and will be formally disputing the matter with TransUnion. Attempts to resolve the issue directly have gone nowhere. Their customer service offers nothing beyond vague, generic responses and takes no responsibility for the situation. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid using Guavapay. Accounts are blocked without proper justification, access is restricted, and customer data is then passed on to third parties who continue to pursue customers aggressively. ### 1/5 — Rubbish. *2026-02-01, version 2.6.1* Does not work,trying to log in,saying code sent but nothing ever arrives.
