## What is GutPilot?

Ask "Can I eat this?" and get a straight answer in a second. GutPilot is the low-FODMAP companion that walks the whole journey: what you can eat, what to order, and which foods are really behind your symptoms.

CAN I EAT THIS?
Type any food. Foods on our verified list answer instantly, even offline, with the serving thresholds and the source behind them. Anything else gets clearly labeled general guidance, never an invented number. A dish is never mistaken for one of its ingredients.

SCAN THE MENU BEFORE YOU ORDER
Photograph a menu. GutPilot separates what the menu actually names from what's typically hidden, so a named ingredient gives you a verdict and a suspected one gives you the exact question to ask your server.

KNOW WHAT YOU CAN EAT, RIGHT NOW
Your home screen leads with safe options for your phase, not a wall of foods you must avoid, filtered by what you've already eaten today and by the groups you know you react to.

REINTRODUCE PROPERLY
A structured plan covering all six FODMAP groups, with fructans split into bread, onion, garlic and cereal: three dose days, washout guidance, and an automatic stop if symptoms reach moderate. You finish with a tolerance profile that's yours, and it re-filters every answer in the app.

SEE YOUR OWN PATTERNS
Log a meal in seconds and check in with how you feel. After two weeks GutPilot shows which FODMAP groups line up with your worst days, always labeled as patterns and never as proof, plus a weekly briefing that names one thing to try next.

SOURCES ON EVERY ANSWER
Every serving figure shows where it came from and when we checked it. Where testing laboratories disagree, GutPilot shows the more cautious figure and says so.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. Your diary stays on your phone.

FREE TO USE
Food answers, your diary, the full reintroduction protocol, 2 menu scans and 2 weekly briefings. The free plan shows a small non-personalized banner ad; we don't read your advertising ID or track you across apps.

PREMIUM
Unlimited menu scans and AI answers, weekly briefings, the Gut Handbook export for your dietitian, and no ads. Choose a yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial, a monthly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. The price is shown in your own currency before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple Account on confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple Account settings. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited if you subscribe during the trial.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.0.5 — 2026-10-05

Can I eat this? is now more careful and more helpful:
- Verified answers only for foods we know exactly; a dish is never mistaken for an ingredient
- If a name covers several foods (ripe or unripe banana, three kinds of coffee) it asks which one you mean
- Portion-aware headlines: low up to a serving, moderate at the next, high beyond
- Over 200 foods with published serving thresholds and sources
Also new: a personalised starting point in onboarding, a lifetime option alongside monthly and yearly plans, reminders that skip days you've already logged, and a menu scan sample so you can see how it works before you eat out.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-09-29

New: Can I eat this? Type any food or dish for an instant answer: verified serving data with sources when we have it, clearly labelled general guidance when we don't. New: an optional daily reminder so a busy evening doesn't become a missed week. Insights now show your progress towards your first patterns, and Weekly Briefings wait until there's enough data to say something real. Plus clearer messages when Menu Scan or Briefings are busy.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-25

Minor stability improvements.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-17

No release notes.
