While there is nothing explicit, there is a lot of innuendo. The LGBT+ positive messaging is very present and also welcome. The downsides are the frequent micro-pays, the minor pay-to-win aspects to some Skins/Costumes. But I still quite enjoy playing, especially in the timed real-time PvP Arena. I wish they had Daily bosses that provided some unique or special rewards, but its fine. I would Reccomend occasionally spending a few dollars (the daily $0.99 buy is a good one to get occasionally) just to help speed up progress with mats etc…. But I have seen people progress to high ends with Basic characters you get easily when you first start for free! So its fun! SAVE YOUR PACT STONES! Dont waste them! You need 100 to get a specific character you want, so save up and dont toss them on “starter summons” ### 2/5 — Overall, GYEE is a Disappointing and Generally Bad Game *2025-12-14, version 1.19.1* I wasn’t going to write a review, but I just had a realization that made me incredibly upset. The game offers a $50 premium pass for an exclusive summon banner, which gives 10 silver summon tokens and 10 gold summon tokens. You gain the ability generate silver tokens by summoning 10 times (not including a singular daily freebie or the exclusive summon). You can do the exclusive summon once every week and about an hour. It rolls 10 results, including a character. 4* characters are free, but here’s the issue. Silver and gold prices on redeeming characters are discounted to 10 the first time each month. 5* characters cost silver, 6* characters cost gold. You want another 10 gold summon tickets? IT COSTS OVER $100 IN PREMIUM CURRENCY. In normal summons, that same amount could get you 60 pulls. Now, what can you expect to get from 60 pulls? SIX CHARACTERS. To be guaranteed one character, you need to pull 10 times at once or 14 times individually (it only becomes relevant in the freebie pull). To guarantee a banner character, you need 70 pulls for a 5* or 100 pulls for a 6*. F2p, you can get 10 pulls about twice a month. I have about a quarter of the characters at this point, and let me tell you, I have never once gotten more than one character from a 10 pull nor the banner character before the 100th pull. What about the other 90 pulls? Garbage. Universal upgrade materials at a rate of 2-3/pull or character specific skill upgrade materials at a rate of 5/pull are the best pulls other than characters, but there’s also gold, which is worthless, or farmable materials. Surely the guys must be hot, right? The art is good, if not limited in scope (generally 4-8 expressions in conversations and 2-4 art scenes if you don’t buy skins), but the battle models are WoW- tier. Plus, the game’s story and dialogue (when properly translated) is the sanitized, preachy sort of gay, in spite of how horny the game is anyways. Should mention, it also has minor characters that are given the same, if not more attention than adult characters. ### 3/5 — Glitches and restarting all over again *2025-07-10, version 1.19.1* Please fix glitches and I have to start all over again with getting my GYEE that I want. I can’t remember what I used to log in ### 3/5 — hyper skin fail *2025-06-19, version 1.19.1* the paid for hyper skin won’t display in the lounge ### 2/5 — I can’t play *2025-05-24, version 1.19.1* After installing the game and opening it, it told me there was a new version which needed to be updated and the update isn’t progressing after 28% no matter how long I wait ### 4/5 — It would be good if I could play it *2025-01-07, version 1.19.1* When I saw the rating for this game, I checked the reviews, expecting some complaints about the gameplay, but pretty much nothing in that department. They were almost all just complaints about the game being buggy, I thought to myself that I could handle a few bugs, maybe they’re fixed by now anyway. Yet after significant trouble downloading the game the first time, I found myself locked out of the game. When I tried to load it up again at first, it loaded like normal, but then got stuck at a percentage. I decided to just reload it, and so it continued loading, but then got stuck again. When I tried reloading it one more time, the loading screen would appear, but none of the loading text would. No matter what I did after that, even offloading the app and fully shutting off my phone, it would never go back to normal. I’m sure it would be great game if I could play it -_- ### 1/5 — don’t bother *2024-08-10, version 1.19.1* all of my data was wiped clean after the new distributor took over. i put a lot of work into the game and had a decent sized collection 👎🏾don’t waste your time ### 3/5 — The prices.. *2024-08-10, version 1.19.1* The art, the characters, it’s all amazing but it does get boring from time to time. Wish the dailies for this game was actually fun to do, sometimes it just feels so tasking. I know this game is free too and all, but the prices..maaan the prices.. nearly 100$ for one skin, I’d rather buy me and someone else’s dinner with that money. You guys should also consider changing the background instead of us staying on the ship, while on the note