In 1981, when we were 12 years old, he taught me how to program in Basic and made me fall in love with the Apple world. He had written a program to guess the U.S. states from their shapes alone: that is how I learned the names of all 50 states. Together we then adapted the idea to the 20 Italian regions. Thank you, Al, for passing on to me the joy of programming: this app is also thanks to you.
