## What is GymBuddi?

Track your workouts, progression, and volume in a customizable manner.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-10-06

# What's New — 1.2

Paste into App Store Connect → version 1.2 → "What's New in This Version".
Covers only what changed since 1.1 shipped — the ghost set rows, day previews,
pinned notes, calendar planning, deloads and bodyweight trend are all in 1.1
already and belong in `whats-new-1.1.md`, not here.

---

Check an exercise's history mid-workout

Tap an exercise's name while you are training it to see every past session for
that lift, newest first, along with your personal bests. The workout keeps
running behind it, so you can look something up between sets and carry on.

Rep ranges are optional

If you program in sets rather than rep ranges, switch them off in Settings and
plan slots just ask for sets. Any ranges you have already set are kept, not
cleared, so turning them back on restores everything exactly as it was.

A way out of the number pad

The number pad now has a button to put it away, so you are no longer stuck with
it up until you log a set.

Fixes

The rest timer no longer lands on top of the muscle tags on a workout card.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-26

# What's New — 1.1

Paste into App Store Connect → version 1.1 → "What's New in This Version".
Kept under 4000 characters, written for users rather than as a changelog.

Last week's numbers, without the guesswork

Set rows no longer arrive pre-filled. Last week's weight and reps now show
greyed out behind the empty fields, so you can see what you did without a
number sitting there as though you had already lifted it. Tap the log button
with a field left blank and it takes that number, so repeating a set is still
one tap.

Look at a workout before you start it

Tapping a day on the Today screen now opens it: the exercises, the sets and
reps, the rest times and what the day adds up to per muscle. Starting is its
own button. The play button on the row still starts straight away.

Pin notes to an exercise

Any note in an exercise's notepad can be pinned. Pinned notes sit at the top of
the notepad and, more usefully, on the exercise's card while you are training
it — so the seat height, the grip width or the cue you keep forgetting is on
screen when you need it.

See what is planned on the calendar

The history calendar can now draw the days from your plan as well as the
workouts you logged, so a Thursday you have not trained yet still shows what it
is for. Days you logged always take precedence. Switch it off in Settings →
Calendar.

Mark your deloads

Mark any day on the calendar as a deload and it shows in red, with a line above
the calendar telling you how many weeks it has been since the last one.

Bodyweight that ignores the noise

Bodyweight now shows a two-week average over your readings, an estimated
current weight taken from that average rather than from whatever the scale said
this morning, and your average gain or loss per week.
