## What is Gym Strength Log?

GymDroid is the gym strength log with real workout plans built in. Pick a training plan, follow it day by day, and track every rep, set, and weight with precision. Built for bodybuilders, powerlifters, and everyone serious about strength training.

Workout Plans

Choose a ready made training plan and let GymDroid coach you through it. Your plan lives on the Home screen: it shows exactly what to train today, prefills your reps, sets, and weights, and raises them week after week using proven strength training principles. Missed a day? Confirm it or fill it in later. The plan keeps up with real life.

The catalog keeps growing. Today it includes Full Body Foundation for the gym, Dumbbell Home Essentials for training at home with just a pair of dumbbells, Bodyweight Home Basics with zero equipment, and Curves & Confidence designed for women. New plans and specializations are added over time.

Squat, Deadlift and Bench Press Specializations

Want one lift to move fast? Run a nine week specialization alongside your plan. The load climbs from 70% to 90% of your max through hypertrophy, strength, and peaking phases, with an unload week for recovery.

Create Your Own Plans and Specializations

Build your own workout plan from scratch: pick the training days, the exercises with replacements, the sets and rep ranges, and let GymDroid run the progression for you. Or design your own specialization for the lift you care about most.

Train at Home or in the Gym

Home plans need nothing but a pair of dumbbells, or no equipment at all. Your workout plan and your training log work in the gym, in your living room, or on the road.

Powerful Workout Logging

Log every training session in seconds. Track reps, sets, and weight for every exercise: barbell lifts, bench press, squats, machine work, and bodyweight movements. Your complete gym log, always with you.

Muscle Analytics

Know exactly which muscles you're training. GymDroid's muscle group chart breaks down your training across every muscle: chest, back, shoulders, biceps, triceps, abs, glutes, and legs. Spot imbalances, fix weak points, and build a physique as balanced as your training plan.

Per Exercise Progress Tracking

Every exercise in your strength log has its own analytics:

• Strength growth rate: track your strength gains in %
• Volume growth rate: see how your training volume evolves over time
• Personal records: know exactly when you set a new PR on bench, squats, barbell rows, or any other lift

Your Athlete Profile

GymDroid builds a complete picture of your performance over time:

• Power Index: measure how strong you're getting
• Endurance Index: track your work capacity and gains
• Balance Index: see if all muscle groups are developing evenly
• Training streak and workout frequency analytics

Advanced Lifting Features

For the serious gym goer:

• RPE tracking (Rate of Perceived Exertion), per session and per set
• Group identical sets for faster logging
• 140+ exercises: bench press, deadlift, squat, pull ups, hip thrust, barbell row, and many more
• Detailed guides for every exercise: 3D animation and start and end pose images, with a male or female athlete matching your profile
• Add notes and log injuries on any exercise, right where you train it
• Create custom exercises
• Full workout history

For Bodybuilders and Powerlifters

Run a classic bodybuilding split, a 5x5 powerlifting routine, or a GymDroid workout plan. Log every lift, track your gains, and watch your muscle progress grow.

Track Your Body Weight

Log your body weight and watch your gym progress translate to real physical change.

No fluff. Just a clean, fast gym log with workout plans and analytics for lifters serious about their gains.

### 5/5 — The best workout tracking app on the market

*2025-12-12*

I was a professional athlete for 12 years and during my career I have used many different workout apps.
One of the biggest issues I had was tracking my exercises inside the apps. Almost always some exercises would be missing from the menu and there were no options to add custom ones. The other flaws were statistics or UI.
But this app nailed it. It has one of the biggest list of exercises right of the shelf and they are well categorized, but the biggest thing is that you can make custom exercises and add them to the library with just few, easy to follow steps. Also the statistics is amazing, you can track each segment very well.

Yes there are some features missing, but I am sure they will add them on the go.

Huge recommendation to anyone that tracks exercise and progress consistently.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5.6 — 2026-09-02

New in Version 1.5.6

GymDroid now reads naturally from right to left. Using the app in Arabic or Hebrew, every screen follows the writing direction: the workout log, your history, workout plans, statistics and the exercise library are all laid out the way those languages are read.

What's New
- Full right to left layout for Arabic and Hebrew across the whole app
- Back buttons and navigation now sit consistently on the same side in right to left languages
- 3D exercise animations, charts and numbers stay crisp and readable in every language
- Fixed: button labels that overflowed in some languages now fit cleanly
- Small bug fixes and polish across the app

GymDroid is your gym workout tracker and strength log: 3D exercises, workout plans, muscle analytics and progress in 34 languages.

