### 1/5 — Junk

*2024-04-10*

Don’t waste your money purchased the paid version and nothing worked.Deleted and reloaded and it went back to the free version.

### 1/5 — Purchased and don’t work

*2022-12-26*

I purchased the app and nothing changed ! I don’t have the options menu it shows on the App Store photos , it only lets me do one thing ! Says restore purchases and I have hit it and nothing ! Think the app is good just wish I could get it to work as designed ! It has me limited to almost nothing and hit the purchase button a couple times. And I got the confirmation message that is was purchased but it doesn’t seem to unlock it.

### 1/5 — So disappointing

*2018-10-02*

This app has potential but lacks the ability to reset and when reopening app does not start from open notes. When reopening app it commences from the last notes used at the time of closing, this may suit advanced users but it hinders the learning of beginners. Would be great if there was a reset and a save progress option.

### 1/5 — So much potential but falls short

*2017-04-30*

I found the app totally disappointing. The in app purchases destroys it. I have used this app on a Windows tablet and loved it. I would pay to have the full app but all the different versions all have 'in app purchases'. It is very clunky. I want a full version. I am happy to pay but this is sad.

### 1/5 — Reveiw

*2016-09-29, version 1.7.3*

Deleted after 1 minute, very poor

### 1/5 — Crap

*2013-10-05*

Seriously down waste your data and your space ... Thing is worthless

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2013-02-22*

Deleted 2 mins after downloading, no explanation of anything. Just need a simple note trainer, but this isnt it!

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2011-04-09*

I purchased the upgrade inside the app, and when I had to restore my iPhone, only the free one was on my phone. I suppose this means I have to jump through hoops, and contact a company that doesn't supply contact information. It should have installed properly. I am not about to pay twice, which is what it's asking me to do. And I get so tired of customer service hassles!

### 1/5 — Bet...

*2011-03-27*

I had that program... Bet bet bet... Don't try it... Does'n worth...

### 1/5 — Don't update

*2011-03-04*

Enjoyed paid app until I updated and it reverted back to Free App mode (locked fretboard). 

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2021-07-13*

I’ve been using this app for over 3 months and it’s been very helpful in memorizing the fretboard. But something I’ve been nothing in the last month my ears have been hearing the notes much better. I’ll continue using this app as my first choice.

### 5/5 — Great simple app

*2021-01-31*

To memorize the fretboard!

### 5/5 — Great tool

*2019-05-06*

In have been using this app for a while now, it has for me taught me the position of the notes relative to the Treble Clef. (The Treble Clef could be slightly larger) thanks for a great app.

### 5/5 — Very good

*2018-12-07, version 1.7.3*

Useful for a beginner

### 5/5 — Helpful

*2011-05-22*

So useful, easy to understand and beats reading a book and since you can hear it too you learn by ear as well.

### 5/5 — The best of all

*2011-03-20, version 1.0.8*

Just the One

### 4/5 — Fun

*2011-03-09*

Kind of cool

### 2/5 — Glitchy and annoying

*2022-07-15*

2 stars because this gives you a tone, shows the note on the scale(helpful) and has you find the fret. Problems are - it forces u to go through 133 rounds b4 it allows you to unlock additional frets. Thats not 133 guesses. Its 133 rounds. The other problem is its glitchy. It doesnt always register your answer. Sometimes theres s delay. Sometimes it skips. Either way it marks your guess wrong. Annoying.

### 2/5 — App is not free, it's just a demo.

*2021-03-20*

This app is only a demo.

### 2/5 — Good idea... but messy

*2012-05-24*

(The following also applies to the paid version)
-----------
Probabaly one of the best BASIC idea and BASIC setup of the guitar sight reading tools, but messy, and with problems.
GOOD:
- Shows whole fretboard, which is important to get a full understanding and feel.
- Can select by keys, individual notes, or complete specific strings (the last is very useful, and lots of apps miss it).
BAD:
- Interface is cluttered and unnatractive.
- When timed exercise option is turned off (which is selected by setting time to "on"?????) the time is still shown. Unnecesary and distracting, especially for younger kids where a "no pressure option" is helpful.
- When notation-to-fretboard is selected, most of the screen is taken up with a huge "string and note" text listing, while the notation is at the bottom right. Defeats the purpose, and is cumbersome because eyes have to jump all over the screen. Notation is the point with this selection, and SHOULD be prominent.
- Custom exercise settings are not saved, must set up each time.
