## What is Guitar Tuner?

Tunify is the guitar tuner that gives you everything for free - every tuning, for every instrument, with accurate on-device pitch detection and a built-in metronome.

Most tuners lock alternate tunings behind a subscription or only support 6-string guitars. Tunify does not. Standard, drop, open, half and whole-step, 7- and 8-string, bass, ukulele, and fully custom tunings are all here, all free, with no account and no sign-up.

Tuning is smoother and lighter on your battery: note analysis moved off the main thread, so the needle glides instead of stuttering.

• Large text is honoured up to 2x — we used to cap it at 1.3x.
• Swipe-back works again in Settings (iPhone).
• Leaving a half-built custom tuning now asks first.
• The check mark draws itself as each string locks in.
• Ads are paced as one system: none in your first session.

Smoother tuning, better battery life, and a much more readable light mode.

• Lighter on your battery. The tuner no longer keeps the screen working at full speed when the needle is sitting still, and it does far less work per note while you play.
• Light mode is much easier to read. The note readout, the needle and the tuning colours were hard to make out against a light background. Every colour has been corrected for contrast while keeping Tunify's look.
• Reduce Motion now applies everywhere, including screen transitions.
• Clearer, more readable status messages.
• Clearer privacy choices for ads — and you can change your choice any time from Settings.
