IN THOSE EARLY DAYS A FEW PROMINENT RESIDENTS OF GULSHAN, WITH A COLLECTIVE PASSION TO CREATE A HOME FOR LEISURE, SPORTS AND DEVELOPING FELLOWSHIP HAD GOT TOGETHER AT EACH OTHERS HOUSES AND WITH HUGE EFFORT MANAGED TO ACQUIRE A PLOT FROM THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES WHICH WAS NAMED THE GULSHAN CLUB. IT ALL STARTED WITH A THATCHED HOUSE WHICH ACTED AS THE OFFICE, THEN THE SQUASH COURT WAS CONSTRUCTED FOLLOWED BY THE TENNIS COMPLEX AND SO ON AND SO FORTH LEADING TODAY TO A COMPLEX OF NEARLY FOUR AND A HALF BIGHAS, THE BIGGEST IN GULSHAN. MOST OF THE MEMBERS OF GULSHAN CLUB ARE RESIDENTS OF GULSHAN, BARIDHARA, AND BANANI. THE CLUB IS ON THE VERGE OF IMPLEMENTING A COMPREHENSIVE MASTER PLAN WHICH IT BOASTS WILL BE THE BEST IN SOUTH ASIA.
