### 4/5 — Super simple, no fluff

*2022-10-02*

Exactly what I’ve been looking for!

### 4/5 — Great, but could be improved

*2022-06-08, version 1.17.0*

For the most part, I love this app. Great way to help me remember to drink water. I just wish there were more options for how much I drank. And every time on my Lock Screen that I get a notification, there’s a typo which drives me nuts! It says “Time tro drink water” every time until I unlock my phone.

### 4/5 — Works well

*2022-03-23, version 1.17.0*

The app works well and does what it says on the tin. I’ve noticed a typo on the notification that reminds me to drink though.

### 4/5 — Good concept

*2021-07-08, version 1.17.0*

I like the app. I enjoy the simplicity of it. I especially like being able to add intake from Siri. However, I feel like I, and others, would benefit from being able to input different amounts rather than having to select from two predetermined amounts. (Yes, I understand you can change the amounts in the settings, but I don’t always drink a set amount at a time. I have a bottle with measurements on it, and sometimes I drink 2oz at a time… sometimes I drink 1. Sometimes I drink 4 and sometimes I drink 8. It varies. It would be nice to be able to input a specific amount each time. Or at least have the option available if my amount of water intake isn’t one of the two predetermined amount options given. Other than that, it’s a good app!

### 4/5 — Gulps

*2020-02-21, version 1.12*

Super easy to use. And i love the reminders you can set to drink drink drink

### 5/5 — Gulp

*2019-03-13, version 1.12*

Really helps me to remember to drink water because I tend to get really busy during my day. Thanks GULP.

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2019-02-14, version 1.12*

Really helped me get better at drinking water everyday. Great UI, simple. Good job!

### 5/5 — Love This App!!

*2018-11-08, version 1.12*

Awesome little reminders to help me to drink more water. No problems with it & easy to use. Thanks for developing 😉

### 5/5 — Super useful

*2018-07-08, version 1.10*

I don’t usually right reviews but I felt that I should this app has a super clean and easy to navigate home screen and is really helpful and it gives you a proper visual of how much water you are drinking it lets you set your own goals and gulp and you can set reminder through the app it also gives an option for metric or imperial which is great as well

### 4/5 — Great app to remind you to drink water

*2018-04-07, version 1.10*

This is one of the best apps I’ve found to remind me to drink water, works great with Apple Watch too. It feels so simple but maybe that’s all you need!

### 3/5 — Good enough if just using the app but needs work

*2017-11-30, version 1.9*

The app itself works fine in general. It would be even better if the app could read Apple Health so it would give a more comprehensive information.

As for things that do not work:
1) when I add a gulp from the watch, it does not update in Apple Health nor the app on the phone.
2) when I add a gulp from the widget from the phone, it does not update in Apple Health nor in the app on the phone.
3) on the watch, when I go over the 100%, the drop image is not showing anymore.

Occasionally, when trying to add gulp for the previous day, the app crashes.

### 5/5 — So simple

*2017-11-20, version 1.9*

I am breast feeding and live at altitude so keeping track of my water intake is extremely important to me. I love this app! 2 sizes to log and that’s it. I set the alerts as often as I need to keep up with drinking without getting annoyed

### 5/5 — Love the app!

*2017-08-03, version 1.9*

I like how simple it is. Reminder goes off and I drink! Boom!

### 5/5 — Love it

*2017-05-28, version 1.9*

Super simple and easy to use but I wish there was a "medium gulp" other than that love the app

### 5/5 — Just fantastic!

*2017-04-24, version 1.9*

I love it on my Apple Watch!
Such a simple app and yet I use it everyday 😎

### 4/5 — Great

*2017-03-24, version 1.9*

The best water monitoring app I've used and I've tried a lot. Nice and responsive on my Apple Watch original which most aren't. Only addition I would like is more options on water amounts. Only 2 available at the moment but not a big issue.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Need work

*2016-10-25, version 1.9*

The app doesn't work alone at the Apple Watch, if you keep your Apple Watch at Airplane mode, and add a gulp, and after, you remove the Airplane mode, the information from Apple Watch doesn't add at the App, and at the Health App, despite the Bluetooth to be on on both.

### 1/5 — Broken! 💩

*2015-12-30, version 1.7*

Doesn't seem to work properly. Percentage doesn't reset to 0% for the next day and the watch app crashes if I try to add a gulp if I'm at 13%. Has become worthless after using for one day.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t seem to work anymore

*2015-12-06, version 1.7*

I usually add my Gulps from the Watch app, or occasionally from the Today view on my iPhone Notification screen. I meet my daily goal just about every single day according to the Watch screen, yet when I open the calendar view in the iPhone app and check back over the last few weeks, it appears that most of the Gulps I added have not been recorded in the app. Nor is it showing up in the Apple Health app. So it would appear the Watch app is not properly communicating with the iPhone app.

