### 5/5 — Strive rating

### 5/5 — Great simple to use app

*2026-09-05, version 2.0.3*

I like the app and think it is easy to use and keep up with progress, the only thing I wish I could see is workout plans that others have created, to have examples of workout plans that others use. Or preset workout plans for targeted muscles!

### 5/5 — Best workout app.

*2026-09-04, version 2.0.4*

This app is so easy to create routine save workouts and track your progress. Every time you start an exercise it shows your previous weight lifted, which is so helpful for gains.

### 5/5 — Great simple app

*2026-09-04, version 2.0.3*

Perfect for tracking progress. Lots of features that take some figuring out, but it's free. The upgraded version looks like it would be worth it if you want help designing and growing your routines.

### 5/5 — Free

*2026-09-04*

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’ve tried a lot of different gym and workout apps, and Strive is by far one of the best I’ve used. What really stands out to me is how much you can actually do with the free version. A lot of fitness apps lock most of their useful features behind a subscription, but Strive gives you a ton to work with without having to pay.

It’s easy to use, has plenty of features for tracking your workouts, and actually feels useful instead of constantly trying to push you toward the paid version. If you’re looking for a solid gym app, especially a free one, I definitely recommend giving Strive a try.

**Developer response:** Thanks a lot, I wish you some great progress!

### 5/5 — Great

### 5/5 — Best workout tracking app

*2026-08-31, version 2.0.1*

Me and my partner have been using this app for about 6 months now and it is by far the best workout tracking app we have used. There are free and paid plans, you can customise your own , and there is a huge variety of exercises to choose from, I have only needed to add one or two. You can also really easily track your consistency and there are streaks for people who find that useful

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-08-30, version 2.0.3*

Best gym app, free and very easy to use, while still having plenty of customisation and other features

### 5/5 — Very good app

### 5/5 — Amazing App!!

*2026-08-26, version 2.0.1*

I love tracking my workouts and progress in this app. It’s super user friendly and helpful. If you aren’t familiar with an exercise, there is a clip of the movement as well as directions, which helps a lot

### 5/5 — Top

### 5/5 — 10/10 product

Amazing app, I would love to see more calisthenic exercises incorporated into the exercise library.

### 5/5 — Best gym app

*2026-08-19*

The best gym app I have ever used! You don’t have any limits of the number of workouts you can create. Lots of options to track your progress (rir, notes, tempo, sets and more). I’m giving it 5 stars without hesitation!

**Developer response:** Thank you sir!

### 5/5 — Great app, small suggestion

*2026-08-16*

I’m using it from past 1 year juat small suggestion in the cardio exercise there is one field for distance could you give option there to change unit from miles in km as in india we use km rather then miles

**Developer response:** You can already do this per exercise, just press menu on exercxise card

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — This app ignores the appstore in app rating setting and asks anyway.

*2026-02-25, version 0.8.5*

Stop begging.

### 3/5 — review

*2026-08-20, version 1.4.4*

annoying that it tries getting you to buy the subscription all the time but it’s a good way for me to track all my workouts

### 3/5 — Like it Better than Strong

*2026-03-06*

Switched after Strong major upgrade that made it worse in my opinion.

The major shortcoming with this app is that if you need glasses and you’re not wearing them while you’re in the gym, you’re going to wind up, hitting the wrong button and doing something destructive. For example, I went to update one of my routines, and I hit the wrong button. It deleted everything from the routine, except the one exercise I was updating. There doesn’t appear to be a way to get it back with something like an undo command. You can go to history and view history and then you at least know what to re-enter but you have to go through the whole process of re-entering the exercises. At least the history is maintained, even if you deleted some of the exercises.

**Developer response:** Thanks! I think everything is explained pretty clearly and all you need to do is to read warning with understanding, but I added and undo option to my todo list too

### 3/5 — Good app with scope of improvements.

*2025-06-12, version 0.3.19*

Needs improvement in some areas but overall useful app. The app size is relatively big, hopefully it can be reduced to make it lightweight.

