GW2 Assistant is a fan-made app for viewing your Guild Wars 2® account and character information on the go! Without an API key you can view the Boss Timers. If you'd like to view your character and account information, you will need to generate an API token on https://account.arena.net/applications, and make sure to give it permission to builds, characters, progression, wallet, builds, account, inventories, and unlocks. You can enter the key by copying and pasting it onto the settings page or by scanning the barcode. If you do not give it a given permission, the app will still function but the page attached to that permission will not be available. Most views can be refreshed by dragging down and releasing when "refresh" appears. We request the Camera permission to allow the scanning of barcodes. You can no longer enter your API either by copy paste OR by scanning with camera. Neither works anymore rendering app useless. **Developer response:** Update: I think I found it! I'm running a new build now and should send it out to testers today. I can't reproduce the API key being un-enterable, but there is a case where after entering it you may need to pull to refresh on the pages that say you need certain API key permissions (and one instance where the error message does not properly disappear after doing so - I've added that to the tracker). My biggest issue on my iPad is that the UI needs some serious improvement. Many pages are just broken looking and illegible. The idea and work put in this far is great, but it needs updating for sure. ### 4/5 — Great App *2019-05-31* I love this app, but it would be super cool if you could turn reminders/notifications on or off for world bosses. There used to be an app on iOS App Store that showed all the world bosses in a list and then showed what time it would next pop up. You could turn the reminders on or off and then each time that boss would show up, it would push notif on phone. It’d also be cool to show the achievements you’re closest to completing. Or at least an ability to sort them. Categories would be nice too. Otherwise, excellent app! ### 5/5 — Great, updated and iOS friendly *2019-03-17, version 2.1.1* Does everything I could want. Characters and there deaths, wallet, bank, collectables, achievements and more. Its also got a boss timer and daily activity tab. ### 5/5 — Love this app! *2019-03-06* The Guild Wars 2 Assistant has been super helpful keeping my characters and activities organized. I love how it links to the wiki if you aren’t sure of some of the full details for things like what this weapon deats are or where this daily entails and whatnot. (It does include the basics on all these things, the wiki is just linked for extra info.) The boss timer is real time and spot on. This app has been a game changer :) the only thing is when I tried to go support the devs, Ko-Fi tells me that you haven’t set up support payments, or something to that effect?? So I can’t send money compliments for this wonderful app ;3; (although I guess that’s fine cause I don’t have a paypal, anyway). But I would like to do something to support the devs cause like I said this app has been a blessing in disguise!! So here’s a glowing review! It’s also a breeze to set up using API Key. ### 4/5 — Was working good *2017-11-08* Good app that helped keep track of which characters had what in their inventory, and keeping up with daily’s. Was working pretty good with the occasional shut down and restart. But as of yesterday all it does it give a spinning loading symbol. Should be good once it’s updated **Developer response:** I believe the API was down a fair amount around the time of the Path of Fire release and the subsequent months (which the app needs to handle more gracefully), so it should be mostly better now. But... *2017-09-14* I love the info in the app! However, I come across certain screens where I get the spinning loading icon in the middle of the screen and it spins and spins. At that point I can't do anything. Other things I have no issue. I have to restart the app at that time.
