## What is Gymshare?

Gymshare is the social home for your training. Log every workout, share your progress, and level up alongside a community that actually lifts.

TRACK EVERY SESSION
Build workouts from templates or your own custom exercises. Log sets, reps, and weights in a live session, then review your full history, personal records, muscle-group balance, and progress over time.

WORKS WITH APPLE HEALTH
Finished workouts are automatically saved to the Health app as strength training, so your effort counts toward your activity. Gymshare never reads your Health data, and you can turn saving off anytime in Settings.

SHARE THE LIFTS YOU'RE PROUD OF
Just hit a new PR or pulled off a lift worth showing off? Post the photo or video straight from your set and let the community celebrate it with you. React and comment on your friends' best lifts, and follow the athletes who keep you going. Your feed is built around real training — not noise.

LEVEL UP
Earn XP for every workout and post. Climb through tiers and turn consistency into progress you can actually see.

CHALLENGE YOUR CREW
Bet your spotters you'll all train three days a week for two weeks. Every finished workout counts on its own — no posting, no check-ins. Pick a stake between friends, watch the week grid fill up next to theirs, and finish the bet for XP. With three or more finishers the top three take medals.

LINK UP IN REAL LIFE
Organize group gym sessions, pick a location, and check in when you arrive. Training is always better together.

BUILT TO BE SAFE
Gymshare includes content moderation, easy in-app reporting, and user blocking so the community stays positive and on-topic.

Download Gymshare and make every rep count.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.3 — 2026-09-02

CHALLENGE YOUR CREW
Bet your spotters you'll all train three days a week for two weeks, or two
days for one, or five for four. Every finished workout counts on its own; no
posting, no check-ins. Standings are only bragging rights: most training days
lead, ties share a place, nobody is ranked on how much they lift.

Calling someone out takes three steps: pick a bet, pick your crew from the
people you spot, then a stake, a start and a cover. Stakes are presets between
friends, shakes or coffee on whoever misses, the gym playlist; Gymshare never
collects them. A bet can start right now or on a chosen day, and your crew can
still join after it has begun: everyone counts from the day they join, so
nobody starts with days already banked.

Each bet has its own cover and a week grid, one cell per day, your rhythm next
to your crew's. The bet keeps talking: it says when it starts, recaps each
week in the app, warns you at 48 hours and tells you the moment you hit your
target. Finish it for up to 40 XP, one paid finish a week. With three or more
finishers the top three take medals and extra XP, and a perfect bet pays a
bonus.

Live bets sit at the top of your feed; your record sits on your profile.
Notifications: Settings › Notifications › Challenges.

SHARE A BET, AND LET PEOPLE IN
Share a bet to your feed and anyone who spots you can join it from there, up
to twelve. Joining stays open while there is still time to reach the target,
and everyone counts from the day they join. Stop sharing, and the card is gone.
When it settles you can share how you did — your own result, never anyone
else's — or save it as a card for your story.

NEVER LOSE A WORKOUT TO BAD SIGNAL
Finish a workout in a basement gym with no bars and it no longer disappears.
The workout is saved, and we post it the moment you're back
online — so it still earns its XP and still counts toward a challenge. If
anything is waiting, the workout says so, with a button to post it yourself.
Your live workout also survives opening the app with no connection.

YOUR NUMBERS, EXPLAINED
The Levels page now tells you why it credits fewer workouts than your history
lists — the daily post limit, a deleted or hidden post, or one that hasn't
been posted yet. And you can see how many posts you have left today before
you finish, not after.

INVITE ANYONE, NOT JUST PEOPLE ALREADY HERE
Every Link-Up you're part of now has a share link. Send it to whoever you
train with and they see who's going, which gym and when — then they're in,
whether or not they had Gymshare five minutes ago. Tap "Share link" on the
Link-Up. It stops working once the session is over, and you can turn it off
before that.

TAKE YOUR TRAINING WITH YOU
Settings › Your data exports every finished workout as a spreadsheet (CSV) or
a complete record (JSON) — one row per set, weights in kg, nothing left out.
It's your history; you should be able to keep a copy of it.

BRING SOMEONE WITH YOU
Now you can invite the person you actually train with, not just people who
were already here. Your profile has an invite link — send it, and
whoever opens it sees who it came from before they've installed anything. It
doesn't expire, and you can turn it off whenever you like. It's offered where
you'd want it too: an empty feed, an empty spotters list, an empty search. And
your workout, PR and level cards now carry it, so a card you put on your story
leads somewhere and has your name on it.

### 1.1.2 — 2026-08-26

POST A LIFT, REBUILT
Sharing a lift is now a three-step flow — the lift, the clip, who sees it —
with a pinned bar so you always know where you are. Finishing a one-exercise
session? The app offers to post it as a lift straight from the finish screen.

YOUR PRS REACH THE FEED
Workout posts now spotlight what actually happened: new lift PRs, volume
records, streak milestones and progression — ranked, on the card and in the
detail view. Your best work stops hiding in the numbers.

FIND YOUR WAY
The bottom bar now labels every tab, the create button is front and center,
and one-time tips point out Link-Ups and History. Link-Up cards finally say
whether a session is upcoming, live right now, or already over — in the feed,
the schedule and the calendar.

GYM SEARCH THAT KEEPS UP
Picking your gym — for your profile or a Link-Up — runs on a faster search
with smarter ranking, and you can type a name manually when your gym isn't on
the map.

FIXES
• Checking a set "done" now saves exactly the values shown — suggested values
no longer vanish into a 0 kg workout
• My Posts loads your full history again, not just the first 30
• Past Link-Ups shows only your own, and can no longer hang while loading
• A failed post delete no longer loses the post's video
• Set chips read "1 × 95 kg", not the ambiguous "95 × 1"
• Weights entered in lbs are stored correctly in your stats

### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-11

A REBUILT FINISH SCREEN
Wrapping up a session now puts your photo or clip front and center, and merges
your PRs, stats and summary into one celebration card. Finish sits pinned at the
bottom, where your thumb already is.

STREAKS YOU CAN TRUST
Your streak now reads the same everywhere — profile, levels and your workout
stats card — with shield pips so you can see exactly what you've banked.

FIXES
• iPad: the Login button was cut off and could leave you unable to sign in
• Editing a post or workout: the Save button no longer hides behind the keyboard
• Personal Records no longer shows a phantom "WORKOUT" entry above your real lifts
• Finishing a workout can no longer strand you on the summary screen
• Captions and comments capitalize sentences as you type
• Share cards are reachable again, and square cards no longer overflow
• Weight and reps fields on a new post are clearer, with proper focus feedback
