## What is GUS?

GUS is a focused gastric ultrasound calculator for clinicians using point-of-care ultrasound to estimate gastric volume.

Enter antral cross-sectional area, patient age, and patient weight to calculate estimated gastric volume and volume per kg. GUS displays a simple low-risk or high-risk interpretation using a 1.5 mL/kg threshold.

The app includes adult and paediatric calculation modes, age-range guardrails, and quick access to formula references.
