GyfBox is a social gifting platform—making local businesses giftable globally. Send someone a gift to a real local business—a coffee at the corner cafe, dinner at their favorite neighborhood spot, or a spa day they've been meaning to book. Pick a place, choose an amount, and send it in seconds. They get the value instantly in their in-app Wallet and redeem it in person. Thoughtful for them. Great for local business. ## Version history (last 2 releases) ### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-15 GYFBOX — APP REVIEW NOTES Version 1.0.2 (21) WHAT'S NEW SINCE 1.0.0 (18) 1. Linked connections. Signed in as demo, open Search, search "avabennett", open the profile and tap "Link". Ava's account is public, so it becomes "Linked" at once. Profile -> "Linked" tile now lists her; tap Unlink there to remove. For accounts with "Private Account" switched on (Profile), a Link stays "Requested" until the owner approves it under Profile -> "Link requests". 2. "List your business on GyfBox" (Profile -> gear icon). Opens gyfbox.com in Safari: an inquiry form for business owners. No purchase, payment, or account is created in the app; our team follows up by email. 3. Fixes: a crash when leaving the map while it loads; notifications now go only to the account signed in on the device. WHAT IT IS GyfBox lets people send a small prepaid gift ("a GyfBox") redeemable at a specific local business. The recipient gets the value in an in-app Wallet and redeems it in person. DEMO ACCOUNT (sample gifts + history) demo@gyfbox.com / GyfBoxDemo!2026 Sign in: "Profile" tab (bottom right) -> "Sign In". SECOND ACCOUNT (Report/Block and Linked tests) @avabennett — ava.bennett.gyfbox@example.com / GyfBoxReview!2026 PAYMENTS — PLEASE READ BEFORE A PURCHASE These are prepaid credits for real-world goods and services at physical local businesses, so they are outside In-App Purchase (Guideline 3.1.3(e) / 3.1.5). Stripe runs in LIVE mode, so test cards are declined. You don't need a card: the demo account is comped on our server. As demo@gyfbox.com, send a GyfBox normally — the payment step is skipped, no card is requested, no charge is made, and the gift lands in the Wallet as for a paying user. Any other account is charged a real card; email support@gyfbox.com and we refund immediately. CORE FLOW Home (pick "Atlanta" or search a city/ZIP) -> Map or Search -> open a business -> "Send a GyfBox" -> amount, recipient (phone or email), optional message -> pay -> gift appears in the recipient's Wallet. SIGN-UP DATA (5.1.1(v)) Only email and password are required. Mobile number and birthday are labeled "(optional)" and can be skipped; every feature works without them. Edit anytime in Profile -> gear icon -> "Edit profile". SAFETY (1.2) Report/Block: as demo, Search "avabennett", open the profile, "..." menu (top right) -> Report or Block. Blocking hides both profiles from each other and from search; Unblock is in the same menu. Filtering: gift messages, review comments, display names, handles and bios are screened server-side against a slur list before storage, with spacing and character substitution normalized. PRIVACY POLICY AND TERMS (5.1.1(i)) Profile -> gear icon -> "Legal". Also linked under the create-account form. ACCOUNT DELETION (5.1.1(v)) Profile -> gear icon -> "Delete account". Permanently removes the account and its personal data. Please run it on your own new account so the shared demo stays available. REDEMPTION Redemption completes in person on the merchant's own tool, so it can't be finished end-to-end without a participating merchant. You can see the customer side: open a gift in the Wallet and generate a code, which shows its generation time and a live expiry countdown. "LOCKED" PROFILE TILES "Locked · Redeem to post" tiles are post slots, not paid content. One unlocks when the user redeems a GyfBox, letting them post a photo and note about that visit. No payment or subscription is involved. PERMISSIONS • Notifications — alert a recipient of a received gift. • Location (optional) — matches a redemption to the nearest business location; the app works if denied. • Camera (optional) — only for "Take Photo" when setting a profile picture; "Choose from Library" is also offered. No NFC functionality and no local-network access.
