### 4/5 — Good but needs few tweeks

*2026-08-27, version 2.8.1*

I would have given 5 stars if they had few points. First, they allow you to manually enter cals but not Macros! No sense right, so basically you enter the cals and you see 0fat 0 carbs! Secondly, scan does not recognize some products if it is not in their database. (In this case it is essential they allow macros manual entries ).

### 3/5 — Great info/unfortunate app

*2026-08-11, version 2.8.0*

This app provides a ton of helpful info and good advice. However the diet tracking portion of the app is like communicating with someone who’s never heard of food. It’s impossible to actually track accurate intake because it doesn’t have reasonable selections. If the app were improved I would definitely try the service again!

### 3/5 — Add fiber content

*2026-08-06, version 2.8.0*

Needs more . Add fiber intake . Also the macros on my beef and rice were off by a bit. Like the price tho. Just needs more

### 4/5 — Tracking items

*2026-07-19, version 2.8.0*

Every time i try to search up an item on the search bar it always says that there is no internet connection even though i have full bars. i also try to use my data instead but gives me the same result. please resolve this issue.

### 3/5 — Am I missing something?

*2026-06-04, version 2.8.0*

If you were to ask me: “why are you about to cancel your free trial?”

My answer would be: because of the cumbersome nature of creating favorite items. Just let me add something I searched for? Or am I missing something?

### 4/5 — Love it

*2026-05-24, version 2.8.0*

Love your app it would be really useful if the fiber were also tracked.

### 4/5 — Meals and Foods

*2026-04-25, version 2.8.0*

Wish the meals would show total amount of calories and macros per meal type instead of the total for the day only. Also, ingredients hard to find sometimes. Database lacking. But the metabolic tool to phase in and adapt to weight loss goals is very useful.

### 3/5 — Needs more options

*2026-03-21, version 2.8.0*

It would be nice if this app would sync with my iPad, haver favorites capabilities and be able to scan my plate of food and give the calorie count. Also, there are too many items that the bar code scan is missing. It would be nice if we could add a bar scan code too our account once it's used and three product is not found.

### 3/5 — Good for pure calorie tracking

*2026-03-03, version 2.7.6*

The app works well for purely calorie tracking and has a cool ai integration, although it’s not always accurate. Compared to other apps I would say this one falls short in several ways. First, there is no way I could find to input foods with macros that I can’t find in the database. So I can either just purely track the calories or try to find a similar food with incorrect macros. When trying for a specific daily protein intake, this can be pretty annoying.

Saving meals or foods is not intuitive. The bar scanning feature is nice but often the data base can’t find the food or barcode. There is no integration between smart calorie trackers and the app. I know the app attempts to calculate metabolic rate and daily caloric need over time with weight loss but it would be nice to see what days more calories were burned and how that effected by caloric intake and macro break down. It also would more accurately track the metabolic rate.

I think with some tweaks the app could work great but compared to something like HitMeal for iOS, it falls well short.

### 3/5 — Works very well for me

*2026-01-30, version 2.7.1*

I’ve only been using this app for 1 week & I’ve already lost 8lbs. I started 185lbs on 1/22 it’s 1/29 & I’m 177lbs.

### 4/5 — Calories not accurate

*2025-12-31, version 2.7.0*

The calories assigned to foods are not correct. Example: the box of Barebells cookies and cream protein bars says they have 210 calories each. The app has options for 199 or 200. The option labelled “barebells cookies and cream protein bar” is 110 calories. Better to enter the calories yourself

### 4/5 — I love the app but…

*2025-12-06, version 2.7.0*

Everything is wonderful and has helped with me control my nutrition for my UC. In my late 60’s, overweight. The only thing I don’t like is the searches or scanned items so t stay so you can go grab for adding to the day macros

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Search function useless

*2026-07-10, version 2.8.0*

I found the dunkin iced coffee i like. Ai generated. It has cream in it. Tried to add another and could not find it. Searched to try to add it as an ingredient. Could not find it even though i typed it exactly the same. You cannot favorite foods. The “saved foods” is for adding your own

### 1/5 — Scan

*2026-03-11, version 2.8.0*

Scan doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Mid at best

*2026-02-14, version 2.7.6*

AI search is always inaccurate, submissions are scattered and random, unable to edit and correct anything. You’re better off paying $20 to the leading calorie tracking app. This one is trash.