of changing things, the UI could use some work, as well as the animations(*cough* the walk cycle).. Fix and nerf DoT damage or this Moon game must be removed in App Store. ### 2/5 — Development is going nowhere *2024-03-02, version 1.19.1* I have been playing this game for years, hoping that it would just need some time to be developed better, but it’s lazy. Let me explain: New updates will include either a new Gyee, a new skin, or some other lacklustre customization like a border for your portrait. That’s it. They don’t create new enemies, new areas, or events that feel impactful. It’s just so frustrating to have a game with such good characters and world be reduced to what they created here. And talking about skins, the avatars (main character we play) don’t get any new skins?? Where’s the customization to the character that has to be in your party no matter what? Here’s some things that could fix this game. Let us assume the identity of a Gyee. Instead of a butler following us, let us move around as the butler without the avatar, let us assume the characters we love. Create more open world content, some way to explore, and find encounters while seeing other players moving around. Make the game SOCIAL! Encourage community. Implement a multiplayer system that lets us have a party of 2/2 with another player. They choose 2 gyees and we choose 2 gyees so create combos that encourage players who don’t have a certain gyees to team up with someone who does for certain challenges. This game has so much potential. And I want to love it so bad. But I’m just so bored. It’s deadly boring. In terms of monetization. It’s a mobile gacha game like what else you expect. Let me just say that I would be willing to spend so much money on this game if it was made right. Devs I know the NA version isn’t the main one, but I really encourage you to push these ideas you have in your reviews to improve the game. You have something here that could be amazing, but you’re just not doing anything new anymore. ### 1/5 — Don’t work *2023-12-20, version 1.19.1* It won’t let me upgrade , because it’s still frozen since yesterday, why I can’t go through?!!!? ### 4/5 — Summoning characters is hard *2023-10-31, version 1.19.1* I’m so far liking the game it’s just I feel like getting characters is really slow. It takes ages to get a new character first you have to get pact stones and it might be easy at first but, then it gets harder you limited to quest to get pact stones and your not able to get as much. Not only that summoning isn’t the best either I think supplies to upgrade characters should be a whole different summoning area that uses a different currency instead of it being with the regular summoning to get a GYEE and only giving one guy out of ten pact stones. Like I said I believe summoning GYEEs should be it’s own thing where you can only summon GYEEs instead of items with the GYEEs. Not only that we need more ways to get more pact stone maybe every time one of your characters intimacy level levels up you get a pact stone or a pact stone every time your avatar levels ups or more events that guarantee More pact stones or even skins and another thing maybe even playable fun events that guarantee characters maybe even some limited time characters you can get just by playing that one event. Another thing is the log in events I can kinda care less about those cause they don’t feel as rewarding I only sometimes do it cause of the one pact stone I’m able to get from it but, it never feels as rewarding don’t be afraid with those rewards put more pact stones put more stuff give more daily request that feel more rewarding more weekly request heck maybe do monthly quest. One game I can say that does this stuff really great is Crusaders Quest as much as I like that game I like this game too but, I think this game can learn from it. I do really like this game and I see great potential but, it gets a little hard to stay interested in a game where I’m barely able to get and try new characters and is stuck with the characters I started with like I said this game is really good and I would hate to see it get dismissed and discontinued. ### 1/5 — so bad *2023-07-16, version 1.19.0* forces low fps, movement is awkward, voice acting is so bad and forces a dub, and the game holds your hand too much. ### 2/5 — Gender equality *2023-05-18, version 1.18.0* For a game that promotes “lgbtq” I would think that the game would provide options for the MC to be female as well and also for other characters to interact with me as she/her, but Alas this seems to be a game focused on primarily the male gay audience and not the rest of the LGBTQ community, false advertisement? I believe so. ### 3/5 — There’s a Great Game in Here, Somewhere *2023-02-28, version 1.17.1* There are no other games available in English on the mobile market that are doing what GYEE is. That alone marks it out as something special. I have to admit I have a great deal of affection if this game and there’s a lot of good here, but there are some serious issues that I hope the developers note and act to address. I do want to start with the