I’ll get to the end of the game sometimes and go back to play it and my data is gone.. it’s very depressing. I would absolutely give this 5 stars but this issue is too big to ignore. ### 4/5 — A true classic *2024-12-30* I’ve literally been playing Gurk games since 2011 ish??? And I still come back to Gurk III. Unfortunately there are a couple issues with the very latest iOS I hope the developers update it!! Example: pressing the on screen buttons rapidly sometimes bring up the Writing Tools prompt, as if the whole screen is a big text box. ### 2/5 — Great game, but can’t save *2023-01-24* Great game I’ve had it for years and periodically decide to boot it up and 100% play through every few months. Last couple of times I’ve played it won’t keep a save. After saving it and closing the app, I’ll find that upon reopening it there is no option to continue. 5 stars if this is fixed. ### 2/5 — Broken save system *2022-06-18* I love this game, but there is a bug that deletes your saved game if your device runs low on memory, or something similar. The save game disappears and I have to start over. The game is indiscriminate as to when it resets. Simple, old school and a fun way to kill two minutes or two hours. I would gladly give this 5 stars except for a bug that happened since iOS9 came around - the game will run perfectly for days or weeks until you beat the programmer and unlock the extra characters. After that, the game has a glitch where it will work perfectly then without warning it will simply reset. You load the game and your saved game is gone. Annoying. Especially when it has happened in the final dungeon just before I was to beat the programmer again. Please fix! ### 4/5 — Good Game, But not worth if I lose everything. *2018-05-03* I love this game deeply with my soul and heart, and the Roleplaying gist is amazing and can entertain me for hours upon hours with continuous fun. The only issue is if I save and I clean my history, the game completely resets and I lose everything. That was a real tick off and I deleted the game, and I hope this review is seen by the developers as a cry of help, to fix the save system! ### 3/5 — Won’t save games *2018-02-20* The game itself is wonderful, and very hard to stop playing. However, I am tired of having to start a new game, despite hitting “save game” each time I play. The game needs to be updated so that it won’t reset every time I kill the app. ### 5/5 — Addicting *2017-12-12* This game is deceptively strategic. You not only have to plan out your supplies and items to get to the end of the dungeon, you must also plan for your way back. It also makes a huge difference which tactics you use in battle, especially against bosses. I got so addicted I played past the end--all the way to the point where the developer begs you to stop because he's all out of ideas! ### 5/5 — Best Devs ever *2017-09-12, version 1.03* Made a review asking for the app to be updated for iOS 11 and they delivered 2 weeks later. Please update the game so I can play without having to worry about it losing my saved data. I wish there were a sequel. ### 5/5 — GUYS READ THIS ABOUT SAVE FILES *2021-06-30* This is the most nostalgic take you back to 1980's 8 bit rpg. The music for every part of the game is absolutely unbelievable. Edit: Guys I reached out to the devs and he told me this. The reason the save files are being deleted randomly has to due with your storage space. The lower the memory the higher the chance it will delete your save to clear room. They said it's a framework problem. Just glad to figure it out so I asked about how much room to keep and will post back. Edit: Never got an answer however having less than 3gb of space is usually when I lose my save file.
