So, what is the point? ### 1/5 — Website content isn't here *2020-09-20, version 1.2* I own several of Steve's classes on guitar zoom (guitar theory masterclass, creative soloing, etc.). Before I go on to say why I was severely disappointed in the app, I must say that Steve Stine is the most incredible teacher! (Go to guitarzoom.com, you wont regret it). But anyway, I downloaded to app in the hopes to be able to access those classes via an app interface. No dice. I'm not sure what this content is, but it isn't what I was looking for :-( ### 1/5 — Glitchy and Worthless! *2020-07-19, version 1.2* Do not download this app! It is 1/2 beginner content and half advertisements. It is an extremely glitchy app; the ads work perfectly of course, but the educational content does not. Stine is an excellent musician and teacher but his continual and constant selling is off-putting. Because of this app and the barrage of emails trying to sell me more and more and more courses... I’m done with Steve! ### 1/5 — Great lessons, terribly broken app *2020-04-26, version 1.2* Steve is the best teacher and I've been using the lessons through my browser. I was excited to see the app available until I downloaded it. It honestly looks hastily thrown together. The site offers login via Google or Facebook, but the app doesn't. This blocks a considerable amount of paying customers from accessing their accounts. It seems like someone else mentioned this months and nobody has fixed it. I probably will delete this app and cannot recommend it. ### 1/5 — No audio and to much buffering! *2020-04-05, version 1.2* Just what I was afraid of, to long of a wait to watch then no audio! I joined guitarzoom on the website. Setup my account etc. Then I found out about the app. After installing the app, I used the info to login that I used on the website to create account and login. The app will not let me use the login info that I used on website to login. Evidently, the app uses the id on my devices, which doesn’t match what I used on website. I’m not sure where the problem lies, but hopefully these negative comments are making it back to Steve and the team. In my case, the iPad app just hangs on the opening splash screen, as it does with others, and simply sits there. And while Steve makes a fine instructor, passing as a fashion model for a screensaver or desktop image aren’t his strong suits (nor what I paid for). None of your standard courses. Which is why I would want the app… to get to my courses without going through a web browser. But now it won’t even open. I’ve spent a little under 4 months on this app and have learned things so quickly and have so much more to learn. Steve is a great guitar instructor and highly recommend anyone who wants to learn guitar to go to him. His teaching is very descriptive and have only had 1 question so far. Please do yourself a favor and get this app if you want to learn guitar and get seriously into it!!!!!!!! ### 5/5 — Excellent and informative program *2021-04-30, version 1.9* Excellent app, very clear and user friendly. I looked up this App today and downloaded it although I was skeptical based on the reviews (only 5 at this time). My experience is that everything that I have purchased was right there and they play beautifully on my IPhone 8. Whatever might have been wrong is apparently fixed and I will use my phone going forward. ### 5/5 — Great App. Works for me!! *2020-12-29, version 1.5* After the latest update the app doesn’t open beyond the splash screen. iOS 14, iPhone 12 Max Pro. To fix this I deleted the app and installed it again and it works great!!! Has all I need to follow Steve’s amazing courses. Definitely the best out there. Love the teaching style as well as the content!!! ### 5/5 — Disagree with low ratings *2020-06-25, version 1.2* Obviously we all have to start somewhere and just because someone is an expert in music doesn’t mean they will be in app management... The app is not hard to maneuver thru and offers a trial to new members so I advise all give a shot. Steve helped me in one day more than fender app has in weeks! He truly teaches clearly and concisely which is great since I have issues following the majority with my learning disabilities. TRY IT GUYS! As for issues with FB/App issues all I had to do was go to their fb groups and request to join which would ask for email associated with account for your FB VIP access. As response to the reviewer above... when someone is good at something as you admit I would hardly think an app preface should determine your rating to be one star. That’s like saying an entire vacation to a majestic island was crap because the flight that got you there sucked. ### 3/5 — When it works *2021-07-04, version 2.0* This app is great, when it works! There is days I want to quickly go back a get refreshed on a song that Steve teaches so well and easy to understand, but I sit and look at a spinning wheel of every single page trying to load! So sickening and it happens all the time! I usually give up after 20 minutes of trying! You have serious issues with the function of this app and too bad, cause Steve is a great teacher! ### 3/5 — An age old app!! Nothin but .....!! *2021-02-15, version 1.8* There’s been a ongoing problem with this app in thee 3+years I’ve been associated with Guitar Zoom and I find it to be very difficult to navigate and access the many online courses I’ve purchased throughout my time with Guitar Zoom. It really sends a bad message to me as a so called VIP member and all the hard earned money I’ve invested in becoming a more accomplished guitarist that we’re more interested in selling our product to the masses and not so much in the mentoring of our members. I’ve hung in there convinced that there working out the bugs but it just seems unlikely it’s ever going to happen. Steve is absolutely one of the best in the buisness at what he does but when it boils down to it your only as good as the product you sell and the process in which it is delivered by which the consumer will remember you and give the there recommendations by.
