I can’t turn the camera on for the perform mode. I believe I denied access to it when it first popped up. How do I reset that permission ? I tried from settings but not available! Works great on my other iPad. Two things I’d like to see is an auto scrolling function and ability to export all songs/library via airdrop at once vs individual files! ### 3/5 — Good app, but in-app subscription options not good. *2024-09-07* This is a good app for someone like me who’d be happy to pay an upfront fixed amount for the app. I understand that the devs put effort into the app, it shows. But It’s not worth it for a monthly fee. ### 4/5 — Nearly there… *2023-12-13* This app is great overall and very nearly suits all of my meager needs. One feature I’d love to see implemented is a simple automated scrolling of the tab with a speed selector. Performance mode is pretty nifty, but isn’t quite a fit for me as I find it distracting for one, and haven’t the coordination to issue facial gestures while concentrating on playing, singing, and operating foot switches. I just need to be able to quickly glance at the tab while playing to find my place when I get lost. It would be great also if there was a pinned header that displayed things like the song name, tempo, key, and chord structures while the tab scrolls beneath. Ancillary is the scrolling but those other items would provide great additional value, IMO. ### 4/5 — Wow, this little app has come a long way! *2023-11-04* This app has really matured in the past couple years. Initially quite simple, it can now import tabs from the web, perform mode, cross device sync, and key transposition (though transposing still has a bug whereby only the verses and choruses reflect the key change, leaving the intro and other sections in the old key). Still, it’s quite adept and useful. Update 2/3/2025 Just down graded to 1 star! every song in the app now has at least 10 copies! Also once it’s closed it failed to open and it returns to the iPad screen! WTH happened! I deleted and reinstalled still not able to clear all the copies. As fast as I delete them, the come back! At the top of the new/edit song page where the return/back (<) is, it’s now followed by 2 quotation marks! <“” I believe this is the problem causing all the multiple copies of my songs. P.S. Don’t bother emailing help or report a bug…they don’t answer! ### 1/5 — App is not working from UltimateGuitar anymore. *2023-08-11* I love this app a lot but 5€ per month for an app that is not working anymore it’s really a pitty… there is no way to contact support. Please correct that asap. ### 1/5 — Flawed *2023-08-06* While I Iike the app, it has limitations that can only be unlocked by buying a premium version but you can't buy just this app - you have pay for a costly monthly subscription for 4 apps and I don't need all of them. Also, the developer's website doesn't work so you can't contact them. It gets even worse - I signed up for the subscription and the app doesn't recognize it - all the premium features are still inaccessible. No. I don’t like that. ### 1/5 — Crashed at a gig and no longer works *2022-10-13* This app (which I exclusively used to store chords and lyrics) crashed at the very beginning of a 3 hour set. Every time I opened it, it would immediately close. I tried restarting my iPad multiple times and just decided the next bet would be to re-download the app. As I started uploading songs again today, it crashed again and is completely unusable. I used to love this app, wish it still worked :/ **Developer response:** Yikes! Let's fix this—we are working to figure out what's going on here, but if you can send us an email at support@chordbank.com, we would love to learn more about what's going on and get your app working great again. ### 1/5 — BUYER BEWARE *2022-01-20* After purchasing the advanced version, the sync function does not work, and I believe this app is capturing your private login information. The developer website link is bogus, and so is the app support website. There is no way to contact the developer about an issue. One problem: the Sync feature isn’t working. I’m signed in to the same account on both devices (iPhone & iPad). I even did the Restore Purchase feature. Nothing. I’m current in the yearly trial. I’d be happy to pay every penny if the sync would work. Not sure I’ll keep it based on the broken sync. Any advice? EDIT: Ok. It finally synced and I am THRILLED! I guess it just needed a little time? Totally going to keep the yearly sub now. The apps are amazing. Thanks again! ### 5/5 — THE BEST APP FOR SONGWRITING *2024-09-29, version 3.6.6* Super easy to use and great tool to keep all my songs in place, plus keeping track of where the chords fall onto the lyrics. It’s so good I would love if you could have the following improvements that would make it PERFECT: 1- Organize the songs not just by artist but by “Albums” - currently all my songs are by ME so if we could group them by album too that’d be great. 2- I LOVE how in the Practice and Play view you can click on the chords and it plays for you. I just think you need to expand the chord options within your library and mainly fix that when too many chords are next to each other it only allows you to play the first one, the others are unplayable for some reason (I’m sure it’s in the code) 3- Same as Title and artist, there should be a coded feature to include the bpm of the song. The edit section is the key area where you input/ edit revise finesse your data - from there, switching between modes let’s you present and publish/export information the way you want to. It is continually evolving and suggestions made are listened to and adopted. Well worth the extra for all the features. Great for writing your individual take on other songs. Buy it - criticisms are 11 years old and have no bearing on the current app One of my most used apps - I get an idea and drop it in - excellent! All of a sudden some song tabs won’t open and if i try to open it. The app itself closes. I can’t access many songs I have tabbed, which really pisses me off! Revision: The update fixed the problems I was having and I’m grateful.
