## What is GutSpy?

Find your IBS triggers in 14 days.

GutSpy is an IBS tracker and bowel movement diary that helps you log stool, symptoms and meals in seconds. Follow a free 14-day program to spot possible trigger patterns based on your own logs.

Made specifically for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), GutSpy puts your bowel habits, symptoms and food diary in one simple timeline. No calorie counting or unrelated wellness features.

What's new in GutSpy 3.0
• Home Screen widget: check your day and start logging with one tap
• Free 14-day program starts automatically with your first log
• Daily context: record stress, sleep, travel, alcohol or your period
• Offline reminders that skip days you've already logged
• Meet Bean, your new logging companion

Track your IBS symptoms and bowel movements
• Log stool type using the Bristol stool scale
• Keep a bowel movement diary and track frequency
• Record bloating, cramps, nausea, gas, urgency, diarrhea and constipation
• Log meals and look for possible food-related patterns
• Track abdominal pain, flare-ups and changes over time

Spot possible IBS trigger patterns
• Start the free guided 14-day program with your first entry
• Get a summary of what stood out in your own logs
• Optionally follow up on one suspected trigger with a guided test
• Review bowel movements, meals and symptoms together
• Compare weekly changes in stool type, frequency and symptom severity

Bring a clearer history to your doctor
Instead of trying to remember how you've felt, review your recorded symptoms and bowel habits. With GutSpy Plus, export a PDF report to share with a healthcare professional.

Built for IBS
GutSpy is designed for people tracking IBS-C, IBS-D and IBS-M symptoms. You can also connect Apple Health (read-only) to view sleep, cycle and activity alongside your diary.

Free and GutSpy Plus
Daily logging, your timeline, daily context, the guided 14-day program and its summary are free. GutSpy Plus is an annual subscription with more detailed patterns and a downloadable PDF report. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings.

Available in English, Spanish, Polish and Portuguese.

Important: GutSpy identifies possible patterns in the information you choose to log. It does not diagnose IBS or other conditions, provide medical advice, or replace a healthcare professional. Speak to a qualified healthcare professional before making medical decisions.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.0.2 — 2026-10-23

Your program now tells you what your result still needs, while there is time.

• Your program card shows how many meals and BM days your day 14 result needs, with one tap to log
• If a result ends short on meals, it now asks you to log meals, not to add tags
• On days your result is short on meals, a reminder asks what you ate
• Stools that do not match the IBS type you picked now count in your result
• The day 7 checkpoint has a back button

### 3.0.0 — 2026-10-16

GutSpy 3.0 is here, and your gut has company.

Meet Bean
Your new little mascot cheers on your logs, changes mood throughout the day and gets a little too excited when you're all caught up.

GutSpy on your Home Screen
See your day at a glance and start a check-in in one tap with the new widget.

Your free 14-day program starts automatically
Start logging and your program begins. After 14 days, see a summary of possible patterns from your entries. Want to look closer at one suspected trigger? Try an optional guided follow-up test.

More context for your IBS diary
Record stress, sleep, travel, alcohol and your period alongside symptoms, stool and meals.

Smarter offline reminders
Get reminders even without internet, skip days you've already logged and tap “Remind me in an hour” when you're busy.

Plus fixes and improvements throughout GutSpy.

### 2.6.0 — 2026-09-20

Patterns are now a fair comparison, not a tally.

• Each food tag is compared with similar meals without it, so a food you eat often no longer tops the list just because you eat it often
• A reaction means a symptom, or a stool outside your usual range, 12 to 36 hours after a meal
• When your 14 days end without a suspect, GutSpy now tells you why and what to log next
• Meals you describe in words get tags automatically. Tags you set yourself always win

### 2.5.0 — 2026-09-07

A new look, and a clearer path to your first pattern.

• New GutSpy icon and brand mark throughout the app
• Onboarding now ends with your 14 days: start the program straight away, or explore the app first
• No upgrade prompts until your logs can support a pattern. Until then you see how many logged days are left
• Actions you unlock with IBS Plus now run right after you subscribe, instead of sending you back to an unchanged screen

### 2.4.1 — 2026-09-01

This update fixes several logging issues from user reports.

• Pick the date and time when logging a bowel movement, so past BMs land on the right day
• Date and time dialogs on the meal and symptom screens now work properly on Android
• Fixed a crash when editing the time of an existing log
• Today now shows only that day's logs; entries about earlier days show on their own day
• Fixed an update prompt that kept asking about the wrong version
