Now, I find that they’ve rebuilt it into a web-based app, Chord.wiki! This is a massive change, with all kinds of functionality built in. I was able to import my Guitar Tapp faves into the new app, and it works seamlessly! Thanks a LOT, guys! So, if you get this app just know that if you want to share a song you will have to take a screen shot, then save it to your device and import it to your library. Chords.Wiki just not work; opens a default song and is incredibly slow and non-responsive. This app needs to be removed from the App Store, as it is now a scam. Edit: ChordsWiki does not operate in safari on the an iPad Pro M, as the website is marked as insecure. Chrome seems to respond; however, you get the regular 30s timeout warning. ### 1/5 — Lost all my music *2025-02-02, version 2.9.8* What alarm is searching a new music and all of my music is now lost. Fehlanzeige ... *2024-03-02* An und für sich eine sehr nützliche App mit ordentlicher Datenbasis, auf die zugegriffen wird – wenn auch mit ein paar Eigenheiten (oder Anachronismen) in der GUI. Deshalb hatte ich mir auch die teure Pro-Version mit lebenslanger undsoweiter gegönnt. Seit geraumer Zeit funktioniert das automatische Scrollen nicht mehr, was die App nahezu wertlos macht. iOS-Update, Deinstallation mit Neueinrichtung – nichts schafft Abhilfe. Leider laufen diesbezügliche Serviceanfragen oder Fehlermeldungen beim Entwickler (8:45 Tools) komplett ins Leere. Es antwortet zwar ein Automat brav, dass man sich gerne darum kümmern werde; was aber konkret passiert, ist: Nichts. Der Verkauf geht dennoch unverdrossen weiter. I’ve used this app for about 10 years, then a few months ago the “send to email function” stopped working. I read all the FAQs, no help so I emailed their support. I got an automated response saying they’d get back to me. Nothing from them in 4 months. I emailed them twice more and only get the automated response. It worked well until it didn’t; maybe 3 months ago it stopped sending my chosen songs to email for printing. I emailed support and got a form letter back saying they would contact me unless the answer to my question was on the FAQ portion of their web site. It wasn’t, but they never emailed me back. I have since discovered that the app has been considered “abandoned” by android phone users. So has it been? Guitar Tapp is still the finest song learning tool available on any platform. I have used it for years - back when a lot of songs weren't available. Now it finds almost everything I want. No, it's not a great live gigging app, but I don't think it was meant to be. It's a wonderful learning and teaching app. Guitar Tapp lets you find and save songs, edit them, clean them up via a feature called "convert to chord pro", look up chords if you don't know them, share, transpose (🙏), find other versions of the song (handy if the chords sound wrong), show the chords, find a video version of the song AND find a video tutorial of the song. You can email a song to yourself to use in your favourite gigging software like Forescore. It wasn't expensive - paying the devs is the least I could do for all of these handy features. I want to thank the developers for creating this. It has been a lifesaver. Besides having lyrics and chords for thousands of songs, the app allows you to create set lists, transpose songs to lower or higher keys, edit songs, and more. You can also adjust songs to gradually scroll as you play at any speed. Another feature is you can change the print to a larger, bolder font - much needed for older players.
