If it’s in print you own what you purchased. Guitar techniques and Total Guitar apps were purchased and can no longer be accessed after publication ceased. Total scam.

Subscription is still active but the service wants to charge for the next issue. I canceled my auto renewal. Lots of options for other magazines without continually reloading and recovering. And now that no longer works.

The digital interface of guitar world ruined this once great magazine. I subscribed and nothing ever actually worked. Luckily it was a free trial and I could cancel. Made me create an account through some third party which would never actually recognize. No magazine issues would ever download. I signed up for literally nothing to happen but waste my time.

I no longer have a subscription but when I had a print subscription many of those issues were also included in my library. I opened the app after a long while and all of my back issues in My Library had been removed. 

Like most things today, buying something doesn’t mean it’s yours, and they can take it away at anytime, either from greed or incompetence.

Constantly have to reinstall this app. Almost weekly. Also subscribers never get any of the benefits of buying the magazine. No posters or cds. Which we were promised Guitar World would look into years ago….

I love Guitar World. I’ve been reading it since well before there was a digital version and I’ve subscribed to the digital version for several years now. However, the changes I’ve noticed lately have me considering canceling altogether. The company seems to think throwing in random pop-up ads whenever I come back to read are a good idea. You’ll see pop ups for “2 MONTHS FREE”* or “COMPLETE YOUR COLLECTION”. There were very few in the beginning, but they’re becoming more and more common. Why do companies always thing “more ads” are a good idea? Leave the ads in the pages of the magazine where they belong.
