## What is Gym Workout Planner Log?

You put in the work. GRIPT shows it's paying off — every set logged in seconds, every workout turned into charts so clear you can see your progress at a glance.

Open the app, log the set, get back to lifting.

BRING YOUR HISTORY WITH YOU
GRIPT reads exports from 19 popular workout trackers directly — every PR, every number. No export? Share a CSV, PDF or notebook photo to GRIPT, or paste your log as text, and AI import turns it into history. Plans become routines. Export anytime.

LOG A SET IN SECONDS
• A custom keyboard built for lifting — weight steppers, one-tap RPE/RIR, plates, add set, complete set
• Your previous numbers next to every set — see them, beat them
• Supersets, warm-up, failure, drop, and cool-down sets
• Rest timer that learns your pace — live on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island
• Set stopwatch, plate and warm-up calculators one tap away
• Barbell, dumbbell, machine, bodyweight, cardio with distance, and timed sets
• Works fully offline — it syncs later

PERSONAL RECORDS
• Every PR you've ever set, in one place — search, sort, see how much each one moved
• New records light up the moment you finish: completion screen, history, share cards — with the number you beat
• A set shouldn't count? Exclude it, or reset records from a date. Nothing is deleted
• A history chart for every record, with PRO

SEE WHAT'S ACTUALLY WORKING
This is where GRIPT pulls ahead — 19 charts, beautifully clear:
• Estimated 1RM, max weight, volume, reps, working weight range
• Weekly volume and weekly sets per muscle group — built for hypertrophy
• Muscle load heatmap, muscle balance radar & muscle split — spot what you're skipping
• Training load heatmap, training-day calendar, workouts per week vs. your goal

KNOW WHAT TO LIFT NEXT
GRIPT suggests your next weight and reps from your sets and effort, spots plateaus, recognises deloads, and shows the reasoning behind every call. First suggestions free, the rest with PRO.

APPLE WATCH, IPAD, SIRI
Log sets with the Digital Crown and get rest timer taps on your wrist. Split View on iPad. Start a routine, run the rest timer, or log your weight from Siri, Spotlight, and Control Center.

ROUTINES, YOUR WAY
Build and reorder routines, tweak them mid-workout, update them in a tap. Start from the library, swap any exercise for a similar one, schedule your next session from the finish screen.

WATCH YOUR BODY CHANGE
Body weight, body fat, and every body part from neck to calves, with goals and reminders. Progress photos link to workouts and compare side by side. Workouts save to Apple Health; weight and body fat sync both ways.

FINISH STRONG, SHARE IT
Every session ends with a clean summary — new PRs and next targets up front — and story-ready share cards. Send any workout or routine as a link; friends can try it in one tap.

AN EXERCISE LIBRARY THAT TEACHES
Hundreds of exercises with how-to steps and common mistakes in your language, plus your records, history, and charts on each. Create custom exercises, or report a missing one and we'll add it.

FREE TO START
Unlimited workouts and exercises, full history, personal records, and core charts — free, with up to 3 routines.

GRIPT PRO
Unlimited routines, progression suggestions, the full Performance tab, record history, plate & warm-up calculators. Free trial available.

GRIPT PRO is an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.

### 1/5 — Keeps crashing

*2026-10-15*

Won’t let me do anything crashes a few seconds after opening. Needs updated.

**Developer response:** Hi Matt, thanks for reporting this, and sorry for the trouble. We found the cause: on some devices, saving a finished workout to Apple Health crashes Gript when Apple Health hasn't granted permission to write Active Energy. Because the app retries that save on launch, it keeps crashing right after opening. The fix is in our next update – 1.18.0.

Until then, you can stop the crashes by opening iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Gript and turning on Active Energy. Your workouts are safe and will sync to Apple Health as normal.

If anything still isn't right, email us at help@griptapp.com and we'll sort it out personally. Thanks for sticking with Gript!

### 5/5 — Best I have found

*2026-10-15*

So I haven’t gone to the full version YET but I really like the logging and interface. The app is intuitive and informative with good feedback on proper lift mechanics to follow. I normally start with my phone and then complete the workout on my Apple Watch. Really easy to build your own or easy to find a pre-built workout to follow. Honest feedback about your performance means that it will adjust reps and weight to maximize your effectiveness. If I HAD to find a flaw it would be with the watch not always keeping up with the program should you move to another exercise out of order on the phone and but it isn’t enough to make me rate poorly. I think you’ll be happy with your results and likely move to the full paid version if you give the app a try. I know I likely will.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for this thoughtful review! It's great to hear the logging, the form guidance, and the auto-adjusting reps and weight are working well for you, and that starting on your phone and finishing on your Apple Watch fits how you train.

Thanks for pointing out the watch falling behind when you jump to a different exercise on the phone. That's exactly the kind of detail that helps us. Starting on one device and finishing on the other should feel seamless, so we're looking into keeping the watch in sync when you go out of order. If you can tell us the steps (which exercise you were on, which one you jumped to, and what the watch showed), please send them through the feedback option in the app so we can reproduce it.