### 3/5 — Almost there!

*2024-05-22, version 0.1.30*

A very promising app but some glitches: doesn’t always save when you want to. The ‘placeholder’ feature for substitute exercises would become very useful if placeholders could be given a custom title eg. Horizontal Push, Hinge Extend or else Lower Core, Upper Chest that would describe the kind of substitute. and also the ability to Superset placeholders. That way a generic routine could be used the same way as a specific one.

### 4/5 — Très bien

*2026-10-27*

Très pratique pour le suivi de ses entraînements. Je l’utilise depuis quelques mois et je la recommande

### 4/5 — Very Functional

*2026-09-28, version 2.0.4*

The app has a deep library of exercises and facilitates tracking progress very well. All the stats your average lifter needs are included in the free version.

### 4/5 — Great For Tracking Progress

*2026-09-23, version 2.0.4*

I downloaded this app after realizing writing my workouts on pen and paper doesn’t do it for me. This app has helped me record and notice my progress much better! The new update shows when you’ve hit rep PR’s and stuff which I love. If I could give this 4.5 stars I would. It would be 5 stars if I could pre-load my training sessions into the app at the beginning of the week instead of having to put them in the day of/as I go.

### 4/5 — Bit complicated

*2026-08-15, version 1.4.4*

New to the gym so logging my weight training through the app. Works fine but probably a lot more than I need. Probably 5* for a more dedicated weight trainer.

### 4/5 — Good, simple training app

*2026-07-07, version 1.4.4*

Very good, clean training app. Simple interface. The chime at the start of the rounds is great. The only hitch is when you’re doing timed on/off sets you have to interact to end the round. If it was able to chime at the start of rest and start of set (for timed sets only) I’d be made up.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Meilleur journal de musculation du store

*2026-10-27*

Tout simplement parfait et ergonomique

### 5/5 — IT’S FREE!!

*2026-09-29*

This is such a great workout tracker! I spent a while researching a downloading workout trackers but all of them had many ads and a paywall to do anything of value. This app lets you have everything you need for free with no ads! I love how you can make routines and see your progress in graphs for each exercise. I also love how it auto-fills each exercise with the weight you did last time so you can see how you’re progressing while doing the workout. I love this app so much!!

**Developer response:** Awesome, thanks a lot and keep pushing!

### 5/5 — Great Gym App

*2026-09-28, version 2.0.4*

It had a ton of workouts you can log and I love the information it provides after the end of the workout (especially the body map which highlights the muscles you targeted). Sometimes you do need to add exercises tho!

### 5/5 — I love how it’s free and no ads

*2026-09-27*

I did a lot of research before settling on Strive, and I’m so glad I did. I really love all the features that you can do on this free app such as building your own custom workouts and keeping track of your progress within individual exercises. I also really like that each exercise has an animation (albeit very simple), and guided steps. It does not have all the bills and whistles that other fancy apps may have, but for anyone who’s serious about strength training and is looking for a free version, and a solid gym, log and tracker this is it. I also love that it has no ads, it’s just pure data and workout. I hope this never changes!

**Developer response:** For sure it won't, thanks and keep pushing!

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2026-09-19, version 2.0.4*

You can make endless workout routines... other apps only allow 2-3 before they charge you a subscription fee

### 5/5 — Excellent app, great free tier

*2026-09-16, version 2.0.4*

Very robust features in the free tier and no ads. Recommended

### 5/5 — Perfect workout app

*2026-09-16, version 2.0.4*

Does everything you need and does it well. Does not drown you in functions or lock what’s important behind a subscription.

### 5/5 — Peak

*2026-09-15, version 2.0.4*

Isn’t too annoying. A very chill and good workout app. Underrated. It doesn’t make me feel bad for not doing a workout. Or annoyed and get off my jam. Very good. The only addon I’d consider is some more exercises that include calisthenics/ Pilates in the library

### 5/5 — The best fitness app!

*2026-09-15, version 2.0.4*

I’ve tried lots and this is the best app available without paying a fortune in monthly fees.

### 5/5 — Best Free Workout Tracker Out There

*2026-09-12, version 2.0.4*

Been looking for an app like this for years. The one-man-show has pulled off something great
