## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.2.0 — 2026-08-18

Siri, Spotlight, and widgets.

GunBase now reaches beyond the app.

• Ask Siri to search your collection or tell you how many items you have, without opening the app.
• Find items directly in Spotlight, then tap straight through to the item.
• Two new Home Screen widgets: a collection overview and NFA stamp coverage.
• Add a Scan control to Control Center or your Lock Screen to jump straight into adding an item.
• Privacy stays first. Serials, notes, values, locations, and documents never appear on any system surface. A single switch in Settings, Show Collection in Siri and Search, turns all of it off, and enabling App Lock disables and erases it for you.

This update also carries the security work from our previous release:
• Your photos and documents are now access-protected on our servers, so only your account can load them.
• Hardened sign-in, password reset, and rate limiting.
• Stronger on-device protection of your inventory data at rest.

Restoring purchases now re-syncs your Rounds balance from your account.

### 2.0.1 — 2026-07-14

GunBase 2.0: Your paperwork, finally in one place.

Documents brings your Form 4s, tax stamps, receipts, appraisals, and manuals into GunBase, right next to the firearms they belong to.

- Add documents by scanning with the camera, importing from Files or your photo library, or sharing a PDF straight from Mail or Safari.
- GunBase reads each document automatically: it titles it, dates it, and matches serial numbers to your items, then asks you to confirm before anything is attached. Nothing links without your say-so.
- Your NFA stamps are saved for offline automatically, so a Form 4 is always on your phone when you need it. Pin any other document to keep it offline too.
- View, search inside, share, and print documents with the built-in viewer, protected by App Lock.
- Start a new item from its paperwork: scan the Form 4 or receipt first and GunBase prefills the details.
- Search your whole collection's paperwork, and documents now show up in results alongside items.
- Ask the Armorer about your documents: it can find them, quote them, and tell you which NFA items have their stamps on file.
- Filter by "Has documents" and include paperwork in your exports.

The Armorer now streams its answers.

- Answers appear as they are written, so long questions no longer time out.
- Watch the Armorer work in real time: a live activity log shows each search it runs and each document it reads, with a short recap when it finishes.
- Stop an answer at any time.
- Reliability fixes for Armorer chat.

Also new: Locations. Organize your collection by where it is actually kept.

- Create houses, rooms, safes, cases, vehicles, and storage units, then nest them to match your setup, like a safe inside a room inside a house.
- Assign any item to a location, or leave it unassigned. Locations are completely optional.
- Filter or group your inventory by location, and the Armorer knows what is inside each one.

Documents are private to your GunBase and never publicly accessible. Manage everything new under Settings.

### 1.8.0 — 2026-07-06

Add items your way, now with Manual entry.

Tap Manual at the top of the Add screen to type in an item's details yourself, no photos required. It's the fast path when you already know what you're logging.

- Scan or Manual: keep using AI photo analysis, or switch to Manual to enter the fields by hand.
- Photos are optional in Manual, add them if you want or save without.
- Attachments: log a scope, optic, suppressor, or other accessory as its own item, each with its own photos.

Prefer the AI photo flow? It's unchanged and right where you left it.

### 1.7.0 — 2026-07-04

Watch it rain.

• Adding an item is now a show — while GunBase identifies your firearms and researches market values, a subtle shower of firearm-themed icons drifts down behind the screen.
• Ask The Armorer got the same touch: an ambient icon rain greets you until you start a conversation.
• Respects Reduce Motion — turn it on and the rain settles into a calm, static scatter.

### 1.6.2 — 2026-06-19

GunBase now connects through its own dedicated home for a faster, more reliable experience. This is a behind-the-scenes update, with no change to how you use the app.