Yesterday, it did seem to record all of my Gulps correctly, but this morning it is still showing yesterday’s results (117%) even though I haven’t added any Gulps yet today. There are some major issues with the app right now.

### 1/5 — Unscientific!

*2015-10-03, version 1.5*

Don't bother downloading this app. There are far superior free apps in the App Store.

### 2/5 — Can't remember what day it is

*2017-05-20, version 1.9*

The app is great, but it seems to get confused about what day it is. I usually track my water from my Apple Watch, and often the app starts the day with full water from the previous day. It then skips days and enters the water intake from days ago. If they fix this bug, it'd be a great app.

### 2/5 — Good app but missing a lot of key things

*2016-01-11, version 1.7*

I really love the simplicity of this app. It tracks big gulps and small gulps, which you can modify to suit your needs. I carry a 20oz water bottle with me everywhere and I always track a "big gulp" every time I finish it. The Apple Watch interface is sleek. It comes with a glance and a complication view. Despite all of this, it has a few bugs that are detrimental to the app functionality. 1- the Apple Watch and iPhone app doesn't seem to sync perfectly. So sometimes I would add on the watch or my iPhone, but they become two separate threads almost because hey don't sync. 2- I feel like the app gets confused sometimes. After using the app for a week, on some days, it thinks that you've reached your goal because the app still thinks you're on a different day.

### 2/5 — Custom drink sizes don't work.

*2016-01-10, version 1.7*

I like the clean look of this app, and it does do what it markets. However, there is a section where you can customize how many ounces you're drinking at a time. It is preset at 16oz and 8oz. You can edit these as you like, but it will only log the preset 16oz and 8oz, no matter what you change them to.

### 3/5 — Needs improvements, but solid

*2023-01-09, version 1.17.0*

Been looking for a simple water tracking app and this seems to be it, however I’m not sure the developer support this app anymore as the last update a year ago.

There seems to be an issue with your water intake being reset every day. Multiple times I go to track in the morning and it still has the volume from the day before and I just have to wait for it to finally reset at some point.

The watch complication is a cool feature but the graphic/logo when in the bottom left is confusing and randomly disables. I have to remove the complication and re-add it.

I will continue to use the app until these issue get the better of me.

### 3/5 — Siri shortcut doesn’t work

*2022-02-04, version 1.17.0*

I keep receiving “an error occurred” notification. The other apps’ shortcuts work, the Gulps does not.

### 3/5 — Good app needs polish

*2019-12-31, version 1.12*

Good idea and implementation. Just needs some polish and UX work. Dark theme would be great too.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Simple and effective

*2021-08-27, version 1.17.0*

I don’t usually write reviews for apps but this is such a diamond in the rough! Super simplified and perfect for people like me who get tend to get overwhelmed. Thank you for making such a great app free and accessible!

### 5/5 — Reminders give you that, “Oh yeah I forgot moment”

*2021-03-13, version 1.16.0*

Love this simple yet much needed reminder to drink my daily water.

Simple pop up that reminds you giving you that, “Oh yeah I forgot moment”

### 5/5 — Great!!

*2021-01-11, version 1.16.0*

At first this app was called water tracker and I got it but now they updated water tracker to gulps i am completely new app! Both of these are amazing and straightforward!

### 5/5 — Great tracking app

*2020-07-08, version 1.15.0*

I like the simplicity. However, with latest update when I try to enter gulps via notification quick reponse the app redirects me into the app. It wasn’t like that before and I really used to use that a lot! Please bring it back then I’ll add 2 more stars to my review. Thank you for your effort.

Edit: The developer of this app is the best. After latest update I still had the problem then I reached out to developer and we fixed it. If you still have the issue that I mentioned above, just turn off and on notifications in app settings.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2020-05-29, version 1.12*

Trying to drink more water and be healthier, this app really helps. I always walk around with my hydro flask, but I only refill it twice. This helps me remember to refill again. I love this. It’s simple and to the point

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2020-01-09, version 1.12*

Super easy and helpful! Already recommended it to my fellow pregnant friend.

### 5/5 — So convenient!

*2019-08-29, version 1.12*

What a clever way to get your water intake on track! Love this app and it is so easy to use.

### 5/5 — Gulps

*2019-08-18, version 1.12*

Gulps has helped me stay fit and go for it

### 5/5 — Question-

*2019-07-03, version 1.12*

I love this ap - however I’m on a weight loss program and how do I edit the amount of water I want to drink in a day ??

### 5/5 — I drank water...

*2019-04-03, version 1.12*

...and didn't futz with the app. Win, win.