### 1/5 — terrible

*2026-02-12, version 2.7.5*

not user friendly at ALL. it should be a crime to charge this much for an app like this. especially when there MFP, lose it, and cronometer out there

### 1/5 — Don’t buy premium

*2026-01-23, version 2.7.0*

I bought the premium for the bar code scanner and it hasn’t found a product all day

### 1/5 — AI Additions

*2025-07-29, version 2.4.0*

Nobody wants AI results. They don’t even stream line the process. Just create a better search engine.
Otherwise, it’s a great app

### 2/5 — Add micronutrients and ai is wildly inaccurate

*2026-08-10, version 2.8.0*

The app is really nice and I like that there’s more nuance to the calorie goals opposed to other apps. But for such a Hefty subscription price I’m extremely disappointed to not be able to see micronutrients or even fiber intake. These things are just as important to nutrition and true health as macronutrients. I also added a chick fil a kale crunch salad and the ai calculated it to be 400 calories but it’s actually 170. The grilled nuggets were more accurate calorically but the macros were very off. About a 8 gram protein difference. They say to check the info but don’t give you a way to edit it and their feature for adding calories without a label doesn’t allow you to track macros.

### 2/5 — In App Purchases Are Too Much

*2026-02-04, version 2.7.1*

15$ a month for bare minimum

### 3/5 — Nah

*2026-09-01, version 2.8.1*

Wanted to like this app! Seemed to have great potential!
2 problems: seeing any macros is behind a paywall, which I don’t care much for the fancy upgrades, but seeing how much protein I’ve consumed is pretty necessary.
Plus the food I kept inputting was higher calories than the container itself said aka my non fat Greek yogurt was 40 calories more than it actually was.
If these were fixed it’d be a great app!

### 3/5 — Questionable calorie content data

*2026-08-11, version 2.8.0*

Definitely helpful but there are multiple entries for the calories in a food which makes it difficult to know which is accurate. I even found one for “fried chicken and mashed protesters”. 😂
Make one wonder who’s editing this thing. It did help me reach my goal though.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Food life balance

*2026-09-06, version 2.10.1*

Love this app!

### 5/5 — Simple and does what it says it’ll do.

*2026-09-04, version 2.10.1*

Every other calorie tracking app or fitness app over complicates everything. This app takes formulas and uses the data you put in to actually curate a plan for you. I said I wanted to lose 2 lbs a week and it has me doing exactly that. And maybe that isn’t so special but what is special is the fact that this app doesn’t shove its subscription version down your throat. Yes it’ll pop up every couple days or so. But, to me it actually does seem worth it but the app works perfectly fine without paying a cent. No ads either. If you’re actually serious about your diet and cutting/bulking is something you do frequently and need real data that updates in real time based on your progress get this app.

### 5/5 — Free service is amazing

*2026-08-06, version 2.8.0*

The free package is absolutely amazing and works perfectly for just counting calories if you’re not too serious to commit! It’s calorie tracking ai is free to use and really helps me out a ton!! The paid service is definitely worth it if you really want to get commited and isn’t hard to use at all!

### 5/5 — great app!

*2026-07-25, version 2.8.0*

i lost over 40 lbs with this app, really recommend it

### 5/5 — Helps me understand just how much I’m eating

*2026-06-07, version 2.8.0*

I love this app! I find being able to write down what I’m eating and have the app add it up is very helpful. I love too how it adjusts your calories based on your goals. :) Good app for my basic needs.

### 5/5 — Just be in calorie deficit

*2026-02-27, version 2.7.6*

This app works great for tracking calories. It’s got an AI search for foods. It’s simple to lose weight. Be in a calorie deficit, don’t cheat, don’t lie to yourself. You’re going to be hungry. You get used to it. You got this. Try and get healthy foods, but in a pinch; you don’t need them. Just track your calories

### 5/5 — It’s a good weight loss app

*2026-01-12, version 2.7.0*

I have lost weight with this app. It helps a lot and it’s free so it’s 10x better because every other weight app that I’ve seen you always end up having to pay for it so it’s a good app and it will help you.

### 5/5 — Helps

*2025-10-24, version 2.6.1*

Great app!!!

### 5/5 — Simple and useful

*2025-10-07, version 2.6.1*

Very simple and easy to navigate. I love this app, it does just what I need it to do and best of all NO ANNOYING ADVERTISING.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2025-07-11, version 2.3.0*

Seems pretty accurate in terms of how many calories I need a day for someone who works out daily.
