## What is Guitar Mode Finder?

Enter a chord progression and know which scale to play over it — in seconds.

Guitar Mode Finder analyzes any chord progression and identifies the matching mode, complete with fretboard positions, CAGED shapes, and a fit score so you know how well the scale actually works.

Whether you're jamming, composing, or finally trying to understand why certain scales feel right over certain chords — this is the tool that connects theory to your fretboard.

HOW IT WORKS
Type in your chords (Am Dm G C, or Cmaj7 Am7 Dm7 G7 — even without spaces) and hit Analyze. Guitar Mode Finder identifies the mode, shows you a fit score, and maps out every CAGED position on the fretboard.

WHAT YOU GET
- Instant mode detection from any chord progression
- Fit meter showing how well the mode matches your chords
- Full fretboard diagrams for all 5 CAGED positions
- Multi-key detection for progressions that modulate
- Reference guide to all 7 diatonic modes with formulas and character descriptions
- CAGED system position map
- Works fully offline — no account, no ads, and no data ever leaves your device
- Clean, focused interface built for musicians — not music professors

WHO IT'S FOR
Intermediate to advanced guitarists who want to move beyond "just pentatonic" and start using modes intentionally. If you've ever watched a solo and wondered "how did they know to play that there?" — this app answers that.

GOOD TO KNOW
Guitar Mode Finder is built around the seven diatonic modes. It reads a wide range of chords — triads, sevenths, sus, add, 6/9, and power chords — but highly altered voicings (for example 7b9 or 7#9) fall outside the diatonic model and aren't supported yet.