good. There’s a great array of characters and many are well-designed eye candy. While the game’s graphics are nothing to write home about, the base art style is solid, and the music is fine. Gameplay is solid and allows a wide array of party compositions. It is a generally enjoyable game early on. Now for the criticisms. The game’s core story is interesting but there is not a lot of it. Players can expect to reach a point in the game where the next story chapter is out of level range, and there will be a substantial grind for exp to reach that chapter. Once that chapter is done, the cycle will repeat as story chapters do not give enough exp to level. The gameplay, as I’ve said is solid but not stellar. The story needs to be more accessible to players and not hard locked behind levels. Without that access, and with exp rewards from other game modes negligible, the game can devolve into a grind fest that loses its charm pretty quickly. Apart from story, there is an array of other game modes like PVP or Never Isle activities. However, all of these are time locked. They are only open for a few hours of every day. That presents an issue as the times for things like the “noon arena” are appear to be EST locked, putting PST players like myself behind. It also means that if one has work or school during the day, these modes may be entirely inaccessible to them. Either extend the hours for these modes (especially PVP) or just make them 24 hour accessible. The last criticism I have is resource management. There are two big in-game currencies: black dragonshards and white dragonshards. Black dragonshards are somewhat limited but the game gives you opportunities to accrue more via activities in game. Players use these to pay for items or summoning stones to try to get new characters, items, etc. White dragonshards, on the other hand, are pretty much exclusively paid for by real world currency. There is no way to accumulate them in game, and if there is, it is certainly not in any meaningful amount. Generally, white dragonshards are used either to buy more black dragonshards, but are also used to by things like alternate skins for characters. That would not be an issue on its own, but certain characters have skins that actually do alter or enhance their abilities beyond the aesthetic. These outfits effectively have a real world currency paywall. My advice here would be to follow what some other title do and allow the purchase of the outfit with real world currency but to add white dragonshards to what the player gets. Otherwise players the dilemma of whether to purchase a skin or purchase more black dragonshards. I’d also suggest adding in a few ways to obtain WD in game. It doesn’t have to be a substantial amount, but it can reward players to manage resources frugally. I do like this game quite a lot, and it’s definitely unique. I just wish the game had a bit more accessibility to really help it shine and reach a wider audience. ### 1/5 — Not worth my time *2023-02-26, version 1.17.1* I'm heartbroken because I love the characters and the fact that this game is the only one of its kind, but it's too laborious to continue playing. It takes an absurdly long time to level up my Gyees and unlock things around the ship. The more I play, the more I get annoyed by the clunky UI, poor animations, overused voice lines, and the overall lack of polish. Besides the great art, there isn't much left to look forward to. Considering it's been about four years since this English version came out and none of these obvious flaws have been fixed, I don't expect any fundamental changes to come for a very long time. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Great game terrible development *2026-05-12, version 1.19.1* Tell the Devs to close the game. No real updates, and their anniversary event, came with so many bugs and Incomplete. They keep testing the players patience and don’t give anything to the community. This server is pretty much abandoned. Don’t waste your time downloading this ### 1/5 — I like the men but not the others *2026-03-25, version 1.19.1* Was really enjoying and getting into the game but then I saw the shota characters and was really turned off by that. This was supposed to be a fun space for LGBTQ+ men who want to play a game that wasn’t strictly for the woman’s gaze(Just to be clear I’m not against it it’s just not very common to see in gay or BL stories) and was ruined when I saw a literal kid in the more “Spicy” areas of the map. The queer community already gets put under fire because they always associate the kids when talking about the LGBTQ+ in political settings and this is not helping at all. I love the customization, I wish there where more outfits and more customization options for skins in gameplay and for your butler. But this is a fun little game if you like grinding for stuff and watching numbers go up like I do. The devs are very responsive and will totally help if there are any issues with losing things. And you can tell they actually want a cool game with little stories to keep you wanting more. The sometimes broken English is so endearing to me!!!