We hope you love the full version when you decide to try it. Happy lifting! 💪

### 5/5 — Elegantly Dynamic!

*2026-10-09*

Gript is well designed and flexible. Its layout is simple, it works quickly, and tracking and importing workouts is easy. To top it off, it has solid workout generator that considers your prior workouts. It also handles progressive overload for you. If you’re looking for something more advanced than a simple logger and flexible enough for needs, this is it. Also the developer is very active and cares about improving the app.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much! It's great to hear the generator and progressive overload are working for you. That's exactly what Gript is meant to do – take the planning off your plate so you can just train. And thanks for noticing the updates. Most of them come straight from user feedback, so if there's anything you'd like Gript to do better, send it through the in-app feedback option and I'll read it personally. Happy lifting!

### 5/5 — Pretty user friendly and clean

*2026-09-19*

Could use a couple aesthetic fixes, but works great. Devs have built a lot really quickly it seems. Well laid out, graphs are great, very easy to edit in-workout. They need an actual logo though haha

Annoyance- the menu buttons are smaller than normal Liquid Glass buttons and are harder to tap. Especially when sweating and breathing hard during a workout. Better spacing would help.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the detailed review, this is really helpful!

You're right about the buttons: the workout menu controls are currently a few points smaller than the standard Liquid Glass buttons, which makes them harder to hit mid-set. We're increasing them to the system size and improving the spacing in the next update.

We'd love to hear which aesthetic details bothered you. If you have a minute, email us at help@griptapp.com with what you'd change and we'll take a serious look.

Thanks for training with Gript!

### 3/5 — Cleanest app I’ve used

*2026-09-17*

I really like the cleanliness of the app. I don’t get lost in the screen. Seems like it’s in its infancy right now. Has some glitches and missing a few features I would like. With improvements it will easily be my favorite app

**Developer response:** Thank you! A clean screen you don't get lost in is exactly the goal, so this means a lot.

Gript is early and we're shipping updates every week. If you tell us which glitches you ran into and which features you're missing, we'll prioritize them. The feedback button in Settings goes straight to us, or you can email help@griptapp.com. We'd love to make this your favorite app.

### 5/5 — Best Workout App I’ve Ever Used

*2026-09-02*

I’ve been using Strong for years, and I’ve also tried several other workout apps, including Trainerize, JEFIT, and others, trying to find the perfect one. I was always looking for an app that could give me useful data and feedback, help with progression, stay simple to use, let me easily create my own splits, have built-in timers, and work with my Apple Watch.

Until I found Gript, I could never find one that checked all those boxes. I eventually just settled on Strong and programmed my own progression, which worked, but honestly wasn’t much different than carrying around a notepad.

Gript checks all those boxes and then some. The layout is simple, it’s easy to navigate, and I really like that it actually helps you know when it’s time to increase the weight. I’m not sure yet if it also recommends when to increase reps, but that’s something I’ll be suggesting to the developers because I think that would make it even better.

I also really like the amount of data it gives you. You can see your training trends, volume, muscle balance, training frequency, etc. The muscle balance feature in particular is really cool because it gives you an easy visual of how much you’re training each body part.

The exercise library is huge, and the demonstrations and cues are really helpful, especially when trying an exercise I haven’t done before.

From what I can tell, this is a newer app, and one of the things I appreciate most is that the developers actually seem to listen to feedback and respond. I had an issue with adding comments to individual exercises, brought it to their attention, and they were already working on fixing it and sent me an update afterward.

I’ve spent years trying different workout apps, and Gript is by far the best one I’ve used. It finally feels like I found the app I was looking

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for this review! Seriously, it means a lot to us!

We're really happy to hear that Gript finally feels like the workout app you were looking for. And good news... Gript does recommend when to increase reps too, not just weight, as part of the progression logic :)

We're still improving the app all the time, so keep the feedback coming. We're always listening!

### 5/5 — thanks for measurements

*2026-07-22*

THANKS for adding the way to log measurements in the app that was the last thing that I was missing

**Developer response:** You are very much welcome! Thank you for the beautiful words!

### 5/5 — Best charts!

*2026-07-20*

The charts in this app are insane good! please allow me to add them to the home screen of the phone like widget

**Developer response:** Thank you for beautiful words! Absolutely, we will be building home screen widgets in the near future.

### 5/5 — Wow

*2026-07-18*

I feel that every single time I open the app there is a new feature, thanks for making it better every day

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the kind review! Absolutely, that is the goal – ship fast, make users happy

### 5/5 — apple watch

*2026-07-18*

Love the app and lock screen widget but please add apple watch support it will make a Huge change for me

**Developer response:** Thank you for the review! We are working on the Apple Watch integration and hoping to ship it soon!
