## What is Gyeol?

Gyeol is a reading journal for keeping track of what you read and sharing it with other readers. The app is in Korean.

When you close a book, something stays with you: the time you spent, the lines you underlined, how it felt. Gyeol keeps them from scattering.

▸ Log your reading

• Search for books, add them to your shelf, and record the pages you've read
• Time your reading with the reading timer, and check it right from the Lock Screen
• Finished books get thicker spines, so you can watch your shelf fill up
• See when and how much you read at a glance on the reading calendar

▸ Make a plan and keep it

• Set a finish date and the app splits the book into daily pages for you
• Choose which days you read and which days you rest
• Get a reminder of today's pages at a time you choose

▸ Keep the lines that matter

• Take a photo of a page and the app recognizes the text, so you don't have to retype it
• Text recognition happens only on your device. Photos are never sent to a server
• Leave thoughts on any page and come back to that page later

▸ Read together

• Start a book club or find one to join
• Suggest books to read together and decide by vote
• Post and comment on the club board, and see other readers' notes
• Follow the footsteps of people who read the same book

▸ After you finish

• Leave a star rating and a one-line review to capture how it felt
• When you reread, each round is recorded separately
• Say whether you'd recommend the book, and see books other readers recommend

Only what a reader needs. No ads, and no tracking.