### 1.5.5 — 2026-08-31

New in Version 1.5.5

Your workout history got a fresh look. Every card now shows the exercise in 3D with its type badge riding the thumbnail and the muscle groups it trains as coloured labels, and the same clean exercise card now runs through the whole app: the workout log, the plan setup and your history all match the exercise library.

What's New
- A fresh look for your workout history: the exercise in 3D, its type badge and muscle group labels on every card
- The same clean exercise card everywhere: workout log, plan setup and history now match the exercise library
- Starting a plan you built yourself now ends with the full plan ticket, your days and exercises laid out before you launch
- A clearer start button for specializations
- Fixed: workout weights now follow your kg/lbs setting everywhere, including your coach's starting weights, and update the moment you switch
- Small wording fixes across all 34 languages

Your gym workout planner, workout log and personal records tracker, in kg and lbs.

### 1.5.4 — 2026-08-29

New in Version 1.5.4

GymDroid now coaches your workout plan, not just your log. This update turns workout plans into a guided start: a coach who suggests the plan that fits you, sets your starting weights from your own training, and shows up on Home when today's workout is still waiting.

What's New
- A workout plan suggested for you, right on Home: the training plan that fits where you train, how often, and your level
- GymDroid decides or you decide: pick the blue weight and the coach sets the plan length, the deload weeks and a starting weight for every exercise, or pick the red one and set everything yourself
- Starting weights from your own history: the coach reads your workout log and personal records, borrows from related exercises you have done, and falls back to strength standards for your level and bodyweight
- The coach on Home: when today's workout is still waiting, the coach opens today's session with a start button
- Specializations get the same guided start as full plans
- Plan previews open instantly and follow your language
- Bug fixes across workout plans, exercise animations and the training log

Your gym workout planner, workout log and personal records tracker, in 34 languages.

### 1.5.3 — 2026-08-26

GymDroid 1.5.3. The exercise library is now the fastest way into your workout log.

A LOG BUTTON ON EVERY EXERCISE
The Exercises tab was a place where you could only look. Now every exercise in the list carries its own log button, so the moment you finish a set at the gym you record it straight from the list. Tapping the exercise still opens the full details. One tap to browse, one tap to log.

A CLEANER EXERCISE LIBRARY
All exercises now live in one clean card. Each row shows the muscle groups the exercise trains as coloured labels with 3D icons, and the exercise type sits as a small 3D badge right on the animation. Less clutter, more of what matters: the exercise, its muscles, and the log button.

DETAILS OPEN INSTANTLY
Opening an exercise used to show a blank page and a loading dialog. Now the details screen appears instantly, animation and all, while your training history quietly loads behind it. No waiting between you and your personal records.

ONE PICKER EVERYWHERE
Choosing an exercise now works the same everywhere in the app, including when you build a training plan: search, favourites and muscle group filters included.

### 1.5.2 — 2026-08-01

GymDroid 1.5.2. Your plan card finally shows the actual sets, and you can log a workout on any day of the week.

LOG ON EVERY DAY
The Log a workout button is now there on every single day. Rest day, a day with no plan, a day you already finished: the button is in the same place with the same name, and one line under it reminds you that this is where extra exercises outside your training plan go. Before, a rest day just told you there was no workout and left you with nothing to tap.

REAL SET TABLES ON HOME
The plan card on Home now shows the same set tables you already know from your history cards. Today, upcoming days and missed days show what is prescribed. Finished days show what you actually did, with RPE on the sets you rated. Identical sets are grouped, so four sets of the same weight and reps read as one clean row with x3 instead of four repeated lines.

TODAY, FINISHED
When you finish today's workout, the card turns into exercise rows with their tables. The old duplicated list is gone, so you see each exercise once.

A CLEARER START
The green Start today's workout button is visually separate from logging, so it is obvious which one runs your plan and which one records something extra. The plan card also got a proper ticket perforation between exercises, punched holes and all.

FIXES
The find a plan card no longer flashes for a moment right after you start a plan, and it only shows up for people who do not have an active plan.

Use GymDroid as your gym strength log and workout tracker. Follow a training plan, log reps, sets and personal records for every muscle group, chest, back, shoulders, biceps, triceps, legs and abs, and build smarter strength training.
