## What is GymLift?

GymLift is a strength-training log that plans today's session for you: weights, sets and rest are set from your recovery, and every change comes with the reason why.

Log like a pro. Every set with previous values on the row, a rest timer that keeps running between screens, supersets, warm-ups, timed sets, custom exercises and a full exercise library with video demonstrations and substitutions. Start from an empty workout or a routine, your call.

Know your day. A 30-second check-in each morning plus your Apple Health sleep, resting heart rate and HRV become one readiness score against your own baseline. Bands from High to Recovery say what kind of day it is.

A plan that adapts. Built for your goal, days and equipment, then adjusted every day: lighter loads on a rough night, an extra set when you are fresh, a recovery session when your body asks for one. Every change shows its reason, and "Keep original" is always one tap away.

Apple Watch, both ways. Start on either device and the other mirrors it: sets, rest, heart rate. Leave the phone at home: the watch runs the whole session on its own and syncs later. Live Activity keeps the rest timer and the next set on the lock screen.

Your history, your data. Import the CSV from your previous tracker in a minute and keep every previous value and record from day one. Export everything as CSV whenever you like. Health data stays on your device and in your iCloud.

Free forever: the logger, your plan, the readiness score, history, Apple Watch, import and export. Pro adds the daily adaptation with its reasons, readiness trends and calibration, and a plain-language reason for every change.

GymLift is a training tool, not health advice. If pain persists, see a specialist.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.10.1 — 2026-10-24

GymLift 1.10.1 is our biggest update yet.
Your plan from the first minute: answer a few questions — goals, days, time — and see your whole week before your first workout.
Coach (Pro): tell it how you feel in your own words; it reads your sleep and recovery each morning and suggests changes to today's session, with the numbers.
Today, redesigned: the day's workout in one line, your recovery score, and a clear next step. Set a goal right from the top of Today.
Your target weight now shows your BMI and the healthy range for your height.
Back on a new phone? Sign in and pick up where you left off — your program and goals come back from iCloud.
Records count only when a set beats what you did before. Goals show how close you are and your next step.
Your watch shows your previous sets for every planned exercise.
11 new exercises with animations, and a readiness widget for your Home Screen and Lock Screen.

### 1.8.1 — 2026-10-15

Progress opens right away the first time, even with a tip on screen — no more freeze after setup.
Your week streak and calendar now count every workout after a restore from iCloud, including the ones older than two weeks.
The streak on Today no longer flashes a wrong number at launch.

### 1.8 — 2026-10-14

Milestones on the way to your goal: every round weight at your goal's reps is a step, and the first set that takes it earns a medal — in the workout, on the finish screen and on your lift's chart.
Your goal as a bar: on Progress, on each lift's screen, on Today and in Profile — with the next milestone and how many kilos are left.
New here? Five short tips show up where they matter: readiness, your plan, the first set, the finish and your goal. Skip them any time; bring them back from Settings.
Plan changes now say why in plain words — «load jumped this week», «short on sleep» — on Today, in Today's changes and in your history.
A faster, smoother Progress screen.

### 1.7 — 2026-10-13

Records, as they happen: before a set you see when a record is on the line, and the moment you check it off you get the win — a trophy for a new best, silver for your best in a year.
Apple Watch and the Lock Screen show a new record while you rest.
The finish screen lists today's records with what they beat; share a record or the whole workout as a card.
Achievements in Profile: workout milestones, all you've ever lifted, your week streak and every record by exercise.
Goal on a machine, plan on the barbell? Your barbell sets now count toward it at your own ratio, and Replace offers the same movement first.
Pro: a run of short nights, a sudden jump in weekly load or a stressful week now holds your weights — and "Why today" shows exactly what changed.

### 1.6.2 — 2026-10-13

Fixes a crash on Apple Watch when you check off a set mid-workout.
